I have grown up into a generation of people filled with sounds. The resonance of pianos, guitars, and violins, the cry of horns, and the amorphous sounds of countless synths. The sounds have touch my eardrum in a way that has me addicted, I am an audiophile. My days of music started in the womb with the countless concerts and jams that my mother enjoyed and has continued to this day bringing my music to the yellow-line pushing the decibels right before red-lining. These are my headphones, the creation that allowed man to have a personal concert everywhere. The vibration that continues down the ear canal has so much power in these little devices for yourself. I can control the concert with it sounds may it to focus or for leisure with modern music or a sound during or before my childhood full of a nostalgic hum. The tracks are my picks by me and start and stop by my command. I can listen to the nostalgic sounds of …show more content…
The beats energize me with concertation and focus in the activities of my life such as the gym and my homework. I use the music to invade my life as music expresses emotions in a raw beautiful form when done correctly like many of the great artists in the past fifty-sum years. I embrace the soul from people such as Ray Charles and Alicia Keys, and the angst of Nirvana. Music has been utilized in my life with the power of dancing and art form which I enjoy in its purest-form with expressions through the moves and contortions of my body. The power of music in my life is unexplainable as it affects every day and never stops. I will be forever grateful for this gift from God that is shared from my friends and family because they have opened my eyes to a variety of sounds since I have been a kid and teaching me how to enjoy it. This music, I have heard will never leave me as it holds a nostalgic part in minds. The countless times I have used headphone will continues and so will my audiophile life
Music plays a big role in my life. I listen to it everyday. Music helps me process what emotions I am feeling that day. Emotions such as anger, happiness, depression and anxiety. For example in 2011 my commanding officer for young marines died. Then three month later my grandfather passed away. Everything felt hopeless, I was depressed and
Music, it helps the world go ‘round. Whatever kind of music you like, how often you listen to it, it's all up to you. Most likely, you will enjoy many different genres. Often times, it helps you express yourself beyond speech. And like the French poet Victor Hugo said, “ music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that cannot remain silent.”
Music is fuel for everything i do. Driving. Cleaning my room. Cooking. Writing this essay. If i’m even remotely alone and working, I’ve got music to listen to and a beat running my heart like a lawnmower. I’ve been playing since
At the beginning, music has and always will be an important thing in my life. When I am on a road trip or am doing something that takes an extended period of time, I know I can turn on Spotify and drift into my own world. Also, if I ever feel perturbed or dejected, I can listen to my favorite album and feel great again. Third, music helps me prepare for activities such as football games or school. Lastly, music assists me whenever I’m working on something such as homework or a project for school.
According to Harmon (2007), “the public is unprepared for such information and that it is irresponsible to provide it without an expert to help put it in context” (p. 1). Unlike Harmon who actually had her DNA sequenced, I do not plan on obtaining a DNA profile. I understand that if will inform me that I may be prone to some genetic diseases, Alzheimer’s, prostrate cancer, Type 2 diabetes, along with Crohn’s disease. Harmon states “DNA is not definitive” (Harmon, 2007, p. 1).
There are many different kinds of music today, but I seem to connect more to those that make me ponder on about life. At times I look to music for guidance when making a decision. . Music can turn on and turn off the brain. It simply allows ourselves to manifest a connection between the song and our emotions. In the novel Shadowshaper by Daniel Jose Older Robbie is a character that I
For as long as mankind has walked on this earth, music has been an important part of our culture and lifestyles. Each walk of life beats to a different drum. Different cultures use music for many aspects of their lives; for religious purposes, for celebrations, for comfort, for sorrow, for relaxation, for sports, for dances, for energy, for learning, for sleeping, and for sexual experiences. Everyone uses music for something. Music connects with people and reaches them in ways that words simply cannot. Music is a representation of what feelings sound like. It expresses emotion and brings that characteristic out from within us; it tells us a story. Every generation has its’ own sound and different music styles have emerged and become
Music is another language people use when they want to express their feelings. Whether they are angry or passionate, there is always a melody for that emotion. It is universal and it brings people together. There are so many amazing artists that have a real influence on this generation and past generations.
A few days ago I held a football sports seminar that included coaches, sports and health officials. I planned to discuss the injury received from head to head collisions and a way to reduce the number of head traumas and head to head collisions. I believe I can reduce the amount of injuries if I preach better and safer tackling. I also could tell what happens to the brain when its under constant beat down.
Music can be good for the mind and soul. It can give us peace of mind and help a person to be able to concentrate. Some teachers play calming music during class to help students think. Music can be helped with our health. People use Music Therapy to help with many things. People use the therapy music such as the rain forest or low drum beats to help them go to sleep. Doctors use music to help cancer patients, children with ADD to help calm them down. Music is used to help overcome pain. (Scott, Elizabeth.)
If I were having a bad day or bored, if I wanted to remove myself from the harshness of the reality of the streets I could do so by listening to music. Till this day music is passed on to my children from conception. Music speaks to each generation differently but it being passed on generationally gives hope for the future.
Today in society, not being able to pray in school, having God in the pledge of allegiance, and having rules about religious expressions are causing big controversial issues in public schools. As Americans, expressing religious beliefs freely is a given. The right to freedom of religion was guaranteed to U.S. citizens since 1791. Although in some cases, not having religion in schools are reasonable, but ultimately it is wrong and immoral. By not allowing religion to be freely declared in public schools, discrimination, bullying, and ignorance will come about. Students should not be in an environment where teachers are against them. Public schools and Americans need to help make a difference.
Music; Indefinable by words alone. It is not only something you can hear but what you can feel. It is something your soul is able to reach out and touch. Music also has the power to bring us as humans, together. It is one language spoken by all cultures, sexes, races, age and religions. Music also controls our emotions; it makes us happy, sad, angry, relaxed, etc. We also can express ourselves through music. It can affect our personality.. someone who listens to classical, like Mozart or Bach, all the time is going to be smarter and more intellectual than someone who listens to rap or metal, and someone who listens to more upbeat happier music, like Ska or Swing, is more likely to
In summary, music is the bread of life that feeds my soul. It is the only language that I feel is universally recognized and ultimately understood. It takes me back to the past, whether it is good or bad, but it also brings me back to the present state. Most of all music heals me in so many ways like being calm, happy, and at peace. Music is indeed, truly spiritual.
People say that music has the ability to heal a person mentally and spiritually. But to me, music is much more than just healing. It is a way for me to escape this world called reality and enter a world with in my imagination through the different beats, harmony, and chorus. Only when listening to music, I can truly feel all my emotions with each song having the power to make me remember, from painful to happy memories. As I grew up to be the person I am today, my music journey also grows with me. Looking back at it now, I would never want to change a single thing.
