I disagree with this argument in “Her Father shot her in the head , As a Honor Killing” Nicholas Kristof says that there is. AS he tells a story about how a woman named Saba who survived a murder from her own father. Her father said that he tried to regain honor back that she had taken from the family. I disagree from what he is saying because this is one of the only times we hear about these things. I do think it is a problem but not a nation problem that people have to deal with on a daily basis.
hile reading this book I have been able to connect with some of the characters. One of the characters I can relate to personally is Zoe. From what I have read so far, she doesn't have many friends and she doesn't really have her own thing. Sure, she is known by being Sierra Laybourne’s famous daughter. I don’t have a famous mother, but I can relate to her in other ways. When Zoe went to her support group she met a friend. Anna was Zoe’s first friend that she actually confided in. Like Zoe, I also don’t have many friends, but I do have a few close ones. Pushing Zoe to try new things, Aunt Jane is only trying to help. The truth is that Zoe isn’t really looking for a “thing” at the moment. Sometimes my parents try to push me to try new things, but most of the time I don’t like to be pushed out of my comfort zone. Relating with Zoe was easy for me, but there are some ways that we aren’t alike as well.
