List 3 Teachers

Of the many classes that I chose to take, my two favorites were an English course and Health course. I may want to be a K-9 Officer, and these have few things in common with that career goal, but they were my favorite courses because of the professors who taught the course. Janice (Meredith) Privott for the English course, and Matthew Harpold for the Health course. These two teachers helped push me to better myself in almost every way. Mrs.Privott helped me on a personal level with stress and trauma; from her support she made me a much stronger person. Mr.Harpold helped me with my self-esteem, he took the time to help me when I needed it, even when I wasn’t in his class, just as Mrs.Privott did.

During my life I have had several teachers with who I hold in high regard. Mr. Anthony Arico, Mr. Marty Berger, and Mrs. Edna Thomas to name a few. Even though all of the above named teachers had a very profound effect on my life; my all-time favorite teacher would be SSG Daniel Spencer retired. He was my ROTC instructor for approximately two years and has been a mentor throughout my adult life.

Through twelve years of school the teacher that stands out is my band teacher, Amanda Posey. She made me a better person, helped me grow up, and taught me many skills that I will use. She has made a positive impact and difference on my life. Posey has a passion for teaching music, teaches life lessons, and challenges her students making her an amazing teacher.

A high school teacher that has impacted my life is my 9th grade Geometry teacher, Mrs. Scully. Mrs. Scully has impacted my life from the very beginning. She has always been very caring and fun to be around. She is probably one of the most unique people in my life. She has always wanted me to do my best, and worked hard for me to understand the course. I was very troubled in mathematics, but the first time I received an 80 on a test in her class was the happiest moment for me. She is dedicated and she cares about you. She wants you to do good. I only had her for that year, but I still continue to see her. Sophomore and Junior year I would also use my tutoring time to be with her. I am now a senior class officer and she is our leader. She puts together senior activities and the officers help her. She influences me to be the very best person I can be. I see how she has these stylish cars and is overall happy with her life and committed to what she does. It’s inspiring and I can only wish to become as happy and successful as she is. My second grade teacher Mrs. Balzer was one of my favorite teachers through elementary school. Everyday after school while I was in her class waiting on the bus she would say "Dillon would you like a cheese stick?" Though cheese sticks was not my favorite snack and I didn't want to sound rude so i would say "yes ma'am." Learning was starting to change through grades there were more books, more homework and more classes. Another favorite teacher of mine was Mr. Britton. Learning the different things in my science classes have inspired me to become a chemist and a pharmacist in the future. My teachers have a great impact on my decision that I have made. Mrs. Swiney was my Pre-AP Chemistry and Forensic teacher for two years and has taught me almost everything I know. She taught the subjects in such an interesting and exciting way that I wanted to learn more. The classes were easy to me as well, so it just made it better. Mrs. Smith, my AP Chemistry teacher, made me finally decide that chemistry is something I want to keep in my life in the future. I understand it very well and tend to help my classmates with the subject. In the future, I want to attend a college majoring in Chemistry, and hopefully I will go

In 6th grade Mr. Strupp was always kind and a bit sarcastic, but in a friendly way. Mr. Fosse was funny and taught me math and science. Laura taught me how to play and do certain sports. In 7th grade Mr. Leister teaches me history, and I get to hear his interesting stories all the time. Ms. Duncan lays the hammer down, and strictly grades, which always encourages me to do my best. Ryan teaches me science (with a little help from Tim and Moby). Lastly Mimi, is a fun, but clumsy math teacher. All of them have been superb, and helped me through my two long years of Middle School.

For middle school, I had one great teacher that I really enjoyed. It was during my last year in middle school and I had Mr. Weisend. I met him at food lion one day sophomore year and I was so happy to see him. I’d just like to say thank you too him for always making class interesting and always giving us free time at the end of class. He also let me be a teacher assistant and that was fun because after cleaning I got to play games. He even impacted my life through social media by encouraging me.

I had wonderful teachers, always so helpful and there for me whenever I had a question. I felt that I could ask them anything and that means the world to me as a student. It is important to me to feel comfortable with a teacher to succeed. Their knowledge on things that didn’t come from our books was very helpful as well, I loved to hear all their real world experiences. They truly are incredible people and I hope they continue on teaching for many years because they are a big factor on why I am so passionate about my

My life was changed this summer after my winter swim team received unexpected news. We were told that we would no longer be able to practice at the same pool as before, leaving all of the swimmers without a place to practice. Unfortunately, this meant that my team, the Tiger Sharks, would no longer exist. I was devastated and now forced to bring myself upon a new team with unfamiliar faces. On my new team the head coach, Coach Bill, was able to assist me in making this transition easier and he was also exceptionally inviting to me and the other new swimmers. His unique training allowed me to immensely improve my swimming.

Being one of the four captains we were part of the decision making process for the new head coach of swimming. There were two promising applicants, Gayle and Ashley. Gayle had a vast experience in coaching several college, club, and high school teams. She seemed like a very hard-working and determined person, who firmly believed in encouragement coming from within the swimmer. The next candidate was Ashley, who swam on the Chaparral High School team five years ago, and was our assistant coach for the past two years. She was also a very persuasive, positive, and encouraging coach. All of the captains had a meeting afterwards to talk about who would be the most beneficial for the upcoming season, and decided Ashley would be the best fit. The high school swim team is a no-cut sport, so we get a lot of girls who have never swam before, and they join the team to learn how to swim while still getting involved. The team was separated into two groups (Junior Varsity and Varsity) to account for this happening. Therefore, the varsity group got a

Mr. Russell and Mrs. Tatum were both awesome teachers, taking their classes taught me a lot. They both had different teaching methods though. Mrs. Tatum was more of a hands on teacher, she wanted you to catch on as quickly as possible. If a student did not understand

Choosing a favorite teacher is fairly difficult when one puts into account all the types of teachers they have known, all of them are important. Teachers are the second most important people in our lives, right after our parents. Teachers are persuasive and have the power to build a child up from an immature student to become a responsible adult; or they can completely and utterly crush a students hopes and dreams.

"The high school swim team was a different experience for me this year. Everyone on the team is helpful, funny, and friendly which made me look forward to every practice. This team is like a second family to me and we all have a lot of fun both during the meets and pasta parties. Also, Coach Sudol and Coach Adele push all of us to try our best and all of us appreciate their hard work. I wish this season never ended, but I am looking forward to the season next year and making the best out of it."

Learning can be difficult, especially in a class like history, but lucky for me my 7th , 10th , and 12th grade teacher made history one of my favorite classes. Coach Fowler is the best teacher and coach that I have ever had. He really knew how to make class fun and keep me focused. He was also my football Coach, which also resulted in me wanting to do good and act right in his classroom. He knew when to joke, and he also knew when to take things serious. Having a teacher and also a football coach that you look up to and respect really encourages you to do good and not let him down.
