The Industrial Revolution was blessing because there were more jobs, increased wages, unlimited innovations, and new inventions. According to a biography by Andrew Carnegie in April 23, 1896 he said, “here i entered a new world… This brought me into notice, and finally I became an operator, and received the enormous recompense of twenty five dollars per month!...”. This quote proves that the Industrial Revolution was a blessing because Andrew shows his emotion how he thought “he entered a whole new world” by getting a new and better job and he also got a pay raise. Additionally, in a text by Andrew Ure in 1835, Andrews work as consulting chemist helped a lot because it improved the machines employers used in factories and made workmen have
Two positive effects of the Industrial Revolution is that it created factories and it commercialized agriculture. Factories greatly benefitted the Industrial Revolution because it created business practices that still exist today such as the assembly line and working hours. The assembly line was a way to boost productivity by dividing one whole task into smaller tasks among men. The assembly line greatly boosted the economy by making products faster, was less expensive and created many more jobs. Another positive effect of the Industrial Revolution was the commercialization of agriculture. This was a huge benefit because it allowed for land to be sold as a marketable item and produce enough food for populations. Document 1 proves this point

As the Industrial Revolution started in the early 1800s, the US gave investors many opportunities which allowed the nation to change towards an industrial economy. Events such as the War of 1812 and people such as Henry Clay pushed towards industrial growth after the Embargo Act was passed by Jefferson. The US experienced the start of an industrial revolution which allowed more involvement of the people, technological growth, and many other factors. First, the government eliminated foreign competition, allowing domestic industries to thrive. Second, the readily available labor force created by a large number of jobless immigrants allowed factories to function efficiently and achieve full production. Lastly, the creation of the Bank of the United
After the Industrial Revolution spread throughout Europe and America, it only started in Japan during the 1880s. The Industrial Revolution was a time where farms changed to factories . Due to the rule at that time that didn't allow them to follow after Europe and America because they didn't want to be in contact with them. After 100 years, Japan finally followed after and making new inventions such as the Spinning Jenny or the Power loom helped create jobs for men and women. Women workers had contributed to textile mills during the Industrial Revolution but factories took advantage of the young girls or women who couldn't read looking for jobs. The Industrial Revolution was a turning point for Europe due to the fact that it fueled their expansion to new lands, their use of fossil fuels, and the boom of the textile industry. With the rise of the Industrial Revolution there were some similarities and differences during the period. A few similarities through the period are the belief in religions, the division of social classes, and the spread of diseases. As well as the differences in population size, job opportunities, and living arrangements between classes. The similarities during this period are all continuities which means is that they didn’t change over the course of the Industrial revolution.
The 19th century sparked a revolution in medical, scientific, technological advancements, because of this the lives of European workers changed. With such a rapid change in such a short period of time, the governments could not keep up with what the people wanted. As work centralized around crowded cities and the population of cities exploded, the living conditions became unsanitary and workplace inhumane. Many of the people looked toward the government for legislative action to be taken, others opposed that, as it did not go with the ‘laissez-faire’ ideology. While millions of people were left in poverty, some decided a revolution was the only solution.
Although the Industrial Revolution had its pitfalls and negative parts it was overall a positive thing because of things like higher standards of living and incredible technological advancements. In the beginning, the cities were a special form of hell due to the throngs of people flooding to the cities and jumpstarting urbanization “the streets are unpaved, full of holes, filthy, and strewn with refuse.” (Document 7, Friedrich Engles). This was no doubt a pitfall of the Industrial Revolution. The lack of sanitation in the cities lead to deaths from diseases like cholera and housing was cramped and lacking.

The industrial revolution in the United States’ happened from the mid to late 1700’s to the mid to late 1800’s. The revolution was going on as the American Civil War began and introduced many new technological advances which proved extremely useful during the war. The Union or northern states controlled approximately 85% of all manufacturing plants in the U.S. at the time.
The Industrial Revolution, while a stepping stone to the technologies used today, was not an event altogether well-received by the people living in its era. It brought changes to the economic system of Europe that many were not willing to accept, including a shift from rural to urban life. According to Professor Michael Mandelbaum, traditional systems of land ownership, production, and social classes were made obsolete early into the Industrial Revolution, (Doc 5) and replaced with entirely new systems, whereupon land was more spread among the populace and often owned by capitalists and businessmen, and a new social class, the middle class, was created. With new technologies and the rise of urbanization, methods of production changed. Prior
