Respect means that no matter what happens or what someone does to you, there should be a level of understanding with everyone. You may not agree with a certain person on everything but you should still be civil with them. Disagreement and not understanding someone is what leads to most arguments. Respecting someone’s beliefs, values, and wishes could change the way you get along with everyone in your life. Respect helps you maintain relationships with others(Ethos), value yourself(Pathos), and work well with others(Logos). Respect helps you maintain relationships with others because it makes them feel that you care. It also helps you see into someone's thoughts and you may be able to understand their actions better by being able to understand
RESPECT mean that we need to be nice to each other and help each other when people need it. Me and my sisters try to be nice to each other but when we don’t we call each other names but I notice that when we need thing we need things we apologize. We try to respect each other but sometimes we just don’t care.
Respect is very important both in the military and in the civilian world. In most cases, people can easily tell when someone respects them or not. Once they feel that they are being respected, they can instill more trust into a person, respect them back, and take what the person says to heart. They can put faith into that person. Once we earn someone’s respect, it is much easier to gain his or her cooperation. It is much easier to have them support us and take our sides. We don’t have to put as much effort in to getting them to listen to an order or doing what they are told. Respect must be EARNED. You must provide someone with your respect before they show you the same respect. This is what I mean by earning it. I do not believe that respect can be demanded or forced. Demanding someone’s respect will most likely lead to some type of conflict. Respect
Respect is something as simple as treating everyone equally regardless of age, colour, weight, beliefs, gender, sexual orientation and so on. If Irene is respected, she will feel more comfortable in her environment and less stressed (Gallagher, 2007).
It is important to allow someone to know that you respect them. It will ease the conversation and create trust. Behavior and attitude will allow the person demanding respect to feel that respect. When we respect each other, there are fewer conflicts. People get along easier and avoid the unnecessary drama associated with a lack of respect.
Everyone wants to be respected. It’s in our nature, but in order to obtain respect, first of all one has to respect oneself. Second, one has to show respect to others in order to gain respect from them. If one doesn’t show respect to someone, that person may often feel blown off and lose respect for you. Respect in my eyes is like a math equation loyalty plus duty equals respect. respect is gained in conducting ones self in a way that others can stand
Respect is an important element in effective communication, and the development of a relationship. Actively listening to another person’s point of view or opinion, remembering personal details, showing an interest and responding in an appropriate manner, all show that you have listened and placed importance upon what has been said, which leads to positive relationships and respectful, effective communication.
Showing respect to someone means you act in a way that shows you care about their feelings and well-being. I define respect as the ability to recognize and regard a person's boundaries, limits, and autonomy in both their personal and professional spheres of life. Appropriate interactions are based on this definition of respect. A senior
In other cases respect is earned, and not given. What I mean by this is that, sometimes people must gain the respect of others. This can be earned in many ways, like being respectful of others, being the best you can be, and doing kind things for others. This respect can cause people to look up and follow in example of someone, and eventually making you an example for others to follow and look up to, on so on and so forth.
Respect is holding something or someone in high regard. Respect has an impact on all aspects of my life, both personally and professionally. As a personal value, respect is twofold; I must respect everyone around me as well as respecting myself. I will demonstrate respect for others by treating everyone equally and without judgement. I will listen and be considerate of the opinions and values of others, regardless of conflicting opinions. I will respect myself by dressing modestly and not objectifying myself as a woman. I will not engage in any unethical behaviour that may compromise my personal morals and values.
Most people go through life and always hear about the word respect, but they don’t know what it means. Respect is the esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person. There are things in life you need to hold in respect. Respect for yourself, respect for others, and respect for property. Respect is taught to people everywhere and it is even taught to them in their religions. Respect is the very aspect that keeps everything in your life.
It's pretty interesting to hear that in your house Sir or Ma'am had to be used. In my house and the area where I lived, if you used Sir or Ma'am, you would have offended the person. We did call other parents by their formal name though, Mr. and Mrs. Still to this day, at 25 years of age, I still call my friends parents by their formal name rather than their first names. I do agree that respect is an important aspect within any profession and between colleagues as well as patients or clients. Without respect, a facility may never grow and therefore never have a future. It is important that a certain level of respect is maintained to ensure for business as well as employees that enjoy their job. I think it’s very important to understand the
Respect shows the inner-self’s esteem of excellence to a person. Respect gives personality out to an adult or another person. Respect
You may not notice it, but respect plays a role in our daily lives. Respect follows you wherever you go. Whether it is in school, your home, or in a restaurant. You may not notice it that other people give you respect, but you do notice when they don’t. Even for the simplest reasons. If you are not respectful than you will not be respected.
Respect is an important value to be taught when growing up. Through the years I have learned that in order to learn anything you must have respect for others. I have learned many valuable lessons from listening to my grandmother. She has told me many of her experiences, which has made me a better person. Having respect for other people has allowed me to be more open-minded and see qualities in people that most would not. I have always listened to what my friends and family has to say. That doesn’t always mean that I agree with them, but it is their opinion, so I respect it. In return I receive respect from them. As people begin to respect me more their trust in me also grows.
