Walt Disney effected most Americans, weather during his lifetime or after. He engaged audiences of all ages with his creations. The public adored Mickey Mouse debut in 1928s Steamboat Willie. Walt continued off this sensational hit with Silly Symphonies in 1929. Silly Symphonies does no only feature Mickey, but Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto. He also took part in World War II by making cartoons. One of these cartoons was Der Fuehrer’s Face, where we see Donald Duck dream of being in a world controlled by Nazis. He starts off his day by saying Hail Hitler and eating a less than adequate breakfast then going to work in a heavily guarded factory. Der Fuehrer’s Face won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Subject in 1943. Mr. Disney also created training films for the army. One of these training films is Stop that Tank! Where it demonstrates how to use the Anti-Tank Rifle in an amusing fashion. …show more content…

He produced the first sound and music cartoon which was Steamboat Willie. Not too not too long after that he created Silly Symphony named Flowers and Trees, which was the first cartoon to be made in color and win an Oscar. In 1937 Walt Disney produced the first full-length animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It was a humongous success, winning eight Oscars despite the dilemma the country was in. Five years after Snow White’s premiere he release four more classical films which were Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, and Bambi. After a major setback in 1941 Disney went back to making feature length films in 1950 which brought about Cinderella, a live-action film called Treasure Island, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, and 101 Dalmatians. The last major production under Walt Disney was Mary Poppins in 1964. It was a mix of animation and live action, like Who Framed Roger
