I was pleased to discover the position of Development Intern among the Internship Opportunities at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. I am a current senior studying the History of Art and Architecture at Boston University, and I am interested in a administrative position with your organization. I believe I have both the administrative and computer proficiency skills you are seeking. I have worked in administrative roles throughout my college career. For instance, for the past three years I have worked as a library assistant at my school, which has allowed me to interact with patrons, while sharpening my clerical and filing skills. I have also worked as an administrative assistant at an insurance company, which allowed me to acquire many

The West Georgia Museum of Tallapoosa is a blast from the past for most of the older generation while the younger generations get to see how their grandparents or great grandparents got to live long before they were born. The overall theme of the museum is honoring and memorializing the old city of Tallapoosa. When exploring the little museum, there are displays of old stores and work offices such as a dentist office or a doctor’s office display from the 1800’s. These displays are interesting to look at because most of the stuff on display in each of these rooms are actual items from that time or very close to that era. When viewing these rooms, there is a button viewers can press which activates a narrator to tell them what they are viewing
In the early morning hours of March 18, 1990, a pair of thieves disguised as Boston police officers entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and roamed the Museum’s galleries, stealing thirteen works of art. The stolen works are valued at $500 million, which made the lottery the largest art theft in American history. There were 14 pieces of art that was stolen on the March 18, 1990. There is a reward of $5 million for information leading to the recovery of these works in good condition. No one has found out, it has been 25 years of theories as to what happened.
I visited the Janice Mason Art Museum located in downtown Cadiz, KY. The gallery they had on display was “Colorstorm” If not now… when? by the artist Stacey Torres. The gallery featured upward towards 50 original paintings. Some of the artworks in this exhibit include: The Reddest Thread, Cathy, Queen Anne, Poetry Man 1, Poetry Man 2, and Journey. Stacey Torres is an African-American folk artist, writer, and dancer. She was born in Jamaica, New York and currently lives in New Castile, Indiana. The primary focus of her work is women in natural settings. Her paintings include brilliant colors using different media and include watercolor, oil pastels, and acrylics. (2) The piece I chose to review was titled Journey. This was a large (24 x 36) acrylic painting.

2 days have passed and still no answer. Over 10 paintings were stolen two days ago from the great Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The F.B.I has tried everything in their power to find out what happened, but haven't found anything. Those masterpieces are worth tons of money and have and have a history of being made 25 years ago. Finding the paintings were becoming more and more extinct over the weeks. Then the re-examination happened in 2003. There was actually some luck in the air. Tests determined the chips were an exact match for a pigment known as "red lake" used by the 17th-century Dutch master and had been used in the stolen Vermeer as it says in the article. The F.B.I were then because in phase 1 with no answer. The F.BI.'s database
No matter what floor of the museum I am on or what piece of artwork I am looking at, I always return to the center of the heart of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum- the interior courtyard. The courtyard was opened in 1903. It contains artwork, is a piece of artwork itself, and is a sanctuary in the bustling city.
America is portrayed to be diverse, beautiful, and most importantly the land of the free. The world is full of different colors, shapes, and sizes of people with different opinions, talents, and motives. When you think of the United States of America what is the first thing that comes to mind? The first thing that comes to my mind is selfish. People who are not from America have this image of America being so wonderful and you can come to America if you want to become free. This image is painted from the wonderful movies and actresses we have in America but we do have our flaws just like any other country. On March 20, 2017, I along with my classmates had the opportunity to visit the National Center for Civil and Human Rights museum in Atlanta. Georgia. This museum focuses on stories of advocates who fought for the human rights of human beings. They did a wonderful job of making each exhibit explanatory and unforgettable. The two exhibits that caught my eyes were the segregation exhibit and the lunch counter.
Though I very deeply wanted to attend the either the Kelsey Museum of Archeology or the Natural History Museum in Ann Arbor, I unfortunately was not able to make the trip to either of these fine museums. I was however able to visit the wonder Ella Sharp Museum right here in Jackson. I was skeptical that I would find anything related to the ancient history era or anything else that we had studied at class, I did happen to stumble upon a stunning pair of stained glass window murals!

An Administrative Assistant that may work in an educative environment (school) will basically deal with handling special administrative tasks, student and parent responsibilities or duties, as well as dealing with computerized tasks.
Administrative assistants must be able to handle challenging situations and many details at once. The assistants are what keeps an office running while supporting the efforts of a business owner executive, manager, or professional group. Their main responsibility is to keep their place of employment running smoothly, thus all of their duties relate back to the operational proceedings of an office. These duties may include scheduling meetings, answering phones, managing databases, disseminating information (through email and internal memos), creating spreadsheets, generating reports, ordering equipment, and working with clients or customers. People who demonstrate these skills in this field can advance to higher
In exploring the American Alliance of Museum’s (AAM) JobHQ site, I came upon a posting for a Curator of Historical Collections at the Maine State Museum. This is one position I could really enjoy, as they are looking for someone who has the ability to do the “‘telling’ of personal and community histories through objects (AAMJobHQ, n.d.); something I adore doing. It seems as though every aspect of this position involves many of the areas I enjoy. And, in looking over the requirements, I find I already possess many of the skills and qualifications for this job due to my experience as the curator of our city’s museum for the past ten years. I am lacking in a few areas, however, I can implement a plan to gain the necessary
