In the late 18th century, European migrants such as Germans, Polish, and Italians came to America to start a better life, little did they know that coming to a new country such as America wouldn't be the easiest. Many Germans, Polish, and Italian immigrants began searching for a new life in America in the late 1800’s. As easy as they thought is was going to be, many immigrants had a tenacious time being part of America. They needed to leave the country that they knew and their loved ones, hoping their lives would improve after arriving in the United States. German immigrants moved to America because of poverty, conversely being so indigent that they couldn't provide for themselves. They also came to America to provide for their families whom they brought along. Polish immigrants came to earn more money then the earned in Poland. Italian immigrants came to America to escape the wars that were happening as well as pursuing a better economic opportunity. Immigration to America was a time where European immigrants wanted to start a new life with their families.

Before lands were set up into fixed colonies, people were free to roam and sail as they pleased. However, this is not to say that discrimination did not exist, and some were killed when they entered into foreign borders. The same holds true today in the United States of America, not necessarily due to discrimination but due to the immigration laws that were put into practice in 1790, beginning with the Naturalization Act. While it is safe precaution to make sure who enters the country and what their motives are, many are being denied the access to the American dream. It is because of this that the U.S. must take a step back and reevaluate their immigration policies.

People come to America in search of many things: freedom, opportunity, or wealth. Coming to America has its downsides. Immigrants are often expected to conform to the dominant culture and give up their own. This was the case for early German immigrants; but along with being purged of their own culture, they contributed to American culture.

Immigration in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s and immigration now of course have some difference, but both came to the United States for pretty much the same reason. All these immigrants come from their different backgrounds and places. These immigrants also have struggled when they first get here, but something they can all agree on is that they came here for one main reason and that’s for advanced improvement especially economic.

With the new presidential election coming in the next year, and presidential candidate Donald Trump and all of the controversy of illegal immigration is taking things to a whole other level. Coming from illegal immigrant parents it makes it very disturbing for me to see what society has become and what they are making immigrants seem like. Making the Hispanic look incompetent and unworthy of our country when in reality it’s that immigrant that has helped our country grow. It’s that hard working human being that is striving for growth. How shameful to see that the citizens of this actual country take it for granted when others aspire to belong.

Immigration in America has changed a lot over the years. Back in the Plymouth plantation time sailors had trouble traveling because of seasickness and very high winds. In one ship a large group of sailors sets sail for Holland for a religious free place that would be in what they now call New England. After they had fair winds and weather for a season, they encountered some dangerous storms and winds that the ship crudely shake. The ship had some troubles from the winds and waves of water crashing onto the ship but made it through just fine.

Immigrating to America during the mid-1800s to the early-1900s was a very difficult and important change to an immigrant's life. Immigrants came to America because of political and religious issues, economic opportunities from the Great Plains, and employment. These reasons are called pull factors, these encouraged many immigrants from different countries to leave their homeland and travel to America. Immigrants also believed in the American Dream. The American Dream has many meanings, for the immigrants they believed that this was a pursuit of big opportunities and living a stable life. Immigrants also had terrible issues back at their homeland which gave them the motive to leave, these are called push factors. Some push factors were poverty,

U.S. as an immigration country, has a long history of immigration. It is a complex demographic phenomenon that has been a major source of population growth and cultural change of the United States. People came here because of varies reason, the major reason among them are fleeing crop failure, land and job shortage, rising taxes, and famine. Nearly 12 million people immigrate to the United States between 1870 and 1900, making it the world largest immigrate country.

First, let’s look at the largest group of immigrants that migrated to America, Irish. The conditions that cause the Irish to leave their old country and move to America were, English government, famine and force. The English government did everything to make life for Irish unbearable; for example, raising tax making it hard to get out of poverty. Famine was the next condition that cause Irish to migrate to America; when the great potato famine hit many died thus leaving two alternatives for the survivors; stay and died or leave. This was one force that cause many to leave the other force was the English government. Imagine yourself walking in your town and having the fear of seeing immigration patrol. Being taken away in just a second and not being able to contact your family. The moment you see immigration patrol you get shocked; your mind goes blank and have no idea what to do but to panic and think of a solution to avoid getting close to them and getting deported. The fear of getting deported out of nowhere gains anxiety but even though you have no crimes on your record and you are not a United States citizen it makes you feel insecure and afraid. In 2014 Barack Obama's immigration speech, he says, " All of us are created equal and all have the chance to make our lives that we will" (105). Regardless

Illegal immigration has been a topic of conversation for many years. It has been debated what defines a illegal immigrant, and what we should do about them. Illegal Immigrants are negative for the United States because they hurt the economy, and the task of migrating illegally is dangerous for the immigrants as well.

The history of immigration runs strong in the U.S because almost all of us are descendants of immigrants. The first major waves of immigrants came around the colonial era, seeking a new life. These colonial era immigrants came to America for economic reasons mostly, or greater opportunities. Though most of these colonial immigrants lived in poverty, working as servants, similar to modern immigrants.

Illegal immigration is one of the major problem in USA. Illegal immigrants also known as undocumented aliens. Basically it refers to the people who crosses the US national border in violation of US nationality laws. Illegal immigration to the USA occurs through illegally crossing the border, overstaying after expired visa, smuggling, false visa and Identity theft. The main problems caused by illegal migrants are terrorism, lost jobs, low wages, and stolen taxpayer resource. All of these problems are affecting the Americans. American citizens are not getting the things that they deserve just because of those illegal immigrants. Anyway to solve these types of problems USA need to get rid of those illegal immigrants, also they get even stronger
