I always thought Santa had to always be played by a boy, but then Erica Goepel played Santa at the Macy’s department store in New York and showed me wrong. During the Christmas shopping season, some people got angry and threatened they would never go back to shop at Macy again because they had women playing Santa! Some women need jobs so badly that they'd play Santa, even though people don't think it's right for a girl to play Santa. My opinion about all of this is that women, could play Santa but they had to be very good at acting like him. No big deal I thought then all of a sudden, she became an instant celebrity. She was a 34 year old women playing the role of St. Nick, and the craziest part is, she been doing this for over four years.
Fourteen days, four hours, and exactly forty-one minutes till Santa will be traveling around the world making everyone’s next morning full of joy. As I am aware, this is an exciting time year for elves. Many create the toys that will be unwrapped while others have the great pleasure of baking cookies, taking care of Santa’s reindeer, and of course the hardest job of all, working to read different letters from various of children around the world. Figuring that you are currently reading my letter, I know that you probably have piles of letter embroidered with name of the place all kids think about: to the north pole. Inside most of these letters, I know from writing a few myself, that many kids are asking the either one of two questions: “I’m I on the naughty list” or in other letters there are variations of “May I pretty please with a cherry on top get ____ for christmas”. However, today I am not writing about these main topics, I am writing you this to you in hopes that I can be enlightened of the magic of passion and creativity that you are so lucky to be surrounded by everyday. Moreover, you may be pondering this and wonder why I would be asking for a request such as this. I have just finished a semester of a passions within a creativity class and was hoping to share with you what I learned and hope to hear what your perspective may be. So, my current intention throughout the rest of this letter to show you something new
David Sedaris explains the different holiday practices Americans and the Dutch have. He talks about how Americans and Dutch people celebrate Christmas, also how they view the tale of Santa Claus. As Sedaris says, the American figure, Santa Claus, is “jolly and obese,” yet the Dutch figure, Saint Nicholas, is portrayed as “painfully thin, and not unlike the pope.” The differences between the Dutch and American Christmas figures and traditions provide evidence of the differences between their national character. Americans, with their fat, jolly Santa and tradition of opening presents on Christmas day are more materialistic and consumerist than the Dutch, whose skinny St. Nicholas and less gift-centered Christmas traditions are evidence of their
This year's shopping season, at Macy’s department store in NYC, five women were desperate for jobs and got hired to be santa. Macy’s was desperate for actors, so they applied for the job, and they got it. The result: Absolutely infuriated shoppers. Their children were devastated when they saw women as Santa. It made them realise Santa wasn’t real. I think that women shouldn’t be santa.
Is Santa real? This is the one question that everyone asks at some point in their life. I have been asking this for a long time. But I kept telling myself that he was real because I wanted him to be real. The magical tale of Santa going to every house in one night and leaving you presents was one of the most magical things and to know that was real was something magical.
The second reason why Santa should be a man is tradition, Santa has been shown as a male figure like I said for hundreds

Macy’s Department store in New York is facing a problem during this year’s holiday season. They have a seasonal shortage of temporary workers, in particular, a need for actors to play the role as Santa in his workshop in the north pole. Due to the Santa Claus shortage, Macy’s is hiring women. This is causing numerous parents to complain that their kids are getting upset when they see a female Santa at the store. Some of those parents are threatening that they would never shop at Macy’s again. Even though I feel women would do a great job playing Santa, there are a few reasons why I think Macy’s should only have male Santa’s.
: Perhaps one day, my dear. Perhaps one day. A toast. To Mr. Scrooge. The

Two subjects that most people will never expect to find in the same sentence are Santa Claus and nuclear fallout. While it is true that finding a similarity between both of these subjects would seem like the pursuit of a deranged conspiracy theorist, one thing they can share is the method in which their debunking is presented on YouTube. The videos in question are Five Stupid things About Santa Claus, by Steve Shives, and Millions Die from Fukhishima Fallout!, by Thunderf00t. In both cases the narrator takes his outlandish category and uses confidence and other subtle psychological devices to subconsciously convince his audience of the validity of his point of view. In doing this, both show a mastery of communication by using the same method
Santa Claus was well-known as a kind man who had a long white bread, wore big red-white clothes and carried children’s gifts with his flying reindeers as a vehicle. Christians all around the world have had Santa traditions since the 1820’s, which is lying children to believe in Santa, hang a sock on the window, behave nicely and go to bed early so that Santa can come and give them presents (Sleepypanda 2013). Until December 2016, psychologists claimed that Santa myth could destroy children’s trust to parents. "All children will eventually find out they've been consistently lied to for years, and this might make them wonder what other lies they've been told," (Boyle & McKay 2016)
When was the last time you see a thanksgiving decoration before Christmas decorations? Christmas decorations show up before Halloween and Thanksgiving are over.
In 2005, ten-year-old Belle Adams had her dreams crushed after learning the truth about Santa Claus. Her mother, Nicki Adams, admitted to lying about Santa Claus being real. Belle never felt so betrayed. She reacts by writing an offensive note and sliding the note under her mother’s door. The note read, “You have no idea what you just did. I really tried to believe. Everyone told me it’s your parents. I can’t believe you anymore. Is the Easter bunny real, how about the tooth fairy, huh? You just ruined a 10-year-old child’s Life! Thanks! Nothing will make me feel better because you lied to me about something I Loved that Broke my Heart!” As we all know, Santa Claus is the one of the most famous mythologies of all time. Every Christmas Eve,
