The famous Greek philosopher Epicurus said “He who is not satisfied with a little, is satisfied with nothing” however today it’s because of the Industrial Revolution that society isn’t satisfied with the little and this has had a major negative impact on humanity.
Changes in class and family structures that we see today have had a major negative impact on the social and emotional wellbeing of people today.
As a direct result, the Industrial Revolution Global inequality is growing today, with half the world’s wealth now in the hands of just 1% of the population an imbalance that would have been impossible before the Industrial revolution. The gap between social classes has grown greater than any time in history, with a tiny class of aristocrats

Women too today take up more employment opportunities than any time before and this has changed the dynamic of the household, often with the child left in the care of strangers while their parents are working a scenario that would have been unthinkable before the Industrial Revolution and something that has negatively impacted on society and the quality of family life.
The Industrial Revolution has also led to an explosion of artificial structures being put in place today to make people conform so that they are more effective workers and can create greater wealth for their employers, such as regulated working hours, dress codes and schools that serve to educate children with the skills to be effective workers but also the social skills to be compliant in the workplace.
The evidence highlights how the Industrial Revolution has massively disrupted people's social and emotional wellbeing. As a result, people who have lost the structure of ties to family and those that have become forced into a life of debt have become susceptible to suicide, with the first world today having the highest rates of suicide of any time in
Women are sometimes more nurturing than some men when it comes to taking care of their family members or children. When a woman becomes pregnant they receive a maternity leave which also puts a hold on their income, making it easier for the man of the household to have a higher paying job (Joan Acker, 1989). Another example, when a child of a family gets sick most of the time the woman is the one to leave work early and stay home with the child. Some job sites have paid maternity leave but then many do not. Women have greater recourse to part-time work so they can combine work and family responsibilities (Joan Acker, 1989). During the older days, women were not allowed to enter professions such as medicine or law, married women had no property rights, they were not allowed to vote, married women were not even present in the eyes of the law. From then to now a lot has changed but women still are not
The Industrial Revolution marked a monumental shift in human history, providing glorious wealth and opportunities for some, but for others, the Industrial Revolution was hell on Earth. These positives and negatives are covered throughout Document One by Fredrikke Palmer, Document Two by William Blake, Document Five by Leonard Deming, Document Six by Jacob Riis and Jessie Tarbox Beals, and Document Seven by Szreter S. and Mooney G. The rapid economic growth caused by industrialization had tremendous negative as well as positive effects on the quality of life for humans.
Although the Industrial Revolution had many good things about it, it has more negative things than positive. The Industrial Revolution has more negative than positive. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because of medical advances it was actually a negative thing for society. Industrialization’s negative effects were pollution a danger to environments, harsh working hours, and child labor.
At one point, Industrialization had a very negative impact on society. It had affected many people’s lives in a very gloomy way. While some people might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive effects for society because there was better business and financial opportunities it was actually a negative thing for society. Industrialization’s negative effects were unsafe working conditions, bad employers, and many people were separated from their families.
The Industrial Revolution was a major turning point in history that took place between 1760 and the mid 1800’s. During this time frame, a variety of different machines were invented and put in factories to make workers and everyday people’s lives easier. These machines had to be run by people such as women and even children because the men were mostly in coal mines. Some of the many negative consequences about these new jobs and new machines being invented were; child labor, physical abuse on the job, and unsafe working conditions. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because more jobs became available, it was actually a negative thing.
The Industrial Revolution occurred in Britain and America around the late 1700’s to 1900. This revolution improved the production of goods using new mechanisms and machines. Human labor was in high demand in order for the highest production rates. Factories employed low to middle-class people that were as young as three years old (Document 9). These workers were benefited with money, shelter, and clothes, but the working and living conditions were not satisfying. The average industrial worker experienced a variety of factors that can be classified as good or bad, including the positive effects of labor, like the shelter, money, and food they were given; and the negative effects of the factory,
While some might argue that industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because economic growth, it was actually a negative thing for society. Industrialization’s negative effects were bad living situation, no education for children, and poor salary.
The Industrial Revolution was a huge turning point in history. The place where the Industrial Revolution began was in Great Britain because they had many natural resources and a strong economy. By the 1850’s many country villages had grown into industrial towns and cities, and their inhabitants bought food and clothing in stores that offered a large variety of machine-made goods. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society because of poor working conditions, it was actually a positive thing for society. Industrialization’s positive effects were transportation became more efficient, more jobs were available, and more inventions were created.
Noise, smells, and injuries replaced people’s normal lives during the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution was a transition of new manufacturing from the late 1700s to the early 1800s. Many inventions were created during this time to improve the average person’s everyday life. Unfortunately, the people that had to work through the revolution to improve others’ lives were put through perilous situations. These people that worked in the factories with all of the new inventions included men, women, and even children. The Industrial Revolution may have been worth while, however there were negative and positive ramifications to achieve the success.
From the 1900s until present day many opportunities and movements have opened up to women. Women continuously strived to have equality among men. Now that we have the equality, roles of women and men have changed. One thing that has struck me odd are how women actually choose to go to work than stay home with their children. I would love to say home with them and do a “woman’s job”, but now I can even say that because it could offend someone. Things have changed for the good and some for the bad.
I think it's dumb how people tend to act or treat others different jus because of their level of social class that makes them feel like they can draw a line and divide themselves that want to be more than others but at the end of the day we are all humans and one day we will die. Social classes are not good or have any positive outcomes. Social classes effect the young generations, if you are low or middle class they want everything they see on the rich but they cant understand sometimes life is hard and when you grow in a low income family you cant get always what you want to have to work hard for it in the other hand there is the rich kids who get whatever they want and don't have to work for it because its handed easily to them.
"We are shaped by society 's structures," is the primary concept of the idea developed by C. Wright Mills (Henslin). In this paper, I will demonstrate how my social class affected my family life and education.
The Industrial Revolution could possibly be the most important event in the history of our world. Before it, people worked mostly on farms or sold things through the market that were hand crafted. This revolution brought about great change in the ways that we produce goods and the economies of the world. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society because of the rough working and living conditions, it was actually a positive thing for society. Industrialization’s positive effects were an increased standard of living, better means of travel, and more developed countries with better economies.
societal ladder Times have changed since then, but social class is still a major factor to people’s success.
Which social class do you belong to? Social classes, the building blocks of status all around the world. They have been a significant part of history for many years. As a way of life for many people around the world, the ones born in higher classes got thrones while others work as servants. The social classes, which are prominent in today’s world, are the upper class, middle class, and lower class. The upper class has people with the most money out of the three groups and consists of the smallest population. The lower class makes the least amount, however, they have the largest population. The middle class, of course, is a good medium between the two, even though they still work under the upper class. Nonetheless, social classes shouldn’t divide people by allowing a group of people seem more superior than the rest and get rid of equality for everyone.
