One major part of her health care policy is that she seeks to improve rather than remove the Affordable Care Act (Clinton). The ACA has given many people the chance to have insurance, especially those who would have never had a chance due to preexisting conditions. It has also allowed parents to keep their children on their insurance up to age 26. Clinton recognizes the importance of the ACA, but she also sees rising costs that make it very difficult for many Americans to afford insurance. To combat rising costs, Clinton wants to increase tax credits and get insurance companies to seek enrollment more intensely which would lower costs in regards to the ACA (Clinton).

The Democrat said that, “affordable health care is a basic human right”("Should All Americans Have the Right (Be Entitled) to Health Care?”). Over the years, Hillary Clinton has led the fight to expand health care for Americans who are, for any reason, unable to access it. In the 1990’s, insurance companies tried to stop Clinton from making healthcare affordable for everyone, but she continued to push her opinion on health care and now over eight million children are covered. The former Secretary of State and Senator from New York has very clearly mapped out her plan for health care if she becomes president. Clinton will expand the Affordable Care Act, which currently covers twenty million and counting, and she will support letting citizens fifty-five years and older buy medicare. She will reduce the cost of prescription drugs, so the underprivileged will have access to the medicine they need to take care of themselves and their families. Clinton will also allow healthcare to every family no matter their race or immigration status, and change many other things about the health care policy. At this college Hillary was the first student to be elected from classmates as the student speaker. When Hillary finished college at Wesley she decided to go onto Yale law school. She was one of the twenty-seven girls in her graduating class. While in Law school she met and started dating Bill Clinton. When she completed law school she decided to go work for the children defense fund instead of going to work for a big law firm where she could have been more successful. At this new position, she went door to door listening to countless stories of people about the lack of schooling for children with disabilities. By Hillary helping gather this information she was a big part of the passage that required states to provide quality education for children with disabilities. Hillary then later went on and served on the congressional committee and helped in the investigation of president Nixon. Hillary then decided to move to Arkansas. The current presidential election of the United States sure is a strange one this year. It’s also very historical being that the new president either could be a woman, which would be a first, or a billionaire with seemingly no political knowledge. I’m going to tell you why either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump is best and why.

Taking action to support a cause you believe in is a very noble and heart-warming action to be a part of. Not only taking action, but taking action in your own community where you can see the potential results of your deeds. It isn’t easy to take action and try and create an impact, but it is rewarding and worth every second. This is true especially when it comes to taking action against gender violence. Being a woman has led to gender violence having a huge impact on my life as well as the other women I know, along with the rest of the women in the world. Gender violence is one of the biggest hindrances to our society and taking any action big or small is a step towards ending gender violence. Within this essay I will explain the action I took against gender violence in my community as well as how I was inspired through educational texts to do this action in the first place.

Violence is one of the leading causes of death for women ages 14-44 (Clinton). Unfortunately, the majority of the perpetrator’s are their own husband, relative’s, and neighbors, people they know and trust. Many women have to live in fear of their communities because of these events. Clinton also brought attention to the reality of rape of women in wars. Before our first black president can leave his 8 year long reign, we must first elect our next head of state. Our two most endorsed candidates have extremely conflicting stances and back grounds. While some people might think that Donald Trump is the better candidate because of his successful fiscal background, Hillary is the only choice.
