I was born into a family that has had some troubles internally, but we have been strong financially. During my life, this meant I never had to worry about my family being in a tough place financially or us not being able to afford necessities. In the 7th grade, I moved to Houston to live with my mom for the 2nd semester. I was only 13 so things were starting to get real to me. At first when I got to Houston, I was very nervous because I didn't know anyone. As the first few days went on, I started to meet a lot of new friends and then school became awesome. One of my new friend's birthday was approaching and it was the first time I had hung out with my friends outside of school. As we got out of school that Friday, we all went home quickly before meeting up for his birthday. …show more content…
As I met up with my friends at the movie theater, there were a few people I hadn't met yet and I introduced myself and we all got our tickets to the movie. When we were in line for the movie, some of my friends didn't have enough to get themselves a ticket so I used some of my extra cash to help them get theirs. The people I helped were so grateful and thankful and I didn't really know why then. We saw the movie and after we all went back to the person whose birthday it was house. We all crammed in one car which wasn't the safest but we got there safely because it wasn't far. When we got to his house, I saw it wasn't going to be big enough for all of us. There were about 12 of us and we all when upstairs to play some Xbox. We switched on and off playing video games for about an hour and then we all started to say we were hungry. Sean, whose house we were at, said he was gonna go ask about ordering
I have heard the phrase, “life isn’t easy”, so many times in my life. And I finally realized the truth in it.
On March 4th, 2018, I, Officer Albert, was working as a Police Officer for the Wichita State University Police Department. At approximately 0150 hours I was dispatched to Shocker Hall for a suspicious character report. The suspicious character was a white male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt riding a skateboard. I arrived at approximately 0151 hours on the south side of Shocker Hall and walked down the south steps towards the courtyard. Officer Andrew Abbey was on scene talking with an individual fitting the suspicions character description, see Officer Abbey's report. I spoke with the individual later identified as Tyler Micol Dane Kuhn. Kuhn's eyes were glassy and his pupils were large. Kuhn's hands were shaking and he seemed confused. Kuhn wasn't able to
When in the course of college academics it becomes necessary to type personal narratives, without so much as a hint of a topic, it can drive a student to some rather interesting conclusions. Some of these conclusions may be as simple as “Hmm, what should I write about?” Or perhaps more complicated and “Great, it’s 2:00 A.M. the day the paper is due and I have nothing typed.” No matter the situation the creative thinking process can be greatly limited, thus I present to you the narrative of me typing my personal narrative essay.
cancer is the enemy. cncer kills over 20 thousand people a day occording to global report. this terrole disease is so common 12.7 million people a year find out they have cancer and of that number rouggly 7.6 million die. cancer being the leading cause of death world wide has led to several fundraisers to support our courageous fighters. a fundrauser i have been lucky enough to participate in is a 5k run/3k walk. i was 13 when i partocipated in my first 5k run/3k walk in stuttgart germany for a light the night for all kinds of cancers. pervous to the fundraiser i was sadly told my cousin who was just a baby at the tome had been diagnosed with luekimia. immediately i wanted to help, i began by spreading the word around my school and having my friends buy tshirts titled
Being healthy and staying active is not something my family has been worried about. I have to be honest,I thought the same thing before I started wrestling. I ate anything I wanted too, I was not too active. I like to sleep in and play video games. I was out of shape and couldn’t run very far without losing my breath. This all changed when I started to wrestle.
As an only child, my family has always strived for the best. My mother and father being divorced, both, have invariably talked to me about the type of future I should aim for. They have also pushed me to do my absolute best, and have encouraged me to continue school. But I had not given much thought to what I wanted to study for in the future, until one day it hit me. This was the day my grandmother was having hip surgery. So my father and I decided to go to the hospital to visit her. While we were waiting to see her, a nurse came by to talk to us about her recovery. The nurse was dressed in cool scrubs, and I couldn’t help but ask a few questions about how she likes her job. She began to tell me how much she loves her career as a Registered
When I woke up that Tuesday morning in 7th grade, I thought it would be like any other day, until my head started excruciatingly pounding. Even worse, it didn’t go away. Something was wrong.
I came back home to pack my belongings in order to be hospitalized. I did not know whether I would ever be able to come back to my place with sound body. I sincerely regretted my drinking and smoking habit. Those bad habits may have triggered or helped development of the cancer. However, nothing much I could do at that moment. The only one I can rely on was God. I prayed and tried to stay strong and be focus on a miraculous recovery. However my situation did not get better. The flow of urine got weaker, and it took longer to empty my bladder. I had to go to the toilet frequently, because a little drop of urine kept trickle out and it stained underpants right after my toilet usage. I did not feel complete emptiness of my bladder. Yet I prayed
The color of the bright orange paper on my door captured my eyes as it waved in the wind. The eviction notice was scheduled for Monday, December 14th, 2008 two days before my ninth birthday. It wasn't my place to worry, so I handed it to my mother and continued on with my day. No one spoke about the notice for three days. On the afternoon of the 14th I got off the bus and saw our belongings outside the apartment.,It was at that moment I knew that the orange paper was something to have been worried about. We left eight years of memories behind in that apartment and built two months of new memories in a shelter.
Then the 134 arrived. I got on, showed my pass to the bus driver and
I’ve always dreamt of hiking a mountain in my lifetime, traveling to California constantly, and to eventually live there someday. My cousin, Kristen Burns, had been dating her boyfriend, Nate Colbert, for two years. On their regular morning hike at seven in the morning, in the mountains of Simi Valley, California, they decided to take a different trail on Mount McCoy. At the top of the trail, Nate got down on one knee and proposed to my cousin Kristen. Soon, I got a call from her. She told me the good news and caught my attention by surprise. She had asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding because of how close we have been my entire life, considering she is eleven years older than I. Her wedding was the following October, in 2016, but she had asked me to fly out in January to help her find the dress of her dreams.
Anyway after a couple of days of getting all settled and being stuck in the house, my older brother and I decided to go outside and ride our bikes up and down the street. when we got outside I noticed two kids playing next door. One was a little girl who looked to be about ten years old and the other was a little boy who looked like he was six years old. I noticed right away that the little girl was playing tea party at a table set up in her front yard. I kinda wanted to play with the little girl, but i didn’t know so I just kept riding my bike with my brother.
Every morning I wake up and walk the long twenty minutes through the lower east side to the upper east side of New York to my job as a criminal defense lawyer which I was graciously given by my father, one of the two partners of the firm. Straight out of law school, I was given a job at the top rated law firms in New York. Personally I think that there were more qualified graduates that are more skilled than me that should’ve gotten the job, but I had no other options and I started my work with high hopes of success. I intend not to exaggerate, but I have been experiencing many struggles since finishing high school regarding starting my life that I was mentally not prepared to take on. I use the long walk to work to attempt to ease my thoughts before taking on new cases or winning old ones.
It was a peaceful and quiet Sunday evening on the day of September 25, 2016. I was riding my bike home on a small road just west of the town of Kimberly. I had went to a Maverick gas station to get an Arizona Iced Tea and a bag of Lay's Jalapeño Kettle Cooked Chips. As I was riding my bike along, I noticed there wasn't many cars on the opposite side of the road, so I switched to the opposite bike lane. This is a decision I would come to regret.
People tell me I have bubbly handwriting, but It wasn't always so - well - bubbly.
