Well, the time has come for me to finally put in my two cents and everyone has to listen. So, here we go… I vividly remember being a sophomore and Brooke Bushman telling me “Just wait. The time for you to give your senior speech will be here before you know it. You'll probably write a novel and make it rhyme or something like that”. Well, sorry to disappoint but I really have nothing proud like that to share. For me, softball was always just a game. It was just another enjoyable outlet

The amazing thing about my parents is that they truly and honestly only want to see me happy in life. They never once got mad at me for swinging a ball or making a bad grade because they know that I am trying my best. I am so grateful for this and so lucky to have parents like you guys. Okay, now my dad may have taught me the whole marathon thing but nobody showed me how to sprint to the finish line like my brother Tyson. I don’t think anything prepared me for high school more than Tyson’s reality of forgetting to do UT quests becoming my nightmares. He is not here today so he can’t get mad at me for saying that plus it is the truth. Tyson was by far my biggest inspiration throughout high school. Whatever he did I simply attempted to emulate. But when you have a brother who finished 6th in his class and now attends the United States Naval Academy that is not such a bad thing to do. To this day, my brother never ceases to amaze me. His hard work and dedication to everything he does in life is quite admirable and I am so proud to call him my brother. Next we have Meredith. Meredith is a freshmen here at Ridge Point and as a

Hello my names is Hannah Bibbins. I’m an incoming freshman and I will be attending Waterford High School. The reason I am writing to you is because I’m asking sponsorship or donation. I show in the waterford 4-H club. And this is my fifth year showing but I’ve been around my club since before I can remember. I am showing two goats in breeding (one doe and one buck). And I am also an aspiring herdsmen when it comes to goats. This is my second year showing my doe Cory and my first year showing my buck Calvin. They both have very fun and energetic souls. This is also my fifth year showing a pig. This year my pigs name is buba and he is a cross breed. And lets just say he's very stubborn but when it comes to the
Softball was not a sport I grew up playing since the t-ball age like most people who are still in the game at my age group. It wasn't till after my grandfather passed away in 2009 that my mother suggested to me that I tried playing the sport that my grandfather had a love for. After him being on of my biggest role model in my life and largest influences on both mine and my brothers lives I didn't hesitate to try. After only one year of playing house league softball in Belleville my coach asked me to join a select softball team. Knowing that this team would not have a pitcher in this upcoming season I practiced with my dad at the pitching mound In our backyard. I quickly picked up on to the skills
Growing up in a family that always played softball led me into the game that shaped my life. I have always had a gift for playing, and it came easy to me. Years of practice, and money spent on travel ball teams steered me into a life filled with softball. Softball was involved with my life all through my childhood and into high school.
Hello Trace last night show was awesome, you did a great job as always. I truly understand who you are after seeing your show “who is Tracie Collins.” However I would like to apologize for what happen last night, my friend gave Alfred White a flyer when she heard him asking me about my up and coming play. I pulled her aside and asked her not to pass out flyers. I explained to her before we came to the show that I wasn’t there to promote my play but to support you and your show. However other people asked me about my play as well, I told them to check my face book page for the times, dates and location if they where interested in going .
Did you know softball is challenging?Well,it is because you have to compete and you want to win.It is hard to win but i like it.Also,
Growing up softball was a big part of my life. Ever since I started playing at the age of five, I dreamt of being on the high school softball team. I would practice and practice just to make myself better. I would beg my dad to come outside and hit pop flys for me to catch or pitch to me so I could work on my swing. Everything I did was supposed to make me good enough to get a spot on that team.
My name Brittany Biggar, and I’m currently attending the University of Lethbridge, completing by B.SC/ B.Ed. I grew up on a farm, just outside a small hamlet in southern Alberta and I’ am lucky to still call it home. The community that I grew up in was very small, so small that we were given hamlet, instead of town status. Although our “hamlet” didn’t have much to offer amenity wise, there are many other things small towns can offer and for me, I couldn’t have imagined growing up in the big city.
My hard work not only helped my team, but helped myself. Softball taught me that having effort and ambition will make you successful. I learned that my own hard work didn't only benefit me, but it benefitted my teammates around me. I also was forced to leave my comfort zone. Looking back, my decision to play softball didn't seem like a big deal then. But without it, I don't think I would the hard working, competitive person that I am. I have learned the valuable skills of teamwork and humility. Softball shaped me into the person that I am
The dirt that sticks to your cleats after it rains, the heat from the beating sun comes down on your face. Softball is one of my favorite sports. I’ve been playing the game for about 7 years now. I love the feeling of joy when you get new equipment, and I love some of the girls. Some of the girls were just plain rude, and mean. You didn’t want to be around them. Even though you might love the game I learned you also have to respect the people you are playing the game with each day.
Softball is my favorite sport. I like softball because it requires you to always be aware of what’s going on. I also enjoy the fact that you have to be able to work well with others in order to be successful. Unlike other sports, there is no way to function as a single player. I think this helps to teach the value of building relationships with others as well.
Softball is my favorite sport. I love the excitement it brings me every time i smack the ball out of the park. The game of softball was created on Thanksgiving day 1887, but did not become a NCAA approved sport until 1910. (http://www.athleticscholarships.net/history-of-softball.htm) One person that i look up to as a role model is Jennie Finch. She is one of the best softball players that has played in the olympics multiple times. Not only did she just play in the olympics, but won a gold medal in the 2004 olympics, and a silver medal in 2008. She started to love the sport when she was young at age. She recognized the sport when she was a bat girl for the bruins baseball team. From that moment on, she began to fall in love with the sport. Her first time playing softball was around the age of five. Three years later, she started to practice as a pitcher. She wanted to work her way up to be the best in softball. As years past, she reached her goal and before she knew it she started playing in the olympics! ( http://usatodayhss.com/2015/jennie-finch-playced-softball-recruiting Jennie Finch 's love for the game was as great as her love for her family and friends. Her competitive nature was obvious from the start. She had great athletic ability. She was the best on her team; faster, bigger, and stronger than most of them. Her arm was like a cannon and she was a great
I've been playing softball since I was 8 years old. My family always been a baseball or softball family. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers and we all started playing at a young age. My parents signed us up to keep us out of trouble and motivated. It helped keep us busy on our boring days. Not only that but it was fun and enjoyable. Softball has always been a big part of my life. Playing softball always been a family thing, I had many challenges that I faced, and softball can really help through school.
