Joshua smiled and looked at Jordan then he answered,“No, you are not too young because the true Army of the Lord is doing his will and obeying his commandments.”
The young boy replied,“Sir, what do you mean?” Joshua answered,“You heard the instructions that I commanded the people to do. You must obey it just as everyone else and you will be a part of God's never ending victorious army.”
Joshua said goodbye and went away. Jordan went to his sister who was a year older than he was and told her all that the warrior Joshua told him. And, Anna told their mother. Their mother said that warrior Joshua was correct.
The day of the battle arrived and all the people did what Joshua commanded them to do. The priests walked with the ark of God's
Now the Israelites went out to fight against the Philistines. The Israelites camped at Ebenezer, and the Philistines at Aphek. The Philistines deployed their forces to meet Israel, and as the battle spread, Israel was defeated by the Philistines, who killed about four thousand of them on the battlefield. When the soldiers returned to camp, the elders of Israel asked, “Why did Hashem let us get defeat ? Let us bring the ark of Hasham covenant from Shiloh, so that he may go with us and save us of our enemies.”
Chapter three of Engaging the Christian Scriptures goes into detail over selective parts of the sections of history, writings, and prophets. Chapter three gives the reader information over several books in the Bible such as Joshua, Judges, Jeremiah, etc. The chapter dives into the text of Joshua and gives the reader useful insight over Joshua and him leading the Israel across the Jordan river to conquer the land of milk and honey, Jericho. The purpose of Jeremiah was to warn of the destruction that they were about to face and to urge Judah to return and submit to God. Towards the end

His first act as leader was to send spies to Jericho to look at their defenses. Once in Jericho, the spies were hidden from the King’s men by Rahab atop her roof. Once they returned to Joshua, they told him that conquering the city was possible. Joshua and the people of Israel would cross the Jordan River and march for Jericho. Once at the Jordan River, the priests were directed to carry the Ark to the brink of the water. As soon as their feet touched the waters, they parted and the Israelites walked across on dry land. After crossing the Jordan, they erected an altar at Gilgal of twelve stones (one for each tribe) from the bed of the river. Once at Jericho, the Israelites were instructed to march around the city for seven days. On day seven, they marched seven times around the city and then gave a mighty shout. The city wall fell down in their places. Only Rahab and her household were spared. A command was sent out that the whole spoil of Jericho was to go the
Subsequently, in the books of Joshua and Judges the authors capture the tribulations of the Israelites in their attempts to conquer the Promised Land (Tullock & McEntire, 2012, p. 96). Additionally, in the first twelve chapters of the book of Joshua exhibit a decisive conquest through the entirety of the land of Canaan, which provides the initial impression of a seamless transition between the work of Moses and the leadership of Joshua (Tullock & McEntire,
Hey! I'm not here to cause any drama or problems. There isn't any need in that. However I saw that you have expressed you are not very fond of me to Jordan, and I respect that. I'm glad that you could express it even if your manner was quite bitchy. I respect your opinion, however the fact you are bitter enough to hold grudges from are past is pitiful. I understand you may have been jealous not of me directly, but Jordan dating someone that wasn't you. I completely understand that, and I'm sorry for your sake your feelings for him weren't reciprocated. With that said, whatever issues you have with me are open for discussion just let me know! I will not change to please you, as Jordan and others who matter to me are pleased with who I am. I

Joshua 4: In context, Moses has recently died and passed on the leadership to Joshua. As written, Moses fails to accurately follow Yahweh’s direction and is told that he would not enter the Promised Land. With that, we find ourselves in chapter four of Joshua. The narrative depicts Joshua and the nation of Israel migrating into the Promised Land. They find themselves at the river Jordan where God orders Joshua to get a representative from each tribe of the nation to grab a stone from the river to create a memorial for the future.

The smell of the pine permeates the air I breath as I climb up the mountain trail with the excitement of a child exploring new and exciting adventures. The buzzing of mosquitoes intensifies near a slow moving stream I reach down with my hand to pick some of the western yarrow growing near the trail. I have been told that it acts as a natural repellant. I chew on some of plant, flooding my mouth with an almost pleasant, bitter-sweet flavor. This hike up Red Ridge Mountain feels completely removed from the world in which I grew up. We are miles from the nearest car or road, over 8500 feet above sea level, and I am hearing sounds of nature that I have never yet experienced. Before reaching the summit we set up camp. We brought almost nothing, not even tents, and we are learning to build a lean-to shelter for the night. The adults check the construction of our lean-to's before we start a campfire. Our camp was set up and we sat down for smores and dinner. Finally I climb into my sleeping bag, feeling proud for the shelter I created with limbs, leaves, and only a small amount of twine from my pack. I was ready for a great night’s rest, listening the orchestra of natural sounds, and the more still I got the more new instruments I was able to hear in this great symphony; the chittering of bugs and the rustling of nocturnal animals was the music that finally lures me into slumber. I am suddenly jarred out of sleep as the earth starts to shake. The leaves rustle, and my entire
