The branch campus currently has 69 full-time Staff and 270 part-time Facility. In 1993, the campus was tiny, and we were still trying to attain a successful student interested on the campus. During this year there was a private donation to the college which provided us with 80 acres of land to give us a boost in our expansion. These would give a place to house the community college for years to come. We began the development process, and we received funding’s to start the new building on the Klauer Campus on May 13, 1997, we had our open house dedication and began teaching in those new classrooms.
In 2003, UNM-Taos became an official branch campus of the University of New Mexico under the Branch Community. Which was even a great success not only for the college but for the community as well this opportunity was huge because the university began to open more jobs and opportunities for many individuals? Our community of Taos is very rural, and employment is very hard to come by so the university gave many jobs. In 2010, UNM-Taos was reaccredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The purpose of this paper is to present a comprehensive yearly plan for Skylar Community College a small, but rapidly growing college in the small town of Skylar, Texas. The college has decided to revise its strategic plan by looking at its current year enrollment which has declined as compared to previous years. The college has asked its President to prepare this comprehensive plan and present it before the Board to implement for the next year. The paper starts with a brief overview of the mission and vision of Skylar Community College by discussing its major areas of concern in the long run.
The death penalty is procedure conducted by the government by which a person is put to death as a punishment for a crime. The crimes that can sometimes carry the death sentence in places like the US are war crimes, treason, murder, crimes against humanity, espionage and genocide. 103 countries as of today have fully removed the death penalty except for special crimes e.g. War crimes. Although this is a step in the right direction (for most people) 56 countries are known to perform the death penalty.

"Once the community stopped looking for land in a different place, we started focusing on where we are and how we can develop the campuses, facilities and the programs. And the more we can find ways to connect to our community around us, the better
The saying, “never underestimate what one group of concerned people can do”, describes what you accomplished during a very difficult time. One of the most memorable moments in my career is the night that you chose to financially support the second building for the Motlow campus. You will remember that funding was tight and the stock market was experiencing drastic declines. It would have been easy for you to claim these factors as reasons to avoid helping Motlow. However, you were bold, courageous, visionary leaders who knew that investing in educating your citizens is always the right thing to do in any circumstances.
One thing the organization could do to raise the gender consciousness would be to do an ongoing series of sensitivity training for all staff. Along with this training would be annual assessment seminars that will teach people the different types of discrimination and harassment and the steps they need to take when such a situation is posed upon them. In the Cancer center where I am employed, women make up nearly 70% of the managerial and supervisory staff in all departments. At the executive level they only make up
Throughout history, America has been confronted by opponents who wish to challenge its sovereignty. Over time, these challenges have been coined terrorism, and those that engage in terrorism have been known as terrorists. While allowing terrorism to thrive is an option that the leader of the free world rejects, the effects of combatting terrorism can appear to be just as damaging. As times have evolved, so has this threat of terrorism; with the evolution of terror comes the evolution of methodology in combating terror. Since its development, the nation’s rivals have campaigned to disrupt the American way of life, and though written in the Constitution, it is understandable to reason that these liberties American citizens hold so dearly must be suspended in order to successfully combat the nature of today’s threat from terror. Prevention of terror is vital in today’s age. Terrorism has plagued the nation and in an effort to prevent such acts, the nation has embraced the belief of infringing upon civil liberties in an effort to safeguard its borders from terrorism in America in the name of national security.
Organizational Behavior has taught me a lot in regards to learning to work with others and making groups of people work efficiently. While classroom readings and in-class slideshows have been valuable in understanding key concepts, my greatest personal growth has come from both your personal stories, as well as your many invaluable speakers. Throughout this paper, I will focus on the lessons your speakers have taught me, and how those shared lessons will have a positive impact on my future decision-making.
When compared to Freud’s psychosexual stages of development, one can see that Erikson’s theory has many similarities. As a one of Freud’s students, Erik Erikson was not convinced by Freud’s psychosexual stage of development, which lead to the development of his theory of psychosocial stages of development (Arnett, 2015). Within Erikson’s theory there are eight different stages with different life crisis to be resolved. Not resolving the conflicts would lead to an unhealthy personality, which causes many pro and cons within Erikson’s theory (Engler, 2013).
An organizational analysis is an important tool to become familiar with how medical businesses and organizations are able to meet standards of care, provide services for the community and provide employment to health care providers. There are many different aspects to evaluate in an organizational analysis. This paper will describe these many aspects and apply the categories to the University Medical Center (UMC) as the organization being analyzed.
Classical organization theory evolved during the first half of this century. It represents the merger of scientific management, bureaucratic theory, and administrative theory.
Hospital AB and Health Center is a community based acute care general hospital. The hospital is proactive in seeking methods to identify and provide all sources of community benefit and charity care. The mission of the hospital as stated in administrative service manual policy 726 (2005) is “With caring and compassion, we will improve the health and quality of life of the people we service.” The purpose of existence of the hospital is the commitment to patients and community to first understand their needs, second to provide services that meet these needs; and third, the recognition that service and clinical excellence are only achieved if they are delivered with caring and compassion.
When looking back at all of the weekly written assignments there are a few things I should note. There were some questions like naming the ‘theories of rationality’ in the written assignments which I did not yet fully grasp at the moment of answering the questions. When I look back at the first assignment I now understand what was asked of me. To some degree, this also applies to some of the other exercises. What I have noticed is that my writing skills have improved hugely thanks to the Organization Theory course, which can be seen in the difference in quality between my first assignment and this final essay.
