Alison by Rosalinda Quezada ¨RING RING¨ I was rushing to get to math class but I was too late. The day before I had spent all day taking care of my little brother Jesus and I wasn't able to do my homework, so I decided to do as much as I could during passing period. I got distracted with a math problem and I lost track of time.
“Ms.Jimenez you’re late.”,Mr.Perez said.
“Sorry Mr.Perez, it won’t happen again”,I responded.
Mr.Perez snickered and murmured something I wasn’t able to hear.
During the first few minutes in class we did warm-ups.
The rest of math class I couldn’t concentrate, it was like I was hypnotized. I kept thinking about my brother. Mrs.Juana was my brother’s babysitter but she was very old and slept almost

At the end of class Mr.Perez stopped me. “Ms.Jimenez I understand you told your mother that I didn’t pass out report cards.”,He said “She called me.” I took of running, I was flying even. When I got home my mom was already there. As I entered my room I saw my mom who was sitting on the bed crying. My report card was in her hand. Apparently my mom had decided to call Mr.Perez and when he told her he already had handed out report cards she went back home to see if she could find my report card. She had. “Why didn’t you tell me the truth?”,my mom asked. “Mom, you work two jobs and we still have money problems. I see that you're tired and stressed out, so I don’t tell you anything.”,I responded “Also, you get home late and well I don’t have time to do my homework since I clean, cook, and take care of my brother, and at school I don’t pay attention because I’m worried about the rent. My mom cried even more. “It’s all my fault!”,she cried. I reached over and hugged her. We ate in almost complete silence except for Jesus who was blabbering about food. After dinner we went to sleep. The next day when I got home from school my mom was already home and she had a cake with
“ Now Maddy, no more threatening other students. If you have a problem with someone talk with a teacher first.” she stated harshly. “ But I didn’t threaten her, she threatened me.” I exclaimed confused.
The principal then called my dad and told him all of what happened and I could have swore they were only on the phone for five minutes and my dad got there as soon as they hung up. My dad talked with the principal and the teacher for about ten minutes then we went home. I didn't go to school for the rest of the week and that saturday he went and bought a house here in Eastover and I
“I’m sorry Emily has been causing distractions in class,” mom said, “I will make sure that she is doing the extra work and is completing her homework every night.”
The bell had just rang, school was out. “Olivia, Mrs. Larsson calls.” Olivia is in 6th grade. Her teacher Mrs. Larsson talks to her every day after school telling her the same thing over and over. “You been misbehaving at lunch today”! But this time it was different. “Olivia it's your turn to stay after school and clean the room”. Olivia hated cleaning the room after school, she always ended up staying too late. “ Now run along and tell your mother, I don’t want her to worry like she did last time!” “Ok Mrs. Larsson.” I reply, I run to call my mom but she didn't answer, and my dad was at work so I couldn't call him. “Yup my mom knows.” I say, but she really didn't. “Ok then, well I am going to go home so behave yourself!” Mrs. Larsson says
she went to the school to talk to the the administration to when the soccor couch told her she
I went back inside through the back door of the house where the kitchen is. My mother was already there sitting near the kitchen table organizing bills and payments. I handed her the mail in disappointment. I walked away afterwards with such saddened movement towards the living room so I did not have to see her reaction when she opened the envelope of my mistakes. After sitting in the couch for awhile I realized I wasn’t hearing my name being strictly called, so I had
I was dropped off at the school and I shook with excitement. “Good luck and do your best!” my mother shouted in her usual high and happy voice as she sped off in our small Honda. I walked into the school gym and
of the bathroom I was still crying, one teacher saw me and just laughed. I don't know what my mom did

That night after school, my parents got an email from Mrs. Shelly. They were shocked to see that I would do such a thing. They were very disappointed at what I had done. My parents yelled at me that night until my ear were ripped out of my head.
I really enjoy doing my homework and learning but, I hate going to school to learn and get my homework. I moved to Vermont after eighth grade because my father got to move higher up at work. I don't know a lot about his job but, I didn't have a say. Back at home in Mississippi I didn't have a lot of friends. I had one named Lucy but when I told her I was going to move she said we weren't friends anymore. I'm starting high school now and I'm so scared to start over again. I love my new room the view is very pretty but, tonight I hate it because tomorrow is my first day of school.
The bell rang, Arnando had a test to take this morning and wasn't looking forward to it. He was worried that he wouldn’t get a superb grade as he had on past tests. Either way Arnando had to take the test and soon forgot, since he took it on a Friday and was oblivious by the time he was back in school. When Arnando came back to school,he was reminded about the assessment he had taken on Friday, when Mrs. Alexia announced she graded all the tests over the weekend. Arnando began to get a bit edgy and seemed to be worried about the current situation. Soon, Arnando was handed his test back, but the teacher didn’t say “Good job” when she had handed it back to him, like she usually did. When Arnando flipped over his paper, he saw the thing he feared would happen, actually happen. Arnando had received the worst grade he had ever gotten, a
My ears were hot from embarrassment and I slowly sipped my water. Really Sierra the lady was talking to you and all you could do was say uhhhh. Not only was I embarrassed but I was upset that I didn’t know Spanish but my dad did. My dad must have seen my face because he asked me why I was so quiet. “Why haven’t you taught me Spanish” I whispered just in case anyone knew that I couldn’t speak Spanish. “I don’t know, when you were a baby you didn’t want to learn” my father said half laughing. I gave him the death stare until the food came. The waitress spoke to my dad and his girlfriend in Spanish but when she got to me she spoke in English. This got me even more mad. I just ate my food wishing I could speak
When the bell rang, Hector and another student, Jose Cortez, walked with Riverside’s principal to Mrs. Robinson’s third grade classroom.
During my time at the school I had seriously considering moving to Oregon to live with my dad. Although in the beginning I was told that I could easlily transfer my credits I found out later that most if any at all wouldn't transfer to another school like Pima which I stated before was a local community college. My only real option was to transfer to another ITT, so when I looked into going to the one in portland to my surprise they also could not transfer all of my credits over and didn't even offer the same degree. They told me they could transfer me into a buisness management degree which was equivilant to the one I was getting now in game design to which I politely declined. The end result came down to me staying in Arizona or not completing
