Published in 1597, this play’s plot consists of two young ‘star-cross’d’ lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. The play mainly attempts to communicate the struggles of young love. Romeo and Juliet’s theme of light and dark is portrayed through the main characters, Romeo and Juliet.
