What seemed like a mere Friday became one of the most memorable events in the Junior Academy. On 16 of October 2015, the Junior Academy Olympics was underway. Each individual Olympic team was composed of a team leader and students from all grades. Each team was filled with high moral and a strong belief that their team would be victories in each station. Once the Olympic song was finished, and the doves were released, the whole school was filled with an extravaganza of chants and cheers. The Junior Academy Olympics had begun. The school soon endeavoured with beautiful colors as they began to move to each station. Unicorn Army first headed to the tug of war, where each team would be pulling a rope with a blue handkerchief tied to the middle. …show more content…
One player must put the bean bag in the sling and pull it back while two other team members stood parallel from each other holding the sling. Each team endured a difficult time propelling the bean bag with enough velocity and the correct trajectory for it to hit the circle. Each team changed their strategy until one member of Unicorn Army’s adversary pulled back on the sling and it was propelled high into the air. Each team held their breath and hoped that the result would play out in their favor. What seemed like mere seconds, felt like hours for each team, when the bean bag headed back down into the ground the odds had not played out in Unicorn Army’s favor. The rival team let out a big cheer and began chanting their name multiple times. Unicorn Army lost much of its morale and believed that all hope was lost. The team’s prediction was correct, in the next coming mintues their rival team managed to score more points while they fallen behind and could not managed to score. After a number of wins and losses in other stations it was time for the teams that had where victors to be …show more content…

In the fall semester of my freshman year in high school I had decided to try out for my school’s drill team, the Crimson Cadettes. This organization has a reputation of very classy, well put together young women and by being on the team, one automatically has extremely high standards that they are expected to meet. Being a Cadette is a big deal because it requires an abundance of hard work and is very time consuming. My teammates and I are often spending our extra time at school whether it be for practice, pep rallies, contests or even more. There are on average about sixty dancers on the team each year and because we spend so much time together, it is expected that sometimes we’ll disagree on some things.
Team 56, also known as R.O.B.B.E. (Robotics of Bound Brook and Ethicon), is the Robotics team of Bound Brook High School that was founded in 1997. The team currently consists of seven sub-teams that are designated to work on different tasks to complete during the season. We aim to create a positive impact among members of our community and hope to collaborate with other figures of authority in order to have that effect.
I could feel the sweat dripping down my face as I came in first place. It was the best a child could ever have the school Lake Park Elementary. Children were being joyful, eating hot dogs, and competing against other teams. Parents cheering for you, the feeling is good. The grass stains on your clothes means you are doing good.
A child’s mind is absorbing information nonstop. They will mimic actions and words. Being a volunteer coach for a 1st grade soccer team has taught me the value of guiding their developing brains towards goodness and positivity. Every weekend I would lace up my cleats, go out onto the soccer fields, and greet the smiling faces of the children as they bolted around. At practice, I would show them the basic skills of soccer. They would copy my actions and immediately look to me for reinforcement, and their faces would light up when they received it. We were able to improve each other's mood instantly. After a practice, the kids would play against another team. The matches would consist of ten children, five on each team following a size four
Naturally I am a goal driven person, and for my junior year of high school, I aimed to make the varsity lacrosse team. Leading up to tryouts I trained extremely hard in the fall and winter to get my body fit. During Thanksgiving holiday I injured by lower back while training. I brushed off the shooting pain and kept on training harder, because “pain is just weakness leaving the body right?” I barely got through tryouts, but made the team. My coaches did not know I was injured until my back completely seized during practice and I could not move. I felt guilty because I failed to tell my coaches I was injured for months and did not seek help. For future references I know if there is something troubling me, to always seek for help right away because
It’s extremely difficult to maintain a cohesive team while managing each member’s different circumstances. In Art Club, I was faced with a board full of seniors, ready to undergo the grueling college application process, and juniors, bracing for their most difficult year. The potential for the disintegration of Art Club was possible at any moment due to our members’ sheer exhaustion. In an attempt to prevent the problem, I hosted training sessions for new board members. Although my efforts were effective, our secretary continued to fail to meet her deadlines, forcing fellow board members to undertake her responsibilities.
poor conditions and their practicing was not stable. There have been times when they have lost the opportunity to become the Olympic team of America. By the time with his team, Joe had more experiences of life, thought of other people and perhaps this was the first time in his life there was teammate who loved and thought of him. They were from normal freshmen boys to the team won Gold Medal of Olympic; this winning affected Joe’s life so much. The author said that: “In those final few meters, Joe and the boys had finally forged the prize they had sought all season, the prize Joe had sought nearly all his life. Each had entirely given himself up to be a part of something larger and more powerful and more important than himself” (Brown, 207). He showed to

Football, unlike any sport that I have been a part of can define someone inside the classroom and within the gridiron. Character translates between the two and is something that I was always fascinated about. Someone that can show teamwork on the field are often able to show the same level of compassion and dedication in the classroom.
As plan the Goblins started attacking the town hall. Everyone in the village got panicked because they had no idea what happened. The Goblin’s leader Francisco told the other Goblins to steal the golden football while the villagers were panicking. The Goblins took the golden football.
One step over the finish line and I burst into tears. I fell to my knees and kissed the medal that had been placed around my neck and cheered with my team. It was, without a doubt, an extremely melodramatic display of my emotions. I had accomplished something that I was not sure was possible… at age thirteen I ran the Ragnar Relay Series on July 20th,
Other teams performed, but we all sat, motionless, as if we were statues. We all anxiously waited for the announcement of which teams made it to compete in the final round of competition. Sitting there, I wondered if we would even make it to the finals, let alone winning. Absorbed in
What rating would you give the team out of 10 (10 being the highest level of success)? What factors do you think contributed to the level of success your team achieved when success is defined as the creation of a resource that has authority and is user-friendly and the degree to which you worked effectively as a team. Provide specific examples from your experience to illustrate these factors.
One by one, we unloaded the bus, bags and all. Boys, girls and coaches haul bags and coolers and blankets and I take up the rear of the pack. The day is a cold one, the wind is blowing but the sun is shining down through the clouds. The team crosses the rubber-like track and onto the infield surrounded by the track. Blankets are laid across the green grass for bags to be set down and runners to rest on between and before races. All around the field, opposing teams linger and warm up for competition. In the middle of the field, a
