Los Cenzontles is a band, a nonprofit organization, a music academy, a community space for youth and families as well as a hub for Latino artists. The group works together to amplify Mexican roots in the Bay Area and beyond. Los Cenzontles produces original music, videos, and educational tools. They also teach classes in traditional Mexican music, dance, and arts and crafts. The group operates Los Cenzontles Mexican Arts Center in San Pablo, California. Dr. Lopez and Dr. Morrison were able to bring this band to Sonoma State University Weill Hall, especially for our CALS 165 class.

The front part is a store where you can buy chips and other stuffs. The other part is where you can buy meat, fish and other stuffs, you can also eat tacos and other Mexican food.

Most of the Nacirema travel to the edges of their land during the warm period of the year. They pack their vehicles with large sacks that contain food, drinks, odd-looking tools, and shiny boards. When they arrive to the edges of their land they can see water; lots of it. There are also trillions of really tiny rocks that are between the Nacirema's driving path and the water. When the Nacirema walk on rocks, they feel soft.

There are many urban legends out there today. The story can vary based on the teller but the plot remains similar throughout every story. One of my personal favorite legends is La Llorona, which means the weeping one. La llorona was a very beautiful woman who lived a good life, until an unfortunate event changed her life forever.

The Nacirema is a North America group who lives around the area of Canadian Cree, the Yaqui, Tarahumare of Mexico, the Carib, and Arawak of Antilles. The ritual activity is a big part in the Nacirema's lives. They spend a considerable amount of time performing a secretive ceremonies and posses a great amount of tolerance. Their focus is on the human body appearance and health. It is to their believe that human body is viewed as ''ugly'' and ''debility and disease.” Hoping to eliminate those undesirable characteristic traits, the Nacirema's only hope is to do so through ritual activities hence the shrine is built inside of every house.

World Renowned Sculptor Manuel Neri is one of the most brilliant artists of the 20th century. His works includes Mujer Pegada Series, paintings, drawings, and prints, though his primary medium is sculpture, his artistic talents has positions him in many facets of the art world. Born in 1930 in Sanger, California he spent most of his childhood in the San Joaquin and San Fernando valleys, where his parents worked as laborers. Neri attended San Francisco City College from 1949-50 with the intention of becoming an electrical engineer. A single class in ceramics turned him to art and a move to California College of Arts and Crafts and subsequent studies at California School of Fine Arts 1956–1958 (now the San Francisco Art Institute).

The destination I picked was a place called Villanueva Zacatecas. I picked this place because Villanueva is the place were my dad's side of the family lives. Before you get to Villanueva you are going to pass some of the things I did on my freedom quilt. When I was making my quilt I was looking at all the things you pass before getting to Zacatecas.

The thinness of the air can increase chances of altitude sickness including headaches, dizziness and nausea. As the team only arrived 20 minutes before the scheduled start of play, they may not have had enough time to acclimatize and properly warm up before the game, causing players to become fatigue a lot quicker and possibly injuring themselves. There is less air resistance due to the air being thinner, allowing the ball to move faster and further through the air, increasing chances of direct injuries

Elisabet Ney was a very important woman. She taught other women that you can do anything if you put your mind to it.I say this because she got into a university for only for men sculptors, and back then men didn't think women should able to sculpt.

There are definitely people who will be voting for Donald Trump and for everyone's sake, I hope that's out of ignorance. For those people, I'd like to shine a light on why he should not become President.

Murder, rape, robbery, and assault all reflect the influence of evil from media, family, friends, but ultimately fed by greed from inside. The rise and fall of these violent crimes will continue, but in the hopes of creating a positive society, efforts must be made by society and law enforcement to support a peaceful and good society. 1

The earth has lots of energy sources such as nuclear energy, fossil energy, and renewable sources. Solar, wind, geothermal, and water are renewable sources of energy. These energy sources are clean. They do not produce any pollution. But the most reliable energy source is the sun. The sun is an important part of living things. It produces an energy called solar energy. Solar energy is the earth’s main source of energy which can be transformed into heat and electricity. Its energy was used to heat and to light homes during the earliest centuries. Without the sun, living things on earth would not surely survive because it would be extremely cold and dark. According to the article “Solar Energy,” every year the sun carries an average of 1.5 kilowatt-hours of energy to the earth in the form of visible light, X-ray, ultraviolet, and infrared radiation (Solar Energy). Solar energy can be converted into electricity in two ways. The first one is with the use of solar thermal or electric power plants that creates power by concentrating the sun’s energy to heat the liquid and produce steam which is used to power a generator. (Solar Explained). This is mostly similar to coal and nuclear power plant.
