>What Klaus did in response to Elijah and Hayley's doubt was legit abuse. He poisoned Elijah and scared Hayley because they dared to doubt his intentions? That's not justified. That's not even sane. The sane response is to say "No, I didn't even know that was possible," and then let them know that their assumptions hurt him. Not to poison and strand them in a way that left them zero recourse - even getting pissed off and throwing a punch would have been less abusive than what he actually did, because then Elijah could respond and defend himself. Not to mention that the level of harm involved is way, way lower than a werewolf bite. It was abuse? Did you not see the fight Klaus and Elijah had in the beginning? That's abuse both ways. So I …show more content…
She doesn't always need to get involved in the fights especially if someone is telling her to back off like how Elijah did. But she did anyways. Klaus didn’t want her help but she forced her way in anyways. Her reasoning, "I know every inch of the bayou." Also "Unless you want to be delayed by an angry werewolf grandma with a shot gun." I highly doubt that Klaus would ever forget serious information on where he buried Rebekah. It's not like we saw him asking Hayley for directions he was walking around like he was the one who spent 6 months in the bayou. Also an angry werewolf with a shot gun would not stop Klaus. Hayley only mentioned Mary not the wolves. All he would need to do is vamp speed past Mary and the other wolves if they're there as well. As far as the fight with Lucien goes he wanted to whoop Klaus' ass so bad he forgot about Rebekah and Hayley. He would have continued whooping Klaus' ass while getting hit a few times in the process until he decided to kill Klaus. Which by then Freya and Elijah would be present. Lucien likes to talk a lot and torture a little so he wouldn't go straight for the kill as we've

“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them”, says Maya Angelou, an American poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist. This quote reflects to Sarah’s journey in the novel Sarah’s Key by Tatiana De Rosnay, since the main character, Sarah, faces events that affect her well being, as they make her both weaker and stronger. These events causes her to lose her innocence, makes her persistent, and then eventually drives her to be pessimistic. Sarah experiences traumatic events through her journey, which leads her to change both in a positive and negative way.
When the book open up with the sentence: “Small trees had attacked my parents' house at the foundation” not only does the Joe mean the foundation of his house but also with his family. It's hard work removing of each new tree requiring 'its own singular strategy, but it's also frustrating. Joe and his father's imperfect tools make it impossible to remove all of them effectively, while if they leave them, it only creates ''convenient holes in the mortar for next year's seedlings.’’ After working on fixing his house, he finds that his mother was sexually abused and that it ruins her not only as a person, but she is not the same causing the families bond to be attacked as well. The crime that the family as to endure is an attack against the family’s firm foundation.

Causing a child to be terrified by the use of threats and or intimidating behavior is some of the worst emotional abuse. This includes witnessing, hearing or knowing that violence is taking place in the home.
As described in the article, abuse does not necessarily have to be physical to be considered abuse. Abuse comes in many ways: Physical, Verbal/ Emotional and even Sexual. This is a common misperception of people on the outside view of a relationship, or even the victim itself. Daily verbal abuse can be just as torturing as physical. It is not
The fifth form of abuse is spiritual violence. “Spiritual or religious violence occurs when someone uses a person’s spiritual beliefs to manipulate, dominate, or control the person.” (Page 1) While this may not seem like it would be that harmful it is. They are making the person
How does Pat Barker use symbolism in the novel Regeneration to explore the theme of emasculation?
It was enthralling; to feel her skin beneath his fingertips as the pair reignited the flame to their love, to taste her blood against his tongue as it served as the antidote to heal all opened wounds, to gaze into her emerald green hues only to find the love that had always remained. The hybrid found her just as enticing as he had over a millennium ago, that much hasn’t changed. After discovering Elijah’s scheme to rid him of her love forever, Klaus was infuriated. Centuries had passed where he was forced to endure the painful thoughts of what could have been, it was clarified that he hadn’t been the reason behind her brutal rejection all along. She had always loved him, as he did her, and that was enough consolation needed to maintain his

The myths and lore of the werewolf (http://www.livescience.com/24412-werewolves.html) had caught the imagination of not only the German public, but the whole of Europe during the medieval times. Such was the fear of this dreaded creature that people were burned at stake on mere suspicion of being a werewolf, much like the infamous witch hunts.
For Klaus’s first assignment, he was to travel to the pint-sized town of Wellington, located right on the edge of a forest and a large river. Upon Klaus’s first arrival, the town’s Sheriff met him at the house he would be staying at. The Sheriff, who Klaus thought he could count on to want the forest to be saved, turned out to be the exact opposite. The Sheriff wanted to build a lodge deep in the forest, which would mean the trees would be cut down for building the lodge, and for roads to get to and from the lodge. The river, a place salmon passed through on their journey to the ocean, was not
