Oh my god, please tell me you watched last nights episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, I actually died, it was so funny. I’m in love with Kendall, oh my god, she is so pretty. Being able to travel the world to places like France, Italy, Greece, Costa Rica and much more, working with famous brands, living in million dollar mansions in Beverly Hills and having everything you could ever want, sounds perfect. But if you take a deeper look at it, the Kardashians have a pretty hard life. Like, I can’t even imagine how difficult it must be to plan all your photoshoots, vacations, keep up with your millions of followers on Instagram, all while trying to avoid paparazzi. When an organization partakes in “proactive behavior…for the benefit of society,” it is deemed as socially responsible (P. 155). However, prior to labeling a organization as socially responsible, it is important that we first identify what specific elements of proactive behavior constitute a socially responsible business. To begin, for an organization to be considered socially responsible on the highest level, it must take a proactive approach to doing business. This is defined as “[taking a] approach to social responsibility in which an organization goes beyond industry norms to solve and prevent problems” (P.155). In addition, it is standard for a socially responsible organization to incorporate a larger scope of stakeholders, to include external stakeholders, in their business decisions to create positive externalities, and mitigate negative ones, to benefit society as a whole.

She is regarded as many for having the perfect body, and other women have felt the pressure to emulate her body in order to achieve the same vanity appeal.

Is campus carry truly effective in decreasing gun violence on campus? Or does it, instead, pose a threat to students and faculty? The campus carry law refers to the policies that allow appropriately licensed students and faculty to carry a handgun on campus as long as the gun is hidden from sight. Several states, including Texas, have passed concealed carry; as a result, polarizing debates have ensued over the effectiveness of the law. Shootings have been occurring at institutions of higher education since the early 20th century (Cobb 35). The first incident of campus shooting occurred at the University of Texas in 1966, by a student named Charles Whitman. Since then, there has been several other university shootings, and they have become more frequent within the last two decades. As a result of this, as well as other shooting incidents such as, Sandy Hook Elementary School, Oregon Mall, and Aurora movie theater, in recent years, the debate over allowing concealed carry on campus has gained a lot of momentum with very conflicting opinions. Proponents of concealed carry consider it to be the best answer to decrease the injuries and casualties of a gun related incident, while opponents consider allowing firearms on campus a threat to the safety of campus constituents. Agreeing with opponents of campus carry, I believe by allowing the concealed carry of firearms on campus, we are potentially compromising the safety of students and faculty, thus universities should push for

Not only have their older sisters gotten plastic surgery, but their mother and father both have had major plastic surgeries, which I believe influenced both the girls to follow in their footsteps and get plastic surgery at such a young age. Kendall and Kylie have also influenced society and younger girls to take after them in following their views on beauty and the “ideal” body image. This isn’t necessarily a positive message for their viewers, because as mentioned earlier the Kardashians have become the medias image of ideal features yet most of those features are a result of cosmetic surgery. If you ask most young girls about Kendall and Kylie Jenner they think of the beautiful model and beauty guru that are so influential to this generation and time. Kendall and Kylie learned all of this from their family who instilled the same ideas and beliefs in them while they were growing up. And as a result from their life being so publicized they are instilling those ideas and beliefs into their viewers. We can see the modeling process within the Kardashian family because they live interesting lives that capture the attention of children and teens looking for glamour and fame and high
