In middle school there are three main points, academics, personal responsibility, and the social part of it.
The most arduous part of Jr High is the academics. The reason why it is so onerous is because they are trying to prepare us for high school. It is always important to turn your work in on time so you get full credit and don’t get a detention. Also make sure you get out what you put in. You are not here to go through school and then get out and forget all that you have learned and received from the teachers and your classmates. The most valuable tool that will help you get grades on anything you do is studying. Academics is ponderous but will help you in your job and even college or high school.

One thing that I have struggled with is organization. Time management is simple as ABC but at some points can be burdensome. If you are stuck on a problem and you think it is tough just ask for help because that is what the teachers are there for. Think about what you are going to do or already did don’t be troublesome because it goes onto your record. This one is just common sense don’t fight verbally or physically with your friends or your teachers. Be responsible for your work and your

Royalton High School follows a 7 period day schedule, 50 minutes class periods, typically 5 days a week beginning at 8:15am and ending at 3:22pm. A regularly scheduled day consists of seven four minute passing periods and a 15 minute homeroom at the end of the day. Homeroom is not considered as a scheduled class, and even though it is not required, it is still beneficial to many students. The sole purpose of homeroom is to inform students of extracurricular activities, scholarships and college visits, the announcements, and reduce class absences.

I was very excited to start my junior year of college. I had a great year my second and third year and now was excited to see my friends, play soccer and work hard to improve my grades like always. America should eliminate the common core throughout the country because common core doesn’t give control to teachers and the parents, doesn’t guarantee improvement, and misses the point of education. The reasoning behind the common core is that “15-year-olds rank 31st in math literacy and 23rd in science literacy.” In 2009 the common core was adopted by most of the United States, but doesn’t mean it was the best idea. The person that came up with common core never even worked in an elementary school. The essay goes to talk about how the power is in the hands of the people that made up the common core. Not the teachers or the student's parents that know the kids best. Then talks about the people that made up common core get to pick and choose
