At Christmas, gifts are the perfect human ginger to treat everyone on your list. They're cute, delicious, and you get this feeling of childhood Christmas. This year, why not give your family and friends a creative gift that is guaranteed to be unique and original, a gift from our favorite holiday cookie: gingerbread. When I'm in the supermarket today, I saw a great idea of art - a kit of gingerbread. It came with 4 men gingerbread, icing and candies pre-made parts. I took a kit for my own children, and then went to get 3 more for my nieces and nephews. We decorate the house and cookies and made me think. Otherwise, how would it be funny if not using our own human homemade gingerbread cookies? So I decided that we will go tomorrow and ingredients
To extend on children’s interest on gingerbread man story, we made gingerbread man biscuits. Making gingerbread man cookies is a fun cooking activity, and children get hands-on experience. Through this experience, the children worked on their turn taking skills, they followed the steps of a recipe, and explored units of measurement and worked on their fine motor skills as they rolled the dough and cut out the cookie.
They also put together care packages at the baby shower that had pens and devotional booklets for the women in them. Their plan was to make 100 of them. It looks like they had a great time at the big shower.
Christmas Carol How does Charles Dickens convey the character of scrooge in the early pages of a Christmas Carol? Charles Dickens, is best known for his host of distinctively cruel, repugnant characters. His father was sent to a Debtors prison taken his son Charles with him
Then they insisted. I said, okay. We will just have a cake and maybe small package pastries for friends to bring it home.
It’s Christmas time! Baking cookies for Christmas will make the holiday season more fun filled.
Now that the holidays are over, I hope you will sit, relax, and have a cup of tea or coffee and some cookies. The spice cookies are a Moravian tradition in Winston-Salem. Our town was founded by the Moravians in 1735. They came here from Germany to seek religious freedom. We belong to the Moravian church so these cookies are a holiday treat for us as well. Because your family treated us so specially, I thought it was only appropriate I thank you with a little something “special” to our family as well. Think about the wonderful times your magnificent family shared together. We feel so honored to have enjoyed Thanksgiving with each of you. This is just a little thank you for such a SPECIAL holiday that meant more to our family than you’ll
Since halloween was around the corner, I thought a little halloween craft would be great. Of course I first asked if everyone celebrated halloween, and with all the nodding from every child, we began my favorite part of the whole week. We shared halloween jokes, and no matter if we have heard them before or not, we all laughed hard. People were pretending to be ghosts and said what their costume was going to be. Eventually, the scraps were flying everywhere like snow, so we had a contest as to whoever picked up the most trash would get a spectacular high-five. They all had fantastic attitudes and were great listeners, which made me smile even more.
I would have to try at least. So I woke up early Thursday morning and got to work. One of the first things that I needed to do was make the jello for green stuff, so it could set. Soon as that was finished I got the turkey prepared. It was a little difficult stuffing the turkey but I got past that. Next I started peeling and cutting the potatoes. My sister helped me with that using a potato peeler instead of a knife. After I cut the potatoes in half we cooked them and mashed the all up with butter, salt and pepper. Lastly was one of my favorite part, making kringla. I love making kringla because it’s kinda complicated to make. What made this time really special was that I was teaching my little sister. My sister and I were mixing ingredients when she asked “Malea, why do you love cooking so much?”. Why is my sister asking me this. “Well Catrina, why do you love singing?” “I like it because it makes me happy and reminds me of you and mom.” Did that just come from my nine year old sister’s mouth. Wow, didn’t see that coming. If there is one that my sister and I have in common it’s our love for singing.
It was about 10:00pm and we started carving the pumpkins, they were gross and slimy. I carved a Jack O-lantern. I put the seeds on the baking sheet and covered them in a blanket of garlic
This Easter, I stretched myself and made homemade Coco Bars and Toffee Bark. I’m still working on the recipes. It’s the second round on the Coco Bars and the first for the Toffee

I collaborated with Camille again because we both expressed interest in making a floor decorating program for Halloween allowing residents to decorate their floor with black tablecloths to make monster faces.
Baking is the best part of the holidays especially for families and young couples. The most common foods made during this time are cookies, bread, hams, cakes, and meat pies. Cheese and meat plates are served during parties as well as the traditional pizza, candy canes, fruit cakes and apple pies. While Christmas may not be known for its flowers, there are many plants that are used during this holiday. The most popular would have to be holly, ivy, and mistletoe.
