I am Kathy Binarao, a senior at Brunswick High School and is a student planning to pursue her education and attend college. The college I plan to go to that offers the courses I plan to take has a tuition and boarding fee of $35,000 plus, which means I truly need a whole lot of financial assistance. I was accepted at Liberty University as early as October, and now am seeking for some helpful scholarships. I plan on majoring in Nursing (B.S.N.), which is a science field, to become a Registered Nurse one day. Basically, it’s more like a Traveling Nurse, for I will minor in Aeronautics: Flight Attendant at the same time. I dreamed of traveling the world, not only to enjoy visiting places, but also be a helping nurse serving people residing in
As a child my enthusiasm with the nursing and medical field has grown over the years into a career. I want to continue that growth into the advanced practice nursing role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Receiving this scholarship will enable me to continue to make progress toward my degree in preparation for a career that will make a difference in my community. Please know that this scholarship will make a significant impact in my ability to progress in school and I greatly appreciate your
I also plan work part time and interact with professionals through internships. While touring the university I found that they have great opportunities to get involved in the community and I plan to volunteer in those programs. For example, there are tutoring opportunities to work with young children, volunteer opportunities with St. Joseph's Diner, and there is an active branch of AmeriCorps in the local community in which there are ample opportunities to give back to the community in which I will be living. I will be staying on campus in the dorms where I will also have to include a meal plan. This scholarship will also help with those financial needs.
These Scholarships could truly help me in a great way. Both my sisters have been in college for the past two years, one being in it for four. It has caused some cut backs to be done over the past years. Along with that, my family has gone through many financial issues and setbacks. With this scholarship, it could help me to lessen my thoughts
During the past few years I have held the position of Acting Nurse Unit Manager on four separate occasions on a several units including the Adult Acute, Mental Health Intensive Care and Panorama Clinic mental health units. While acting in this position I have been responsible for the human and financial resource management. I have attended training on the State-wide Management Reporting Tool (SMRT) ensuring that I can report on the budgeting position of the units I have been responsible for and also participated in the People Management Skills course giving me insight into human resource management and the ability to manage the staff I am responsible for on the unit. Over the past few years I have attended the mental health productive wards course, Bloomfield Hospitals NUM training and the essentials of care facilitators course which combined have given me insight into people management skills required for the Nurse Unit Managers Position.
A Registered Nurse is a person who enjoys helping other people. They practically have the responsibility for many peoples lives. What’s interesting about a Registered Nurse is that they get to learn about all the parts of the human body. A Registered Nurse works in the medical field and needs to be ready with anything that comes their way. There could be a sudden death, some kind of medical issue that pops up, and even a patient just falls over and hurt themselves. As a Registered Nurse they need to be able to deal with blood, snot, vomit etc. The main thing a Registered Nurse has to be good at is being able, and wanting to help people in need.
The nurse leader that I interviewed, Leigh-Ann, is a registered nurse at Jefferson Medical Center emergency room. She is a registered nurse with her bachelors of science in nursing (BSN). She is a charge nurse and a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN). She went through a traditional four year BSN program. She has been a registered nurse for five years, two years on a medical/surgical floor and three years in the emergency department. She has been a chair on a Charting Committee and a unit based education committee. She is a member of a unit morale committee, as well as a member of a hospital wide Code Blue Committee and Policy Committee. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) and was her school’s National Student Nurses’ Association chapter’s president. Leigh-Ann actively seeks out experiences and education at work and other places besides the hospital. She also participates in CEN reviews. She is not currently published.
I am in a position where I am having difficulty finding the resources I need to finish my degree. I took about a year off from working to take care of my chronically ill father. In addition, I have recently been through a divorce and have a three year old child that I’m supporting. My income is not where it needs to be to say the least. I am also in a position where I don’t have a lot of federal aid in loans left to pay for school. A scholarship would help me to stretch the last of my aid to pay for my education. I would be putting a scholarship to great use and it would allow me to focus more on my education and be the best that I can be. I know that I will get through school one way or the other and that I will give back to Cox and the city of Springfield for taking a chance on me and helping me with my education. Springfield is my home and I plan on working as nurse at Cox for many years to come. A scholarship granted to me would help me to become a nurse and would be served back to the community through the skills that I will have gained through my education. I would be very grateful to receive a scholarship and would make sure that any scholarship granted to me was not wasted. I made the dean’s list fall 2014 and have been keeping good grades. I hope that Cox will consider be as a good candidate to receive one because I have great passion, have a passion to
I am applying for the UL Lafayette College of Nursing & Allied Health Professions Nursing Scholarship to hopefully earn a scholarship award to assist me with financing my college education. I do not have an on-campus or off-campus job at the time which benefits me by allowing more of my time to be dedicated to my studies. I am a focused and self-motivated student who strives to earn the best grades possible in my college courses. I am a determined student because I want to become an efficient and effective nurse when I graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I know that I will graduate as a professional and competent nurse who demonstrates evidence-based practice, emphasizes quality and safety measures in care settings, and provides the utmost patient-centered care.

At this point I'm considering the nursing program at Kirtland. My dad completed the nursing program from there and is happy with the education he received. The scholarship will help me to get credit for high school and college. I'd like to get as many of my basic college courses completed as early as possible and begin my nursing degree. My current goal is to have one year of college completed by the time I graduate from high school. I'm also interested in gaining a CNA prior to my nursing degree. Having my CNA will allow me to help to pay for my education and living expenses as I complete my degree at Kirtland.
“Constant attention by a good nurse may be just as important as a major operation by a surgeon.” There was a girl who had always wanted to become one of importance, education, and also a contributor in her community. She feels that this occupation will assist her in living comfortably, providing for her family, and will be something she will enjoy doing. The career of a Registered Nurse is a challenging and important career, because of the importance one holds within a community. The research will describe the career of a Registered Nurse, what is required to become a successful, and the impact this career has on society.
In this paper, I will discuss about the different levels of nursing certification, with a focus on Registered Nursing. I will include the education and requirements for becoming an RN, the working environment and career opportunities of the profession.
The largest number of healthcare workers in the country are registered nurses. Nursing provides more direct patient care than any other licensed or professional in the healthcare field. The aging population and the increase of people with chronic diseases requiring more health care is driving the need for additional nurses. People are living longer and there are more people with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and hypertension. Many states across the country are experiencing nursing shortages.
they also receive on the job training as education through trial and error while working
Quintilian once said “It is the nurse that the child first hears, and her words that he will first attempt to imitate.” I always loved helping people and I would turn on the television and look for shows related to nursing. “One Born Every Minute” was one of the few shows I watched on television that interest me and made me eager to want help with the birth of babies. This show captured the hardships and difficulty of giving birth and the experience of the procedure.
