The O.J. Simpson trial was an emotional, time consuming, battle where one side consisted of the families of two murdered people, and the other of a famous athlete and actor alongside his defense team, that kept the world glued to their seats in front of their television screen. I believe that there was no justice in this case. Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman lost their lives and no one was put in prison to pay for these murders, yes, Simpson had to pay a large sum of money to the families of these two victims, but was the money really enough? Orenthal James Simpson, was born on July 9, 1947. He was born in San Francisco, California. His aunt was actually the one who named him after a french actor that she really liked. Simpson’s mom was named Eunice and she was a hospital administrator. His father, Jimmy Lee, was a chef and bank custodian. The other members of the Simpson family, O.J’s siblings, were his brother, Melvin Leon "Truman", and his two sisters, Shirley Simpson-Baker, and Carmelita Simpson-Durio. His face was on screens everywhere. He did commercials and movies and tv shows from 1977-2006. The role that really boosted his acting career was in the ABC mini series, “Roots” in 1977. He played an African Tribesman and later that year he starred in the CBS TV movie, “A Killing Affair”. In this role he played a detective. His roles varied greatly and his then-manager told The Los Angeles Times that Simpson enjoyed the challenge of taking on different roles. In 1988 Simpson focused a lot on comedy as he did a series of movies along side famous individuals such as Presley Presley. This football athlete was now also a Hollywood actor.
