Hello, My name is Maisie Johnson and I am the program chair for our Beta Club. I enjoying doing many things which include, FCA, Cheerleading, and of course the wonderful Beta Club. This club has taught me how to get involved and contribute to my school and Manning High Beta will forever be in my heart for that!

Bruce Dawe is an Australian poet. Bruce was born in Fitzroy, Melbourne, 1930. At the age of 16 he dropped out of Northcote High School without completing his leaving certificate. Bruce was the only one of his siblings to attend secondary school. Dawe drifted between careers in his early life, working as a labourer for 10 years, before serving in the RAAF from 1959-68. After leaving the air force, Dawe taught as a Uni lecturer for 24 years. Bruce is now married with 4 children, and has collected a plethora of awards including; The Order of Australia, Ampol arts awards for creative literature, The Patrick white award and the Myer poetry prize (twice).

It was a long time since the began of the Gettssburg Address, and it was the most famous speech in both American and world history. The success of the Gettysburg Address come from different aspects, both in political aspects and its society constructive power.

Today I'm here to tell you about Stan the Man in his early life he lived it like any other kid did in the great depression he was born on November 21, 1920 his father worked at the steel mill and struggled to put food on the table for the family. He loaded wire bales onto freight cars. The family mostly struggled because Stan's dad struggled with alcoholism. Stans mother put in long hard hours as a domestic worker and the family often relied on donations from food pantries. Then Stan later remembered his mom making him baseballs “out of a little bit of this and that.” When Stan was a young adult he worked odd jobs to help support the family, to keep food on the table.

Peter Rosnick is a professor at Mount Holyoke College. He did not say who he was voting for, but he did give a detailed explanation of who he would like to be president. He stated that he is voting for someone who does not think that women should be objectified. He also encouraged people to vote for someone who respects the fact that immigrants built this country.

Now her parents were hurriedly learning a new vocabulary CAT scans, glioma, pediatric neurosurgery, and frontal lobe. A bomb had exploded in their midst, and, like troops under attack, they were rallying in response (Johnson 227). She refers to “bombs” figuratively, where everyday life is filled with joy and tragedies

In our lifetime a lot of unusual things will happen, some good and some bad. My speech in particular is about one of the bad things that has happened in our parents, maybe even grandparents lifetimes. This case is frightening and disturbing, but the most shocking part is how he doesn’t remember what he did or how he did it. All he remembers is being taken into custody and an abnormal loss of teeth. My information is from “my life among the serial killers”, written by Helen Morrison, an interview from CBS news, and an article written by one of the detectives assigned to the case. In “my life among the serial killers”, Morrison tells about her time hypnotizing “Baby faced” Richard Macek and the horrifying story of what he did.

Well, my dear baby spelman sister I am so happy that you are starting your journey, but I want to give you some tips to make these four years some of the best four years of your life.

With all of the different opinions, how can a single person write a speech that is respected among a majority and for years to come? Now, are these speeches actually as amazing as history has made them seem or has no one challenged popular opinion?  The speech, "Every Man a King", written by Huey Long has been categorized as one of the greatest speeches in history. Every Man a King uses writing techniques such as persuasion, rhetoric, and syllogisms to convey the message of spreading wealth.

In class we were shown a recording of the speech, “A call to men”. The first thing I noticed was the title, which made me immediately assume it was going to be a female speaker that was going to speak about feminism; or something along those lines. To see a man giving the speech grabbed my attention instantly. The man giving the speech was Tony Porter, and his audience was mostly women, who made me think, “Is this guy going to be giving a speech about feminism?” While listening to his speech I felt guilty for being quick to judge, because his speech was actually about growing up as a male, and being masculine is today’s society. While Tony Porter was giving his speech, he brought up stories that without a doubt every guy in our class could relate to that left many of us saying, “Wow”.

I am pleased to announce that Sponge Bob no longer reins supreme in Charlee’s choice of TV entertainment.  I often thought the creators of Sponge Bob smoked a ton of weed whilst working. Provocative and suggestive are understatements in my opinion. America never ceases to amaze me in regards to what becomes popular.

When I was a kid, my super hero was Superman, I kind of admired him because I thought it would be cool to be able to fly and to have super-human strength, but the main reason why I liked Superman is because he helped people, no matter what.

Humans are never content because, if any person is earning 2000 Dollars at this time a person is happy with that much. But after some time the same person will want to earn more because as a person earns as he or she Spent let’s suppose I am earning 2000 Dollars now days so according to that I eat I wear I use products and if my salary will increase from next month so then my expenses will increase as well even most richest persons are not content. I simply mean to say it’s a nature of Humans that they never be happy.
