For my project I chose Ronald Reagan, his full name Ronald Wilson Reagan. The 40th president of the United States. A man who started as a young radio announcer and actor, moved on to be what some consider one of the greatest presidents of all time. He was always interested in politics, but his life before presidency would claim he was not the right fit for a president. He was an honest man, with a bright future ahead of him. Although he never expected to be president, he was well fit for the job. He went through some struggles before presidency. Including marriage, jobs, and some other things. He also went through some hard times during his presidency. When he ran against Gerald Ford in 1976,

His first major role was joining in the U.S Army and demonstrated that he was able to rise rapidly, personal qualities of openness and friendliness and also a determination of never throwing the towel. Houston also had the quality of being a noble person, willing to protect the people that practically raised him, the Cherokees. After leaving them, he was appointed agent in managing the removal of the tribe, but always seeking to protect them from any injustice.
When I move into my dorm for my first year of college, there is no question of which quote I would put onto my wall. Jimmy Dean, one of my favorite old school country singers, once said "I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination." This quote has really stuck with me. It reminds me that life will not always go my way and it is imperative that I learn to do deal with whatever the world may throw at me.
Ronald Reagan was a good president and an even better man. However, as charismatic and amiable as he was, he was not incapable of making mistakes and was certainly not flawless.
