My Chinese Literature teacher told me, “Everyone is special as they born in this world, but people may have similar personalities and thoughts when they are in a similar situation.” This kind of saying is just like the environments affect the similarities of human being. The novel, Lord of the Flies, author uses the innocent children to develop the theme of the evil and savage inside the human, and in the painting from Goya Francisco, Saturn Devouring His Son, expressed the inhumanity of the people obtain the power by hurting kinsfolk. Nevertheless, the main characters in the novel like Jack and Ralph have a variety of similarities with Saturn and his son, Jupiter in the painting. Furthermore, the author and painter also have something in common.
In the book, Jack was described as a boy who likes hunting. He represents the characteristic of evil, it is correspond to the character, Saturn, who is eating his son in the painting. In the Lord of the Flies, Jack is brutal, evil and

For Ralph, he was fighting single-handedly after Jack made its own team. Ralph is a positive character in Lord of the Flies, at first, he was the leader of all the boys that went through the plane crash. Everyone listened to him but until Jack got his first boar arrogantly, each boy were appealed by the deliciousness of the meat. More boys joined in Jack’s hunting team. Afterwards, Ralph’s only 2 closest friends, Piggy and Simon died. Remembering the scene of the big fire that made by Jack, Ralph did not ever give up the chance of survival and surrender. He was brave when he worked alone. Fortunately, Ralph got saved. “A naval officer stood on the sand, looking down at Ralph in wary astonishment.” (Golding 253)The officer was astonished by the appearance of Ralph that must be very dirty. Ralph was saved by the adults which means he will back to a disciplined and peaceful
Humans have a monster inside of them that is subdued by society, and if society is taken away, then that “monster” will consume them. This is true for most people, but not all humans are like that. One of the most notable humans to over come the “monster” is Simon, a character from the book “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding. The story is set on an island in the Pacific Ocean. A plane full of British schoolboys crash lands on an island and they’re stranded there with no adults, no society, and no rules. Simon is one of the few characters that stay sensible and good throughout the story. He has a sixth sense about things happening around him, he is kindhearted, and he faints a lot which give the appearance of him being weak.
Lord of the Flies is a book that takes place during World War II, and is about a group of English school boys who crashed in a plane on an island without any adult survivors. Throughout the story, the boys struggle to keep a mindset based on rescue and survival, and instead think more about hunting and having fun, while avoiding any responsibility. During this, the boys also struggle with fear of a "beastie" - what is the beast? To the author, the beast began as war, then it became the externalized form of the boys' fear, and ended as savagery.
What do you picture in your mind when someone mentions a beast? Fangs? Claws? That is what the castaways believe the beast to look like on the island in William Golding’s Lord of the Flies. The story follows several school boys who have crashed onto an exotic island. They elect a leader, Ralph, and they break up into groups: the hunters, the “littluns”, and the hut builders. Soon the “littluns" become frightened of a beast that no one has seen, and it becomes an obsession of the islanders. They interpret the beast in many ways, saying it comes from the water, the sky, and one of the boys even suggested that the beast was themselves. So, what is the beast? The beast could be a representation of war, fear, or human savagery.
The boys chant, “Kill the beast, cut his throat spill his blood!” in chapter 9, while they horrifically murder Simon because they believe him to the beast. Golding never properly explains what exactly the beast is, though his heavy use of symbolism can give many clues. Whatever the beast is, it’s horrible enough to drive the boys to murder. Throughout Lord of the Flies, the beast takes many forms: it begins as fear, then morphs into war, which then combine to demonstrate the savagery of human nature.
Many of the boys want to have fun and see Jack's hunting as the fun
Lord of The Flies In Goldberg's novel, Lord of the Flies, Jack has been a character that has remained evil, dangerous and power hungry. The author demonstrates this by Jack's emotions, behavior, and physical characterization. In the beginning of the book, Jack's emotions shows how he thinks he deserves respect right away. In Lord of the Flies, it says, “‘Kids’ names,’ said Merridew.

The goal of this essay is to figure out why Jack is so driven to be a leader and why he goes to great lengths to reach that goal.
For most people living on an abandoned island isn't something you would want or like to do. Think about if you were a 4-14 year old you would most likely change in different ways. In the book Lord of the Flies, Sam and Eric get influenced into changing. From the beginning of the book they are loyal to Ralph, but at the end they they get manipulated by Jack, being on the island is starting to make them lose their childhood and act as if they are older, they also get treated as if they are one person, when they are treated like biguns they still sometimes act how boys their age are supposed to but other times they have more responsibilities . In this book Samneric get treated differently by the biguns, this influenced them to evolve into different people.
Over the summer we all read the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding and had to put of with the one called Jack. In nearly every book there is a so called villain or bad guy to make the story more interesting and eventful, and Jack is just that character. There are many words to describe jack but my word is superior. over all. Throughout the story you start to understand Jacks’s horrid personality and actions which leaves me to believe the best word to describe jack is ¨wicked¨.
Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, has four very important dynamic characters. A dynamic character is a character that develops and grows during the course of the story. Ralph, Jack, Piggy, and Simon are four dynamic characters in Lord of the Flies that adapt to their new lifestyles in different ways. Jack is a very important dynamic character in Lord of the Flies because he goes through the most changes during the novel. While on the island, Jack has many life experiences that change him forever. Jack never thought he would live his life the way he is living his life in the island. Jack’s authoritative figure, savage-like/instinctual behavior, and violence are three qualities that make Jack a dynamic character.
Finally, I am finished with middle school. Anxiously thinking about the first day of high school, I knew that it would be hectic and wild, but I was ecstatic. Of course, the night before I could not sleep. I lay awake dreaming about how my first day at John Paul II will go. How will it be meeting new people and seeing old friends from last year? Will high school be hard? Will I get lost? I kept thinking about the unknown and worst possible outcomes. My first day of high school was unexpected.
“Isolation is a dream killer” (Barbara Sher). In the novel Lord of the Flies written by William Golding, kids stranded on an island must figure out how to survive. By hunting pigs and building shelters the kids tried to subsist on the island. Through the process of hunting, the kids became cruel, evolving to the point of being barbaric.
