Osama bin Laden tore apart the world in 2001, leaving a lasting effect on America. He was very well known, but for the wrong reasons. Osama bin Laden was from a rich family in Saudi Arabia. However, instead of doing good things, he became a leader in a violent group called Al-Qaeda. This group did terrible things, like planning the 9/11 attacks in the United States. Osama bin Laden's leadership in the 9/11 attacks reshaped global security and led to widespread efforts to fight terrorism. Osama bin Laden was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1957. He fought alongside mujahideen fighters against the Soviet occupation, which was supported by the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.
