Jefferson High School has two major strengths. The first strength is that parents are supportive of the schools. It helps schools tremendously when parents offer support and can work with schools to better serve each student. Another strength is that the school is surrounded by thriving local businesses. These businesses are family owned and operated so the majority probably have families and in interest in the success of the district.
Therefore, my first strategy would be to create a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) that would incorporate local businesses. The goal would be to create a symbiotic relationship between the school and the businesses. For example, the PTO could host events such as job fairs, theater productions, and curriculum

This is problematic because many would be hesitant to take a leadership role and would have little knowledge of how to incorporate the community into the classroom setting.
To help with this concern, I would make room in the school’s budget for professional development. The goal would be for teachers to learn and grow so that they feel confident in leadership roles and have the skills needed to educate students. I would incorporate different forms of professional development such as peer observations, workshops, and a peer mentoring program. The hope would be that the new teachers would begin to collaborate and learn from other teachers.
The Parent Teacher Organization and professional development would help improve the relationship between the school and community. The PTO would bring the community into the school promoting a positive image and would help community members know the inner-workings of the schools. The use of a reward system would bring students and families to businesses they might not frequent garnering more revenue for the business. Furthermore, professional development would help create a mindset that every teacher is responsible for each student’s success and growth. This would help students perform better which brings more families into a district. More families means more revenue and a healthier

USAA Savings Bank has been around for a long time believe it or not. In 1922 USAA was originally founded in San Antonio, Texas when 25 Army officers decided to come together and insure each other’s automobiles. William Garrison was USAA’s first elected president. Shortly after that USAA’s first employee was Harold Dunton, who was hired as a general manager. Major Walter Moore purchased the first automobile insurance policy for $114.74 and became USAA’s first member. Two years later in 1924 USAA printed their first credo. The company motto was “Service to the Services.” 1928 was the year that USAA started advertising 8,000 active component service members

Assessing Culture Higher education institutions must continually change to adapt to environmental trends, and the SWOT analysis can help administrators to plan and act quickly to stop potential problems (Pucciarelli & Kaplan, 2016). The SWOT analysis is based on strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats of the internal and external environment (Addams & Allred, 2013). By conducting a SWOT analysis, the institution can design strategies and policies for the institution (Verboncu & Condurache, 2016). SWOT analysis provides information that is effective and efficient at the time for the institution and identifies areas for improvement (Verboncu & Condurache, 2016). This paper discusses the SWOT analysis for Florida State University, identifies
In a school called Noble Street College Prep they have decided to go with a policy that punishes students for bad behavior. I would prefer this way of discipline. I would like to argue that this is a better policy to use. While the reward policy my work, I believe that KMS should use the punishment policy because it helps with the students academics, helps students concentrate in class, and lastly it teaches kids to have manners.
I am currently working in the elementary school level, but the biggest change that my school and district could make, are with the Professional Development, especially in the areas of children living in poverty or working with ELL
To increase my skill set in facilitating a group, being able to exhibit genuineness, empathy, and positive regard to all in the group. Display acceptance of all cultures with admiration and self-respect (removing all stigmas and bias).
Increase funding for classrooms and staff. Extra financial support within low-income communities will assist in providing students with much needed materials. Redistribute public dollars to help teachers
1). Consequently, teachers need training and support through professional learning communities (PLC) as they “…have proven to be a cornerstone of effective teaching and, in underperforming schools, a catalyst for improvement” (Farbman, Goldberg, & Miller, 2014, p. 10). As a result, my plan proposes following Claudet’s model of a change agent (2011) by inspiring stakeholders to become collaborative partners in remedying academic gaps. It begins with the faculty analyzing student data scores to prioritize topics, designing a timeframe to meet goals, and identifying the stakeholders involved in the decision-making process. Once this is determined, several teachers would attend summer or fall training sessions to develop strategies to address the learning needs of low-achieving students because “…collective leadership has positive effects on student achievement” (Barth, 2001, p. 12). The trained teachers would provide monthly PLC activities to cultivate developmental and cultural instructional strategies, analyze student progress, share successes, and problem-solve concerns. Measurement of the effectiveness of the training occurs through staff participation, observations, and classroom formative and summative assessments, as recorded through the software programs provided to the teachers at the beginning of the
My role in contributing to an outstanding educational program would be one of support. As the principal I would be supportive of teachers by encouraging innovation and planing activities that would enhance learning that extends beyond the classroom. As principal, I would also foster leadership and collaboration among staff. I would be supportive of students and families. It is important for families to know that school staff is there for their children and have their best interests at heart. I would be supportive of our PTSO and work to further develop community support and involvement. Furthermore, as principal I would support the development of the whole child. From academics to social/emotional development from athletics to the arts, middle
In Kansas, Manhattan they offer all sorts of sports. They offer school sports such as wrestling, basketball, swim and dive, football, volleyball, and bowling. When the students play these sports for their school, the name they go by are the Indians.
Laurel Palm Middle School was considered to be a successful school. It was one of the top ten performing schools. For three successive years, it had been awarded a National Distinguished School Award. The school had had a strong culture of teaching and learning. Parents were engaged in planning school programs and improving all aspects of the school and its operations.
The school houses 107 teachers, 1590 students within a magnet program and a quest program (gifted). I feel that we have many internal leaders that play a key role in the successfulness of our school. The external leaders would include parents, and different business within the community.
work, they would want to all be paid the same, the list could go on.
According to What is SWOT Anlysis (2011), SWOT analysis is an analysis used to identify the internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) of the company as well as external factors (opportunities and threats) of the company.
