3. Describe how the course has helped you improve as a leader This course has helped me improve as a leader and an overall individual in numerous ways. It has allowed me to assess my strengths and weaknesses as a leader, and has forced me to outline my goals as an individual, which will help aid me in achieving them. This course has also taught me to take action when possible. Allowing us as students to get up in front of the class each and every day to conduct reviews, share about our passions, or present on potential opportunities for other students has helped us tremendously. It has allowed us to gain experience in front of a large group of peers and superiors, and it has also allowed us to gain confidence as leaders. This course has also helped me become more self-aware. Knowing more about how I operate as a leader and a team member will allow me to avoid conflict and excel not only in my education, but in the workforce as well. By being more self-aware and by knowing my strengths and weaknesses, I have gained better complex problem solving skills, and I will continue to be more mindful and focused when dealing with stressful work conditions. This course has also helped empower me to succeed. It has proved to me that with hard work and dedication, I can achieve what I want to as a leader I have also enjoyed the discussion structure of this lecture. It allowed me to be more involved as a student, and feel less like I was being preached at. It allowed me to
Being in this class gave me insight on the way that I learn. I’ve had my share of jobs along with schooling and various other learning experiences. Some good, some bad but I can honestly say that I never noticed the pattern on how I learn. Now I know I learn more by being more of a hands on person. Also utilizing my thinking and problem solving skills has helped with my growth. I also found it important to use my reflective observation too. Mostly combining different learning styles have helped me in life to understand the way I learn and the benefits that could come if I use my strengths to further my ambitions.
The course has had the largest impact on me outside of the classroom with the intentional

When I started learning in Touro College, I didn’t know on which profession I wanted to focus. Therefore, I started asking my friends for advice. One said to be a special education teacher and the other friend I should be an accountant, but these jobs didn’t seem exciting for me. I wanted to enjoy my job and not work just for money. Then, a good friend of my mother’s suggested occupational therapy and she explained what the Occupational Therapist does, who the therapist works with, and it sounded interesting.
My goal is to learn as much as I can so that I am equipped to convert my role as the middle manager at my current organization to one that sits at the senior leadership table. I am looking forward to this course developing my critical thinking skills in preparation for my inevitable

Before this class, I had a very primitive and vague definition of leadership. Not only did I define it as per my views and ideologies, but I also said that each individual has their own definition of leadership. My initial belief was that leadership does not have a clear cut definition, but there were well defined leadership traits which made an individual. I also initially believed that personal traits did not translate into leadership traits with no strong correlation. After going through the various modules this class offered, it is safe to say that I have significantly redefined leadership and underwent a strong personal assessment. This paper talks what I took back from each of the class activities, assignments and how my self-assessment compares to the perception of others.
