Keeping Up with the Kardashians
Who doesn't know the Kardashians nowadays?
From Kim's scandalous sex tape to Bruce's famous sex change, the American reality show is the only name that runs off the younger generations' tongues nowadays. Who doesn't love watching five sisters, who are aspiring businesswomen rip each other off for not matching the right pair of shoes with their Versace bag? First debuting in 2007, Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK) has now become the longest-running reality television series in America. The only question is how?
The Kardashian–Jenner blended family contains Kris Jenner, the momager of the hectic household, who tries to control the back-talk and the conceited attitudes her children give to her on a day-to-day basis. The programme helps us feel good about our own problems as we find ourselves laughing at the sister's unfiltered antics; especially when Kim is found crying about losing a diamond earring in the ocean, only to later be cursed by her older sister Kourtney to know that "they're people that are dying". KUTWK is the only show out there that exploits the private

It seems like the more famous they become the more ideal the family is becoming. Who wouldn't want a team of makeup artists doing their makeup whilst agonising in labour?
Overall the show represents how through all the difficulties the individuals have faced at the end of the day their family has always got their back. Even though they make bad decisions, from time to time, it is a good idea for us to discuss and learn what we should do and vice-versa. We realised that the positive family values and influences were praiseworthy. Everybody has a guilty pleasure, whether you worship them or loathe them, we cannot doubt that they are ridiculously entertaining. All in all, it's a nonsensical show with uplifting role models and talented young
Some of the most popular television shows in today’s society are The Biggest Looser, Jersey Shore, and Big Brother. These programs and many others are classified as reality television. Reality television’s main purpose is to attempt to portray ordinary people in unscripted situations. Recently, however, many of these shows have achieved in creating the complete opposite, and have earned an immense amount of criticism as a result. Reality television programs are detrimental to society because they influence bad behavior among teenagers, do not produce authentic real life situations, and they humiliate many of the characters.
The Kardashians are known for their hit reality TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians. The show features a family that deals with what they consider as everyday problems and lead ostensibly normal lives, hence the name Reality TV. The family gained its fame originally when Robert Kardashian defended O.J. Simpson in court in 1995. O.J. Simpson was accused of murdering his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her ex-boyfriend, Ronald Goldman (Linder). Many politicians have started out their careers as lawyers, and sometimes become famous because they either defended or prosecuted important cases. Julius Caesar also gained his fame in the court system. Caesar was prosecuting two men that were followers of Sulla, who was an influential leader. This is not the only connection that can be distinguished between the Kardashians and Julius Caesar. Kim Kardashian, although she was already well known at the time, increased her fame even more by marrying Kanye West in May of 2014 (Stephens). Julius Caesar, similarly, married Cornelia, who was the daughter of a noble. This helped him to gain fame and support in the political world of Rome. Another similarity between Caesar and the Kardashians is their ability to self-advertise. Kim Kardashian has always been known for her ability to get the attention of the public through social media. Whether it be because of a scandalous photo, or an outrageous rumor that she wants to expose as untrue, she always manages to advertise something about
However, he died of cancer in 2003. (“Kim Kardashian” Bio.com) Not only did her father influence her fame, but as did her previous boyfriend. Gale Biography in context writes, “Kardashian created a media sensation after a videotape of her intimate encounter with hip-hop singer/actor Ray J was made public in 2007” (“Kim Kardashian” Gale).
family has a different mind in place. The characters are a specific role and it turns out that they are all different. I like this story because in the end the outcome is not how it was imagined to end. The story its self is really informative about the family and there differences. Everyday Use is a story that involves love, friendship, and relationship because it has more character into the movie.

What kinds of crazes, fads, diets, pop-culture phenomena, books, or movies can you think of that have promoted a version of a "quest for immortality" that would attempt to stem the advance of old age, disease, and, ultimately, death?
Producer manipulation distorts any sense of reality that is present in reality TV shows. Many reality TV stars are celebrities who often create false impressions of their lifestyles in order to appeal to their intended audience and build their brand. Shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians are a prime example of the effects that reality TV shows have on building a brand for celebrities. As a result of the show the Kardashians have been able to build their fan base and expand their products into things like apps, fashion, sponsorships, and social media. In addition, studies have shown that celebrities with dwindling statuses tend to join a season or two of reality TV in order to be able build up their declining fan base. Dancing with the Stars is an example of a show that is notorious for reintroducing into the limelight celebrities with dwindling statuses.
When did reality television stop being "real?" Most reality series are scripted, and far from being realistic. Today, reality television has character archetypes, just like a sitcom, drama, or soap opera. If you want to watch "real" television, I suggest you watch the History Channel.

The Kardashians are a mindless, self-absorbed, self-promoting brood of celebrity whores... and that's their good points.

In my opinion, most of the people likes to watch how rich people and celebrities living their lives. It is always mystery to a person that not as accomplished as they are. We envy their lives at the same time we disgust by certain behaviors. Their lives seems glamorous than our daily routines doing laundry and putting kids in bed. And there are many scandals between celebrities and rich couples. Out of curiosity, we like to watch secrets and scandals explore and judge them. It is not right or wrong to be curious, it is natural as a human being. In the end what attract audiences’ eyes are 1) the hidden engine that how fragile the friendship and relationship is in this show. 2) the hidden format points that linked this show together and create storylines for each episode, which including luxury life, ongoing parties and women. 3) the dramatic arc in this show that people always learn something from their life lessons. 4) those trigger moments that housewives created. One second it was all good and beautiful, the next second it all turned into argument and fight. However, I do like some certain values that these housewives delivered to us. For instance, they support each other when things go really bad. When Taylor’s husband found dead, they supported her in all ways. They all have strong and independent minds. They are not afraid of getting divorced
It seems that you can’t turn on a television set anymore without a reality show being on. All networks have recently started to pump out reality shows left and right. And why wouldn’t they? Reality shows are highly rated, with three of them being in the top ten on the Nielsen ratings chart. In fact, these shows are becoming more popular than the sitcoms and dramas aired. New sitcoms and dramas struggle to get attention of the public when going against a reality show. Programs such as The Beast and Go Fish, which critics loved and raved about, are victims of the wrath of reality shows. These shows are now cancelled.
Whether we like to admit it or not, there is one family on American television that never fails to seize our attention, it’s the infamous Kardashian clan in their reality television spinoff, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. From the notorious hip hop artist Kanye West, former NBA basketball player Lamar Odom, or controverisial Olympic gold metalist, the now Caitlyn Jenner, this family and everything that surrounds them, is always hitting the spotlight. In her novel, Keeping Up the Kardashian Brand: Celebrity, Materialism, and Sexuality, Amanda Scheiner McClain (2013) writes, “The Kardashians are everywhere, their empire endlessly self- replicating with spin-off after spin-off, a strange mix of trashy sex, upscale excess...tabloid melodrama and suburban family life” (McClain, 2013, p.1). During this paper I will analyze an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, from the current season, season eleven.
