Programs like the University of Cincinnati's Dual Connections program provide their students with a direct admission into their medical school while at the same time not rushing anything. By choosing a path like this a student will be able to obtain career security and also will be able to experience college life at its fullest. Since these non-accelerated programs provide a medical admission right after high school, the students accepted into the programs will be spared from the expensive, time-consuming, and most importantly, stressful medical school application process. Also, during the full four years of an undergraduate program, a student will be able to gain additional knowledge by taking classes that are outside the curriculum of a medical

In the next five years, I would like to have become more independent than I already am as an 18 year old girl. The independence would come with me owning my own home, paying for my own groceries, and other necessities that I have. However, the next four years will consist of me finishing up my bachelor’s degree at Troy University and be engaged to a man in the Armed Forces. My unknown husband will possess the same values and morals that I live by everyday. During the fifth year, an acceptance letter to Florida State University’s medical program is where I would like to attend to become a doctor. After, medical school I will complete my 2 year residency to become one of few of an African- American woman anesthesiologist. Once settled in my occupation,

Louise Mensch said, “Money gives you the power to do whatever you want to do. I like the idea of being in complete control of my life.” very much similar to the morals taught by the two pilgrims in The Canterbury Tales. A tale about greed, the Pardoner’s story explains that money is the root of all evil. While the Wife of Bath’s is about women having their power.
In order to begin my journey towards my post-secondary education, I must first finish the goal at hand which is to graduate high school. Currently, I am on course to reach my goal of graduation with a perfect unweighted 4.0 GPA. In addition, I am enrolled in my high school nursing assistant program which I will earn a certification for in June. Upon completion, I will be attending Lenoir-Rhyne University to take part in their Physician Assistant program in order to obtain my goal of becoming a Physician Assistant. I have always dreamed of having a career that will require a life-long pursuit of knowledge; medicine is constantly evolving and diseases are constantly changing, making it the perfect type of career. Due to my passion for medicine
Going to school was not always at the top of Natalie’s favorite things to do list. The Texas A&M University Honors Program is much more than an ephemeral stepping stone towards medical school for me. While I am cognizant of the fact that I would be well prepared to achieve my goals even with a non-honors diploma, I recognize that the Honors Program would be an imperative step in my academic development and success. All throughout my life I have challenged myself to work towards excellence. Whether that be in sports, school, or my relationships with those around me, I have never chosen to settle because I realized I can accomplish so much more. The Honors Program will provide me with the tools necessary to thrive in a valuable environment of perpetual competition in which I will utilize the opportunities given to me in the
As the coming years approach, I want my future to hold both the passion to explore new opportunities and the strength to overcome new challenges. With the experiences of my high school career, I aspire to take all the things I learned to transition into a college environment where my ideas can be challenged and shared. Where I can learn from others; where I can seek the opportunity to make a direct impact towards saving lives. I believe I can do great things. Through tenacity I will not only be gratified in becoming a doctor, but also be able to share my compassion for others through
During my four years at Brooklyn Technical High School, I was part of the Gateway to Medicine program. I was introduced to courses such as anatomy & physiology, organic chemistry, and biology. These extremely challenging classes piqued my interest to explore a future career in health care. The Gateway to Medicine program was multi-faceted, I went from dissecting cats to learning about spontaneous de-combustion. My guidance counselor also helped prepare me to choose a career in the medical profession.
My love for a medical career goes hand in hand with my ability to cope with stress and work under a lot of pressure efficiently. I am also driven and self motivated, with good time management skills. I believe it is necessary to be organized and focused in this field especially with things get hectic. I know the college is a huge commitment and very challenging, but I know I will make an impact in the medical world with my hard work, positive attitude and
“Always have an open mind…Keep it open and keep it wide.” These are the words that resonated with me, as my college professor ended our final class for the semester. It was a few months before I would be starting my clinical rotations, and I was excited to enter the mysterious world of clinical medicine. Although a vague concept, what I understood was that we should always have a respect for the unknown. This respect for the unknown was what drove me to the field of Anesthesiology.
For my career I choose an Anatomy and Physiology Instructor. My first college choice I am choosing Liberty University. It is located in Lynchburg, Virginia; with its low 22% acceptance rate, tuition is high. The approximate tuition is $21,300 for on campus and for online it's $375 an hour. The degree I hope to achieve would be a Bachelor in Science. I will be spending four years to obtain this. The school is not very diverse. With the majority being Caucasians and the runner up being African American. Besides those two there is a little bit of everything but in small quantities. I have found a very vigorous website. The link is “liberty.edu”.
