AIM:
The investigate the spatial difference between the east coast and west cost of New Zealand. Comparing Muriwai Beach with Eastern Beach
HYPOTHESIS:
A west coast beach is a destructive environment compared to an eastern coast environment which is constructive.
Introduction:
Muriwai Beach is a coastal community on the west coast of the Auckland region, in the north island of New Zealand. Muriwai is approximately 17ilometer m west of kumeu and 42 kilometre northwest of Auckland. Muriwai draws lots of surfers and fisherman.
Eastern beach is a suburb of Auckland New Zealand. It is located on the eastern city of the city centre. Its most common attraction is a popular palm fringed beach, in summer, the temperature attracted thousands of people around Auckland.
In this internal I would like to investigate whether there is a spatial difference between Eastern Beach and Muriwa, and find out what caused the two beaches to be different. To achieve this I will use different equipment’s to help collect the data I need
Methodology:
Equipment
• Stop watch
• Clinometer
• Ranging poles (*2)
• Tape measure
• Float( tennis ball or apple)
• Alba wind watch
• Wind o We used an Alba wind watch to record the wind speed and the direction at both the base and the top of the dunes to see if there is any variation. We used a compass to record the direction of the wind.
• Long Shore Drift o The stopwatch is used to measure whether long-shore drift occurs at eastern beach,
When it comes to Hawaii, Hawaii is a place where many people wish of visiting and a place where many dream of living. This is because of our beautiful scenery, its
Using a ranging pole ensuring a consistent height from different variable factors such as height. By using a clinometer it is securing a valid angle to create an accurate beach profile, using a tape measure with units such as cm and mm establishes more precise data. Constructing a beach profile determines how the size of the beach changes. By repeating the investigation it allows results to be as precise and reliable as possible. This ultimately helps me to either prove or disprove my hypothesis.
At Wanda Beach, the tall trees and scrubs act as a windbreaker which further protects the sand formation. According to the field work results collected using the anemometer (see figure 3), the Aeolian processes at the front and the top of the primary dune is where the wind speed is highest. So it is important to plant plants such as the hairy spinifex to stabilise the sand due to its expansive root system and its ability to survive low water conditions.
The main function of these maps is identifying the area that is suitable for building an education center on McNabs Island. I divided my analysis maps into three parts which are slope and geology, environment and cultural sites, and microclimate. For the slope and geology map, I combined the slope, bedrock and surficial geology together because I think all of them can majorly determine and describe the topography. Bedrock and surficial geology are the materials that are under the ground. They might form different topography by the geological action including weathering and eroding processes. Also, the slopes can decide whether the land is a plain or a hill. Furthermore, I think slope and geology can risk of the environmental hazards like
Cronulla Beach is a popular tourist attraction and attracts many beachgoers from all over Sydney. It is located on a southern Sydney peninsular, surrounded by Botany Bay to the north, Bate Bay to the east, Port Hacking to the south, and Gunnamatta Bay to the west.
II. Purpose of the Presentation and Thesis (with photo): There may be other coastal destinations in the United States, but Virginia Beach is both classic and classy.
5. End unit. We expect the partial reduction of view of end units on the ocean side (numbers ending in 11) to reduce their sale price. The ocean view of these end units is partially blocked by building 2. This qualitative variable is also specified with a dummy variable (1 if the unit has a unit number ending in 11 and 0 if not).
A seawall was implemented at Cronulla beach as a result of the inappropriate development, which occurred, on the very shoreline. A seawall is a form of coastal defence, constructed where the sea, and associated coastal processes, impact directly upon the landforms of the coast. The purpose of a seawall is to protect areas of human habitation, conservation and leisure activities from the action of tides and waves. Specifically in Cronulla, the seawall was administered in order to act as the tertiary dune, which was removed to conserve space that allowed coastal development to proceed. Ultimately, this structure protects the development behind it (such as hotels, restaurants and car park spots), against the waves and tides of the ocean. Hence its vital role is to capture sand and dissipate wave energy; the slight concave structure of the seawall at Cronulla increases the dissipative element of the waves, thus showcasing the Seawall’s efficacy. Such absorption of wave energy means the natural process of erosion is reduced incredibly; consequently leading to the increased stability of the land where infrastructure has been developed. Furthermore, despite the issue of inappropriate development being combated with the implementation of seawalls, there are numerous disadvantages associated with such a structure. The main role of a seawall is to dissipate or reflect incoming wave energy and as
The famous Kona Beach is on the western side of the big island, Hawaii. Along with the crystal-clear waters that are perfect for snorkeling and diving, there are ancient historic sites and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. The Raintree at Kona Reef is perfectly situated on the Kona coast for you to see the best sights, relax on the beach and enjoy all the amenities and facilities the resort has to offer. When you buy a Kona Reef timeshare, you own a little bit of this world-famous and yet secluded paradise.
Proper formation of the spatial variables for the choice model considering the scale, extent and characteristics will provide realistic and useful insight about local or regional preferences. Similarly, MAU technique that can incorporate spatial data maintaining its distinct characteristic will ensure reliability of the
New Zealand is located in Oceania. It consists of islands in the South Pacific Ocean, southeast of Australia. The total area of this country is about 267,710 sq km. The nationality of the citizen is New Zealander. The population of New Zealand is about 4,438,393 people. The language used include English, Maori, Samoan, Hindi, French, Northern Chinese, and Yue. Beaches, as an example, are shaped by an ongoing cycle of erosion and deposition of sand. Storms erode beaches of their sand, that is then re-deposited by massive waves. Over time, this has destroyed several of Australia's lovely beaches.
There are many similarities and differences between the United States (U.S.) and New Zealand that make them unique. The U.S. has people from all around the world Including people from New Zealand. There is an abundance of jobs and opportunities for people who live there. They have freedom and liberty. This gives them rights that citizens of many other countries don’t have. They also have the right to vote for laws as well as political figures they want in office. Although the U.S. has some amazing qualities, New Zealand has many of the same Ideals, as well as several differences, but regardless both countries are amazing places.
This semester was well for me I have a lot of changes, Some teachers are rude. But that makes me to be better. The only class that I love is Miss.Cooper Class. For me is the best class of all that I have.
New Zealand is one of the countries in the world that has unwritten consititution and it is vital because it is the base of a government on how to govern a country based on it. Having a written constitution in New Zealand will give New Zealanders more access about certain documents on the consitution itself. On the other hand, if New Zealand continuously having an unwritten constitution, the citizen may not have knowledge on it due to limited access on it. This essay will clarify on constitution and what is a written constitution. This essay also covers the need to include the Constitution Act 1986, the Public Finance Act 1989 and the Arms Act 1983 and removing the Public Sector Act 1988 from it.
