This letter is in strong support of Jumana Fathima’s application to Seattle University as an Undergraduate student. Jumana was a phenomenal student in my General Chemistry class (Chem 162—General Chemistry second quarter) during the Spring quarter of 2017. Through my interactions with her inside and outside of class, I have observed that she possesses various qualities which make her a successful, passionate, and curious student. Though she was a high school student (junior in high school), she possessed the maturity and intellect of a college student. She kept up with the rigor and pace of the class such as the quizzes, labs, exams, and in-class activities and was always curious to gain more information. She also overcame all obstacles that arose by reaching out to me and finding logical solutions. Her motivation, hard-work, and dedication were all exemplary. In short, Jumana possesses fantastic traits and will be phenomenal addition to Seattle University.
Throughout the duration of the class, we discussed various complex ideas of Chemistry. Whenever Jumana was confused about the material and wanted to ensure complete understanding of the material, she never hesitated to request additional explanations to the topic inside and out of class. Jumana

Jumana had to complete many labs and post-lab material on her own, without the help of her partner. However, she overcame this challenge by meeting with me and discussing possible solutions. In the end, she was able to complete and excel in all her labs. This incident showed me that whenever Jumana is faced with obstacles, she doesn’t give up. Instead, she reaches out to other resources (such as her peers and myself) to strategically find viable solutions to success. To Jumana, there are no such things as obstacles, but rather each challenge is a path by which she gains valuable skills as a student, leader, and
Skyler, now knowing where his mother was, felt comfortable walking around, though he didn’t plan on finding a book. As he walked around, he scanned the sides facing him of the books on the shelves for interesting titles. He passed many, uninterested and unsatisfied before coming across a book titled “Chemistry for Beginners”.
Please accept this letter as a recommendation for Norah Alharbi for admission to Kent State University program.
It is my pleasure to write this letter and offer my enthusiastic recommendation of Mai Ngo in her application to the School of Pharmacy. With her exceptional intellectual ability and willingness to work very hard, as she repeatedly demonstrated to me during 2010-2012, I found Mai to be motivated, inquisitive, and incredibly sharp. In addition to her studies, she spent extra hours a week assisting me in my private practice including, appointments scheduling, procedure preparation, and clerical supports. As a medical assistant at my office Mai was an eager learner and handled a range of tasks with enthusiasm while taking the initiative to handle extra responsibilities.
Chemistry became the subject that I couldn’t wait to learn, and I often find myself getting excited over new discoveries in chemistry, such as the four new elements added to the periodic table that I texted multiple friends about. Since I want to be a teacher, I find the best way for me to combine teaching and chemistry is to help those in the school who need help learning the subject. My friend is a sophomore who currently takes level one chemistry, and for her, I serve as the person she can go to when she needs help with the subject, and I’m happy to help her whenever she needs
I was placed is Mrs. Basden’s AP Chemistry class at the Highland High School, and I observed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. I assisted Mrs. Basden with group questions and activities. The AP chemistry course is very intensive and contains a lot of required material to cover within a school year. The majority of the observation was revolved around solving practice problems that will help these students on the AP exam. Due to the rigorous schedule of teaching all the topics that will be on the AP Chemistry Exam, there are not many opportunities for large reading and writing strategies in the classroom towards the end of the school year.
I have known Daniel I. Morales since sophomore year of high school in 2010 and we first met after receiving and sharing our respective Algebra 2 test scores. He has been a friend and focused individual with an inclination for achievement. Fortunately, we both attended UC Irvine and became roommates the first year. Coupled with sharing the same academic interests in science and mathematics, Daniel entered as a Biological Sciences major and myself as a Chemistry major. We both sought to pursue this challenge with all effort and determination.
I plan to major in chemical engineering at UNR. Possessing a thirst for discovering how the world functions through the lense of science, I am interning with Dr. Casey in the Chemistry Department to experience chemistry firsthand. Alongside the heavy workload, I will balance volunteering with Dean’s Future Scholars at UNR, I’ve dedicated 200+ hours to the group and look forward to helping out the lives of low-income, first generation kids like myself. I’ll advance from college into the real world examining life at the atomic level while giving back to the
Paragraph two. Overview the factors leading to my initial interest in chemistry. Clarify that I initially wanted to be a physicist. Mention the professor who presented the material in a fascinating way; changing everything. Furthermore, list the interesting captivating phenomenon that ultimately lead to my appreciation of chemistry.
I would like to recommend to the South Dakota State University an outstanding young lady, Elizabeth Heidenreich. I have had the privilege of having Elizabeth in the science classroom for the past four years. She has consistently demonstrated responsibility, high academic achievement and a strong willingness to succeed.
Her enthusiasm about attending the University of Michigan-Dearborn was not something to be overlooked. Being a mother, you want your children to grow up having them value education, reflect a moral and responsible outlook of what their future can hold for them if they work hard enough for it, and never give up trying. Education and maintaining excellent grades is one thing Taleen has worked very hard towards over the years I have known her. In addition, I can gladly produce a list of other parents and volunteer coordinators who can also support this Letter of Recommendation for the responsible and committed person Taleen is. There are many of us who have seen first hand the dedication and confidence she shows on a daily
While sitting within Kempner High School’s auditorium my sophomore year and watching AP Chemistry students conduct fascinating experiments on stage, I began breaking down each individual’s experiment to its fundamental concepts. Pulling out different concepts from these specific examples, I began watching as each of those concepts interacted with one another. I specifically remember seeing a student prepare a batch of sodium polyacrylate and mixing the compound with water to ultimately completed the students’ goal. But what goal did this AP student accomplish? For the goal of this student may have been simply to create a synthetic snow, but the effects of their actions on myself started shaping my passion for Chemistry. Although the student

My name is Crisol Escoto. My prior experience with chemistry was in my senior year of high school. That was over three years, so I hope that I remember the basis of it. I distinctly remember that the subject was a bit challenging, but it was incredibly fascinating. I hope that through this course I can successfully grasp the concepts that I struggled with previously.
This week was an experimental week for chem177. I am in track 2, and our first lab is the Alien Periodic table lab in conjunction with the Lewis Dot Lab. On Monday, I completed the academic integrity and the policy statements. With the syllabus, that was the first introduction to the expectations professor Stone has for his students regarding the lab. It was important for us to know the policies, so we had an idea on how to act in the lab sessions. In addition, he made his stance on academic integrity very clear. On Wednesday during lecture, we learned about the resources available to us, such as Scifinder and Zotero. These will be very important for us to use when assignments like the chemical element require in depth information. The biggest
Moreover, the kind of atmosphere and harmony among the students supported by an extensive network of notable alumni has prompted me to apply for a master’s program at the university. I believe with my commitment and passion, I would be able to embrace the demands of the program. With this statement, I earnestly seek the opportunity to learn and contribute sincerely to the prominent Aggie
