The Renaissance was primarily thought of as being a period in which the revival of learning flourished, and the arts changed for the better and ideas became more focused life on earth. It was a time when new ideas of individualism, the thought of secularism and the interest in human ideas jumpstarted a new and freer lifestyle for everyone. The new ideas formed in the renaissance made enough impact on the world them and ever since that it deserves to be called its own era.

The Renaissance was a rebirth of Europe during the 1400s. It was a time period that came after the Middle Ages, and people started thinking differently than how they were thinking during the Middle Ages. The Bubonic Plague made many people question their lives and also the churches and their religions which were a big part of life during the Middle Ages. Although no one really talks about Renaissance being an obvious era of some of the greatest and most innovative masters of painting, sculptures and builders. Or even that It is also the most influential eras that marked the emergence of a great deal of Scholars, thinkers, writers and philosophers. Regardless the Renaissance (a French word for “rebirth”) was a much needed time for awakening, from the intellectual darkness of the medieval direction, and the rise of many, concepts that would form the basis for civilization as we know it today. Renaissance is a term that was created in the nineteenth century originally to symbolize the revival of art and letters from the influences of ancient Roman and Greek models. The Renaissance was unquestionable, a distinct era. Logical thoughts and morals from the ancient Greek and Roman individuals headed towards humanistic beliefs and encouraged people to become multi-talented people. As a result, the Renaissance people became a prominent population. As the ideals of the people changed, religion could no longer control their lives and Allowed advancements in all characteristics of life to virtually improved.

The Renaissance was a time of creativity and perspective. A time where artists thrived. Some Renaissance artist included Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Titian. Each of these artists worked for Patrons, the people who paid them to create art.

The history of art dates back to ancient times. Artwork can be, and was, found around the world. What makes art interesting is that it can be created in any way, shape or form with any materials. It seems that the artwork can also tell us a lot about the artist. Art seems to be simply, a direct, visual reflection of the artist’s life. Therefore, one can assume that an artist’s life experiences and beliefs directly influence their art. If we look at examples from different periods of art we will be able to see the connection between the artist and the art.
