A bus pulls up to a gravelly parking lot, no buildings in sight except a small building with a sign with a very unusual name, “Icthus”. Icthus is a Christian summer camp I go to every summer, and its is one of my favorite places in the wold. Whenever I walk around camp it fill my head with some of my happiest memories. First, I enter the Ichtus Worship Building, I can still hear the sound of praise to The Lord, a very familiar sound to me. After a little bit of walking, I come up to the kitchen, just by looking at it I get hungry for the buttery and soft mashed potatoes. Around a mile away from the kitchen is the fire pit, where night worship meets. I can almost smell the burned wood in the fire and feel the comforting warmth of the fire.

As a hard-working, committed individual, I believe that being a member of National Honors Society will significantly benefit my personal character, academic achievements, and social life. By being qualified for this outstanding opportunity, I believe that I can attain leadership skills, and confidence which can be beneficial in the years to come.
Hypatia, commonly addressed as Hypatia of Alexandria, was a mathematician, astronomer, astrologist, and philosopher during the time of Ancient Greece. The city of Alexandria that Hypatia lived in was originally part of Greece, until it was conquered by early Egyptians. Hypatia was born around 350 - 370 CE and was raised by her father, Theon. Her father was a scholar of the Museum of Alexandria, which was not, in fact, an actual museum. The Museum of Alexandria was roughly similar to an academy, in the way that it was an early form of a school. The Museum also included the Library of Alexandria, which was an area filled with papers and books filled with vast expanses of knowledge. Theon was believed to have taught his

When I take my first step through the door at Cracker Barrel, the sudden smell of sweet cinnamon, sugars, and spices fill my nose as I look at familiar sights. From left to right, gifts are decorated on top of the shelves and fine glasses are stacked on top of each other in a neat array. Candies are stored together in wooden bins, and clothes hand neatly on the clothing racks. The yellow lights make everything seem brighter and give me a warmer feeling. As I walk ahead past the cashier at my left to see the other half of the place, I see a huge restaurant straight ahead of me with a lady waitress waiting at the front to greet guests with a friendly “hello.” While my family and I were walking to take our
Imagine hiking up to catch a glimpse of Old Faithful, the famous geyser located in Yellowstone National Park. 8000 gallons of hot water are shot up into the sky and reach a maximum altitude at 200 feet. This magnificent sight pales in comparison to plumes located on Enceladus, Saturn’s 6th largest moon. The Cassini spacecraft first spotted Enceladus in 2005 and reported enormous geysers erupting continuously and spouting water thousands of miles into outer space on Enceladus’ fissures near its south pole. This sight is not only uniquely spectacular, but also intriguing, as scientists are still unsure of the exact cause of Enceladus’ Plumes despite nearly a decade of research.
Mohamed Idris a struggling boy during his teenage years was a smart boy but didn’t know how to use his smarts at sometimes. He lived in a densely low income community where he started to befriend a white man, who was always in the street corner of the building smoking cigarettes and weed. He first started to make a communication with him when he asked him where the landowner’s office was. He replied saying come with me, he is over there. The man offered him a cigarette and Mohamed couldn’t refuse it so he could be seen as a cool kid in the neighborhood. It started with a cigarette later weed followed by marijuana and ending with cocaine in the first month. How was this a streak, well this man was a drug dealer who was looking for a partner
Enceladus is one of saturn's moons. The moon has an icy crust and under that it has water. Scientists suspect that the moon has a rocky core and the water might be drinkable. This moon was discovered by Frederick William in August, 28 1789. It took two years to get to Enceladus. The moon is very small only 513 km. It's possible that it has heat resources. The moon has these tiger like stripes that geysers erupt from. Scientist have found out that in these stripes are warm. Geyers may have been formed a little over a hundred million years ago. Ice or water that comes out of the geysers erupt eight hundred miles into space. The moon has a very thin atmosphere. Enceladus has a significant atmosphere that has water vapor. from the moon Light

For the last thirteen summers, my dad and I have made our annual expedition to Versailles, Indiana, for a week, so that we can go camping with my dad’s three brothers, cousins, and their children, which is about 20 Graver men in all, at the same camp site that holds so many memories of years past events, and soon to be events. When we camp there are three procedures that we follow: we eat when we are hungry, we sleep when we are tired, and we must be at the campground pool at 11:00 a.m., so we can be in our traditional location. If we are not at the pool or the campsite, then we are riding our bikes around the campground, enjoying God’s art and handiwork. This is the shortest week out of the entire year, but by far the most enjoyable week,

The outside building is a light dirt colour brown all around, the building is one story with a basement. The door is a large wooden rectangle under a brick arc. The entrance into the synagogue was filled with books shelves, with a front desk, there was a display of the tree of life on the south wall. This tree of life had glass leaves with messages from the elementary school they have. Once I entered into the main area of worship through
There was a thick layer of snow and ice it took us all day to get to our first outpost. we set up camp and stayed the night the unbearable weather. We heard strange noises through the night screams Dom said “they’re just bobcats,” It sounded too real. The sound screeched against my ears throughout the night as if people were slowly being killed, or as if a monster was killing it’s prey. I woke up the next morning and I saw jesus was nowhere to be found I called out to him twice no
At the end of every night of church camp, there is a campfire.
