With this higher pay they can enjoy a less stressful and a more comfortable life. With higher education one can make more money. Higher education not only provides higher income but also knowledge. In the article, “Top 20 Reasons why Education Is Important” it is stated that “The basic thing that you get from education is knowledge. You get to know about various things ranging from mathematics to history, literature to political science” (Khemka). The importance of this statement is the fact that education provides knowledge. And with higher education comes even greater knowledge. The knowledge you receive from education plays a great role in your future life. It can help you understand what is happening around the world more cohesively. In high school you receive knowledge about economics, the US government, and the human body which are later fine-tuned and greatly added to by higher education. The knowledge received from higher education helps us understand our own government, our rights, and today’s society. As the intellectual reformer, philosopher, and champion of modern science Francis Bacon said, “Knowledge is Power”( Simpson). He was one of the greatest philosophers and contributors of today’s society and he gained his knowledge and wisdom from no other then, higher education. We should all take examples of great philosophers such as Sir Bacon, and understand education is knowledge, and knowledge is power. Sir Bacon was from a prominent
Peter Thiel presents his argument concerning higher education in the online article “Thinking Too Highly of Higher Ed.” Anthony P. Carnevale also argues his position on continuance of education in his article, “College is Still Worth It.” Both articles concern whether the investment in higher education is actually worth the money, time, and effort. Thiel argues that the decision is up to each individual, but higher education is not necessary in order to become successful. Carnevale, on the other hand, argues that in order to succeed in life, higher education is necessary.
Is college really worth it? This is the question many students are starting to ask themselves as the college cost increases and the benefits of a degree are falling. Right now, in our society, a college education is no longer an option or privilege, but rather a necessity. We are practically raised and conditioned to believe that one needs a higher education in order to succeed. Although some may argue that a college education can provide better career opportunities and lead students to higher-paying jobs, this is not true for everyone. Research today suggests that a college degree does not always guarantee employment and that many college graduates end up burdened by the vast amount
Many think college is not worth it, however when I think of college not being worth it, I ask myself what is “it”? Is college not worth the sacrifice, time, or stress? In this case, many are not college material, simply for lacking the amount of effort and self motivation it takes to get through college. I oppose with the statement “For many, College isn’t worth it” because college is worth everything it takes for you to become great in the field you choose to study. Many people are not able or do not have the mindset to get through college, but that do not mean they will never have the mindset. Most people do not work hard under pressure or have great skills at testing or learning at a slow or fast pace. Some people believe that after highschool, since it is required, that going straight into an occupation is better for them. In my opinion, college is a stepping stool for achieving higher education and newer knowledge for the area you decide to infiltrate. I believe the educational world is bias to the brainpower of many people and people of the world is bias to the things they are capable of doing. Therefore, I am confident in stating college is worth it because having a college background ensures you quicker job opportunities, college gives you knowledge to become disciplined and self-motivated, and; college also enhances your communication skills.
Although students will be stressing about the cost at first, it will be worth it at the end. In the future, college education could raise a student’s chance of economic success. In this generation attending college is more of a necessity. We are raised to believe that we need a higher education in order to succeed in life.

Whether you are from the smallest, roughest high school in the U.S. or the largest, wealthiest high school, you have at some point been talked to about furthering your education. America is notorious for pressuring its youth to attend four-year universities and graduating college to become successful. While some of Americas’ young adults might follow blindly into this “social norm,” others will question its logic or even decide that it is not for them. When it really comes down to it, everyone has one question. Is college worth it? I have searched high and low for the correct answer, but with so many factors included it can be hard to ultimately say yes or no. After all not everyone is the same person and not each person fits the same path. What I did find is that everyone has a decision and that they need to find the right path for them. After concluding my research I have come to my answer regarding the question at hand. Although a college degree is very expensive, it is worth the sacrifice of time and money for young adults to earn their degree today if they do it for the right reasons.
The question here is, is college worth it? Many people question this especially high school students who are about to graduate. This debate is still taking place today. The common misunderstood saying is, if you have a degree you will then have a good job. But this is not the case because in today’s society there are so many people with degrees who still cannot find a job. The rate of unemployment is increasing rapidly on a yearly basis. High school students see it this way, if I can’t find a job with a degree then it’s not worth the time, and from there on they quit after high school. On the other side of the debate college education is no longer an option or a privilege, but rather it has become a necessity. The rate of students going to college is increasing every year plus the number of colleges being build is also increasing. In my believe college provides me with higher education that will help me in the future whether it’s with a job or an experience. College education means everything to me and my family because my parents left their home country and immigrated to the United States in order for me and my siblings to have a higher and better education. Higher pays make it possible for people to live a higher standard life. College dropouts or people with just a high school degree don’t have the privilege to live such a standard or luxurious life. They often struggle to even pay the rent for the small houses they live in. Education also teaches the person on how to live a standard and healthy life. An educated person has better insight and knowledge than his less educated peers. His insight and knowledge will support his kids to attain more education and have a wide range of opportunities available which will help them create a path for a better

This makes higher education a reason on which people hardly want to spend their money on. People tend to think and concentrate on the fact that spending their money would only lead to the depletion of their hard earned sources rather thinking about the future benefits they will get if they are appointed by great companies at top notch salary.
