How Should Football Be Banned

Every country has a sport that they find most interesting. Due to the nationwide involvement, this sport will result in a great amount of revenue, and a common form of entertainment. In America, it is evident that this sport is football. No other sport pulls in the same amount of revenue, media and nationwide attention than football does. It is popular in all age groups, and is the staple of sporting events to attend while students are in high school and college. Football is the greatest sport in America because of the business it has created, and the national draw that has developed from it.

Football, ever since it began, has had the constant question of should it be banned. Footballs origins began back in ancient Greece where even then it was known as a very rough and brutal game. When football came to England it was thought to be so rough that kings Henry II and Henry IV both actually banned it. A lot has changed since those times in history. Even though concussions are a major issue in the sport and causes students not to be able to do some of the curriculum in school. Football should be allowed at a high school level. Students do better in school so they can stay eligible to play in the sport. It also teaches valuable life skills. High school football has been in families and towns for years, even though the sport is under attack because it is slowly fading.

American Football is a huge spectator sport where offensive and defensive players will use teamwork and perseverance to try and score more points than their opponent. Football is highly respected in America, where boys will try and pursue the dream of playing in the NFL (National Football Association) someday; but if you look at an average neighborhood, you will find that kids and adults of all ages love to go out and throw around the pigskin. Even though football is not the safest sport, that does not mean it is too dangerous to ever play again. The game of football is an intense sport { even if you're a kicker ] but I do not think it should be banned . Banning football is like Prohibition , you will upset a lot of people and some will go crazy . There are plenty of sports that don't get banned like baseball . In baseball you could get hit with a pitch , get a bat flung at you , and get in a bench clearing brawl but no one makes a case about that . Football is a game I love to watch and play . People that do think football should be banned make good case about like long term illness such as CTE or ALS and could physically disable you . The reason you shouldn't ban football is that the game can teach young men { or women } life skills such as teamwork or trust and I believe every young man should play some form of football whether it's touch football , tackle football , or just throwing a ball around with your friends . Though some people can't play football because there parents won't let them or have a health issue but in my opinion everybody should be open to playing or watching football . Plenty of people hate football because it's too stressful but playing and watching football has taught me one thing about stress : Your stressed watching a game and you're not stressed playing in one .
