Ignore the haters, this is a solid and entertaining film and definitely worth a watch. It starts off a bit slow but that's needed to set things in motion. This is definitely not a bad film as some have reviewed, from the cinematography to the editing to the acting, it's really well done and worth a watch, keep in mind, it's a remake of a very cheesy 70s film called HEAT so while some might be turned off by the cheesy dialogue, I personally thought it was hilarious, and it's complemented by some very well done scenes that move things along quite nicely. For what it is and what it sets out to do, it earns five out of five stars in my book as I never became bored while watching it.
It's not Dostoyevsky's THE GAMBLER (and I haven't seen the Wahlberg
In my opinion, I feel that this movie, compared to today’s standards, is poor quality. From the 1980’s to the current time, the Hollywood industries and other movie producers have made astronomical improvements with every film released, and ever since
I won't give too much away so if you want watch it if you don't then don't I don't care, but I would watch it if I were you. I give it 5 stars out of 5 because it is a truly an amazing movie, and I would like to leave with a few wise words "if it ain't broke brake
My final rating of the movie is three out of five stars because the sound effects were pretty good. The camera movements were good. The fight scenes were realistic and the characters didn’t fit their description but played their part
This isn't just another family road trip comedy as I thought it would be. This was a dark and quirky comedy at its best. The script and acting was brilliant, the characters were unusual and the ending was eventful and unpredictable. The grandpa said a lot of things that were probably inappropriate for younger watchers, and he used drugs, but they he ended up dying, which is a positive anti-drug message. Overall a beautiful movie, but parents need to be careful about showing even the edited version for
Overall, I enjoyed the film. My biggest issue was the formatting of the film and the medium that it was available. It would have been more enjoyable had the film not been broken up into segments that needed to load. Had the movie been available on DVD or in one longer segment, it would have been easier to watch. The continuous breaks in the action of
I will admit that I will probably see this motion picture due to the historical importance of it and the strong cast but if I were to decide solely based just on the trailer I would not view the movie. This trailer barely makes me want to see the movie because it gives away such little plot. The best way for a trailer to make audiences want to see the movie is to show a specific amount of plot that does not reveal too much but just enough and also boasts some of the well made shots or music in the actual film. Showing the consumer a really unique shot or special camera technique will excite them and make the viewer want more. This trailer gives the audience and exciting gradual editing sequence but it is nothing we have not seen before. This movie is completely unique from all other movies because of the story it’s based on but the trailer does not make it stand out like it
I give it such a high rating because is uses the color of the film amazingly and well as sound, then the acting in this movie is very well done, and the story is great and how the director reveals the mystery and how no one in the movie figures out what rosebud. Last but not least is the way sound is used in the movie. Multiple times sound is a key aspects on what is
Overall I found the movie to be quite interesting and exciting at times but a bit slow in others. The story itself was very clear to me and didn’t cause any confusion. It had a good flow also, just as you were on the verge of falling into boredom with a scene they switched it up on you to keep you
site then four full story high trusses two at each end of the building project
You should have the time to watch it and I'll assure you, you will not regret. I am giving the movie a score of 5 out of 5 for they showed a serious, tragic and a really dramatic movie but has full of lessons to learn
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, however, I did have some small issues with the film. The movie was entertaining with a fun plot line and quality
Rosemary has been used for centuries as a pain reliever and cooking supplement. But through time rosemary has been not only a name, but adapted to modern day medicine. Rosemary may even be the future aid to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. It could be the medicine of the future.
Comment: I found this film very tough going- it is undoubtedly a well made film and has some clever and quirky moments. However I lost interest around halfway through the film and could not engage with the film and its clunky style. A lighter touch would have made a huge difference to the viewing experience. Perhaps as an artistic statement it deserves more than three stars but as a movie going experience it was only a little bit better than average.
Our nation contains a vast collection of memories. We remember soldiers who have died in combat; we remember 9/11; and we remember the deaths of celebrities. While there are so many more things that could be listed, these events have become a conversation in the U.S. When it comes to slavery, however, many choose to turn away. When it comes to the disenfranchisement of Blacks, many dismiss that companies were built by slaves. Any attempt to introduce disturbing revelations is disparaged...thus, the truth of our country is censured. If the past we study is insufficient, what does it say about what we perceive to be our present? Through Morrison’s Beloved, Melville’s “Benito Cereno”, Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, Achebe’s essay, and Miller’s response, we are finally able to discuss the truth about slavery.
We hypothesized that a negative first impression would resonate with participants more so than negative review placed somewhere else in an evaluation, and therefore would produce a higher desire to avoid taking a class with the professor. We also hypothesized that female professors would generally be less desired, as well as be more intensely impacted by a negative impression than male professors would. We found no significance in effect of gender on the likelihood someone will take a class with a professor, both independently and paired with the position of a negative review. We did, however, find that there was a large main effect for the position of a negative review for both genders.
