He discusses the challeneges that college graduates often face that make many students wonder if its all really worth it. Because there is growing concern regrding things like student debt, the struggle to find work and being stuck in a job you feel overqualified for its easy to draw the conclusion that college just isnt worth the trouble. Due to the fact that college helps you get better jobs and gives you more knowledge of that field, it will give some people the opportunity of making more money than some people. Not all have to go to college to be successful, and not all hardworking jobs require a college degree. College is not necessarily a measure of intelligence. Especially in todays economy, a lot of people can not afford to pursue higher education. That does not mean they would not make really fantastic doctors or lawyers if they could afford to go to college. College started to be the direction many students take after high school. During junior year, all the teachers start telling their student to consider college and the major that they want to pursue. We are told to “go to college” by family, media, and teachers, but we are never given an explanation on why it’s important for us to get a higher education. The importance of higher education is so we can obtain a career that can support our needs and wants. It’s also important because it gives you an advantage when trying to get a job. Employers require a higher form of education, which is necessary for our society to advance. There aren’t many jobs that accept people with a high school diploma as their highest form of education. Employers want people that know what they’re doing, and so does our society. In order for people to go into the career field they want, they need to go to college to learn everything that comes with that career.

However, in “Why college isn’t for everyone…”, written by Chris Matthews, the author argues that college is not for everyone. Matthews explained the difficulty of inquiring a good paying job with a four-year degree. With the fast growing environment, it will no longer be possible to find a good paying career without a four-year degree. The advancement that a four-year college degree in far more beneficial rather than not obtaining one.

This means that going to college can be worth it if you want a better job and a better paycheck.

Newly college graduates are struggling to find work. Others, on the other hand are accepting jobs offers for which they feel overqualified. Student debt has exceeded over$1 trillion. These facts are enough to make a series of questions about whether a college education is still worth it or not. Achieving a college degree is worth the time and effort as well as the financial struggle because there is more to be gained besides context knowledge. College Is Still Worth It Here in the United States there is not an abundance of quality jobs. The economy is at a very low point which makes it difficult for people to get a job, especially without having a college degree. Over the years competition in the work force has risen greatly, and with this has made a college degree much more valuable.

A lie that a person told will eventually catch up with that person. It's the same way college education works. Change can’t be done overnight. College education is worth the money because the opportunities it gives, higher wages and networking.

As adolescents begin their senior year, the topic of college often runs without hindrance, often causing extreme stress. As the monetary value, as well as the time spent, begins to accumulate in their minds, students often find themselves bound at the wrists figuring out a way to balance as well as afford college living.
