A concerned mother wrote a complaint letter about the benefits of parent involvement. I disagree with her because it distracts classrooms. Also, parent involvement doesn’t prevent students from making mistakes. Last, although some parents come to help the teacher, a majority of parent “volunteers” don’t. First, parent involvement distracts classrooms. Some students get side-tracked with parents walking around the classroom during the day. For example, my mom used to be a parent volunteer, and when she walked into the classroom, the students watched her.
