In 1965, the Liberal party invited Trudeau and two colleagues to run for particular seats. Because of his charismatic and flamboyant personality, he became a “fan favourite”, i.e., well liked among voters and became Minister of Justice. Not long after, in 1968, Trudeau was the 15th Prime Minister of Canada.
