his plays were performed from place to place for the poor, common and fickle minded people. those days people were so much indulged in the daily work, that they had no time for entertainment. Shakespeare begin writing and performing plays to bring entertainment for those people using sometimes slangs and fouly terms to make plays spicy.
Shakespeare was a writer of many plays like Romeo and Juliet, or Hamlet but, some people believe that he did not write his plays. In some of the sources they would explain that shakespeare couldn't have wrote the plays. The others sources say otherwise, they say that he could easily imagine how it would be like to be rich and their for him being able to write the plays. From all the evidence that the sources gave, Shakespeare did not or could not write his plays because he was not educated well enough to be able to write the plays with such sophisticated language another reason that Shakespeare was not the writer there's not enough evidence such as copies of the plays.
As philosopher Sissela Bok once said, "Liars share with those they deceive the desire not to be deceived." This insight on the nature of humans shows astounding similarities to how Abigail Williams acted throughout The Crucible. Written by Arthur Miller in 1953, Miller used his play to show similarities between the Salem Witch Trials and Joseph McCarthy's ideal of "McCarthyism", and prove that McCarthy was framing him. Miller wrote this as a play in order for the reader to develop a full understanding of his hidden message. Taking place in Salem, Massachusetts in the year of 1692, the Salem Witch Trials helped create parallels to what was occurring in 1953. In The Crucible, Abigail Williams is the most despicable character in the play because of the lies which led to the deaths of many townspeople.
William Shakespeare wrote plays that covered the breadth of human experience, which seem to have transcended the restraints of age because they contain universal themes. His body of his work is comprised of genres of plays, which varied from tragedies to comedies.
William Shakespeare born on April 23, 1564 contributed deeply to the innovated speech on the subject of playwriting, poetry, and acting. Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, northwest of London. When Shakespeare was eighteen he married Anne Hathaway and had three children. The majority of Shakespeare's life was not just spent in school but in the theatre world in London were he had found and started venturing into the writing profession by the early 1590s. Shakespeare was ambitious when it came to the theatre and always strived for success not only was he a play writer but as an actor. The duration of 1610 to 1613 it was said that Shakespeare had retired from the stage and returned home to Stratford-upon-Avon where he died in 1616. Shakespeare had part taken in many educational institutions, Shakespeare had combined the poetic approach with a practical sense of the theatre. Shakespeare had a innovative mindset when inventing words from Latin, French and Native origins. Shakespeare had written thirty plays, the plays created in the time period were divided into four categories: Comedies, Histories, Romances, and Tragedies. Therefore it can be inferred that the four categories were influenced from some events during Shakespeare's life which caused him to create those genres of plays. During the author's life time there were certain events which influenced the writing of Macbeth.
Masculinity is a socially constructed practice that guarantees the domination of men and the subordination of women. This practice has been looked at as a superior “force of nature” in literature for years and years, and Frederic Henry from A Farewell to Arms, by Ernest Hemingway, McMurphy from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, by Ken Kesey, and Joe from Their Eyes Were Watching God, by Zora Neale Hurston, all use their masculine identity as a way to gain and maintain power, both subconsciously and consciously. Masculinity and the supposed traits that come along with it, such as the right to power and the right to use violence, are used as means to find fulfillment and success. Henry considers masculinity to be the ultimate stressor of personal autonomy; he consciously commits himself to masculine acts (suppression of emotion, fighting in war) in order to be considered a dominant figure. McMurphy views the feminine as destructive to men and fights back in an attempt to defeat the “Combine,” or cold war society, that suppresses masculine identity and heteronormative sexual performance. Joe uses the practice of masculinity to justify acts of violence against women: as the supreme being, he can control the weaker gender for his benefit.
Given the religious turmoil of the time and the horrendous executions to criminals, why did William Shakespeare choose to mostly write comedies? Did Shakespeare not understand the mood of society, or perhaps did he write exactly the type of plays that everyone needed to see? To fully understand why William Shakespeare chose to write of amusing scenarios, its important to know what society in his time was like: sorrowful, argumentative, but also enlightening. Amidst the troubles of religion and despairing sights of death, theater rose to the top of many people’s hearts.
William Shakespeare moved to London. This is where he became an actor. He later had a theater built called the Globe where he had many of his plays performed. He has written around 38 plays, some of these plays are well known and famous. Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet are very well known. William Shakespeare was one of the best actors, poets, and playwrights during the Elizabethan time period because his plays were well-written on the major theme of true love.
Shakespeare was one of the best English playwrights of the Renaissance. During his lifetime he wrote 37 plays and 154 sonnets and in many these he uses paradoxes, oxymorons and puns for comedic relief and to describe characters. Shakespeare uses juxtapositions to show the details and emotions of complex characters in Romeo and juliet.
He must have been comical during his life due to evidence found in Taming of the Shrew and his other comedies. While his comedic writings are not laugh out loud funny, they do have wit to them which makes them funny. He also was probably a slight romantic. In Romeo and Juliet, love is portrayed. Romeo and Juliet tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers who were just never meant to be. Shakespeare composed what is considered one of the greatest love stories ever. So, he is widely considered a romantic. Lastly, Shakespeare had to be well versed in human nature. He touched on a variety of topics all throughout his plays. These include love, greed, disguise, misfortune, and death among others. In order to have written on such a variety of topics, it can only be assumed that he was knowledgeable about many different walks of life. Therefore, his writings tell things about him we would not have known
Many people believe that Shakespeare wrote his own plays and many people do not. The author of article Read claims, "Some of Shakespeare's plays took place outside of London but Shakespeare never traveled outside of London. Shakespeare only had a few legal documents with his handwriting and his plays were written by a different hand. Also people say that the plays was wrote by a scholar and there is no proof that Shakespeare ever attended school" (Fraser). People who do not believe it was Shakespeare who wrote the plays think it was Sir Francis Bacon, Christopher Marlowe, or Edward de Vere. So the real question is: did Shakespeare really write his own plays or did someone else? It is Edward de Vere that wrote Shakespeare.
Shakespeare's world was way different then ours today, because play writers didn't have as many resources to go off of then we have today, 2ed the actors in Shakespeare's day were always in danger, 3ed singing was a big part of that day and age.
Lamb to the Slaughter, by Roald Dahl, is a classic tale of suspense, tension and dramatic irony. In the novel, on page 2, it says, “This is going to be a big shock to you, I’m afraid,’ he said. ‘But I’ve thought about it a good deal, and I’ve decided that the only thing to do is to tell you immediately.’ And he told her. It didn’t take long, four or five minutes at most, and she sat still through it all, watching him with puzzled horror.” This quote is a good example of how the novel builds suspense and tension because the readers do not know what the character, Patrick, told his wife, Mary. Before this scene, Patrick was acting different, like something was wrong. The news he gives his wife upsets her so much that she murders him with a leg of lamb. The author leaving us barely any knowledge of why Mary killed Patrick adds a lot of suspense and tension for the

Shakespeare as a playwright is able to manipulate the characters within his works and in performances by assigning them lines and stage directions. Shakespeare’s famous plays were performed during his time in the Globe theater. Shakespeare started out as an actor, but enjoyed directing and seeing his works come to life on the stage. As Rollert argues in “Shakespeare and The Theater of the Self”,
William Shakespeare is a renowned poet, playwright and actor. Many believe that he was the most zealous writer in the English language and also the most significant playwright in history. Shakespeare embarked on issues that everyone could relate to, hence, his stylistic techniques appeal to an extensive audience.
