The play Jinch Malrex represents similarities to the play The Farm Show and Mile’s theatre group from The Drawer Boy. In each on the plays it is based on real people and situations. In The Drawer Boy the actors are part of a collective creation and come up with their own ideas and characters, and conduct research in order to get a better understanding of the topic. In all of the following plays Jinch Malrex, The Farm Show and The Drawer Boy there is a purpose and meaning behind the play. Overall their many similarities between Jinch Malrex, The Farm Show and Mile’s theatre group from The Drawer Boy shown throughout each play.
In the both Jinch Malrex and The Farm Show the plays are based on real life, people and situations. In The Farm Show the everyday life as a farmer is being represented, the information is being provided by Mile’s show The Drawer Boy where Mile’s visited a farm ran by Morgan and Angus and learns what it is like in real life to live of a farm. In Jinch Malrex the play represents the real life as trouble youth, in the play the authors create character’s somewhat based on their lives for example Casandra London created a character whose mother’s wasn’t around based on her life of not having her father around. In Jinch Malrex the youth actors researched and created a play about different at risk teens. They each research different youth and draw on personal experiences and came together to write a play. In the play The Farm Show the actors in Miles’s theatre group all research what it was like being a farmer in Canada. In The Drawer Boy you got to see Mile’s experience researching what it was like being a farmer. Overall each play was written after researching and learning about the characters being
