The short story All Summer In A Day, by Ray Bradbury demonstrates how jealousy can lead people to doing awful things. Many of Margot's classmates show hatred because she claims that she has witnessed the sun multiple times. They would sometimes even show physical pain upon her. Another lesson from the story is that people don't need to see something to believe it. Many Children did not believe what margot thought about the sun. Lots of them did not believe in the arrival of the sun and did not think that it was coming. THis then led to more pain being afflicted towards margot. All Summer In A Day, by Ray Bradbury demonstrates how jealousy can lead people to do awful things.

Many of Margot's Classmates showed their negative feelings toward her and her thoughts. One of her classmates, William, said “Speak when you are spoken to.” As he gave her a shove. This demonstrates how her classmates were so poorly treating her. The children were jealous of margot and what she said that she knows about the sun. when then led them to madness, in which they locked Margot in a closet. This again shows that her classmates denied her feelings and did not accept them, leading to them doing all of the harsh actions. On the third page Margot says, “It's like a fire,” she said, “In the stove.” “You're lying, you don't remember!” cried the children. This shows that since the children do not remember seeing the sun, they don't believe Margot knows what it looks like. On the third page, William says, “It was all a joke, wasn't it?” He turned to the other children. “Nothing's happening today: is it?” This writing explains how William had not seen the sun, so he did not believe that it would become visible that day.
