This is an anthology composed of different sources written by many important specialist in their respective fields. In this book the authors emphasize in the most important political and social issues that the United States are facing regarding to immigration. One of The current controversies examined in this anthology is about the immigration laws that are resulting in abuse. For example, the 287 (g) program is stereotyping all the immigrants whether they are legal or not; therefore immigrants are removed from United States even if they have not committed any violent crime. From this anthology I will use the most current but important task that our legislators are facing. One of the task is that they know that the American nation needs immigrants to improve the economy of the country. Another task is that the only crime that most of no authorized immigrants commit is break the immigration law when they enter to the United States because when they are already in they seem to have more respect to the domestic criminal code than the native- born
