A family member that goes to war is missed severely, even if they do get killed. The anxiety that takes over your body is almost unbearable. Just imagine how anxious Anne Frank was; when she when she went into hiding when the Holocaust began during WWII. Anne Frank was significant because she accomplished writing a book from her journal that she never knew would be a book, teaching us how hard her life was when a draconian leader was in power, and her journal made a huge impact on society.
Anne Frank wrote a book from her journal that she wrote during the Holocaust, not knowing anyone would find it, or even publish it. Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt, Germany (Gale). Anne Frank died March/April 1945 by the disease called

A poem written by John Donne called “No Man is an Island” has a quote that agrees with most of Anne Frank’s thoughts. “Any man’s death diminishes me, every man is a piece of the continent (Donne).” Anne Frank wrote in a very similar way as this, in her journal she asks what is the point of the war, asking why can’t people live peacefully together, which makes a connection to John Donne’s “No Man is an Island.” “In 2013 Frank's diary was the subject of a censorship battle in Michigan. The mother of a female student at a Michigan school filed a formal complaint to have the definitive edition of the diary banned from Michigan schools. The definitive edition contains material that was deleted from the 1947 version of the diary. The mother claimed that the definitive edition contains pornographic descriptions of the human body. Free speech campaigners protested the mother's complaint. According to the Guardian, a Michigan school committee rejected the complaint, ruling that banning the diary "would effectively impose situational censorship." The National Coalition Against Censorship supported the school district's decision (Gale).” Whether the journal made a bad impact or good is an opinion like this one from this mother in 2013. It did make an impact to show why war isn’t good, what can happen when war goes too far, or someone like that gets into power. Though this journal does show why war must continue, for the protection of innocent lives from the crooked leaders in this
Anne Frank Was a teenage Jewish girl and was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. Anne Frank and her family went hiding in a secret attic in the Amsterdam office building where Mr.Frank had worked. They were joined by the Van Daans and Mr. Dussel.
Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of Otto and Edith Frank. Anne and her sister Margot grew up in Germany, but before World War II Anne Frank and her family went into hiding in Amsterdam for two years. During World War II Adolph Hitler killed nearly six million Jews.
Since Anne Frank died at an early age of 15, her early life was basically all of her life. Anne was born on June 12th 1929 in Frankfurt Germany. Her parents Otto and Edith Frank had one other daughter before Anne whose name was Margot Frank. Anne and her family had to go into hiding due to Germany, which was led by the Nazis, invaded the Netherlands. On July 6th 1942 Anne and her family hid in a secret annex of a building. Since Anne had to hide she had ample time to write in her diary.
Jews have perished because of their beliefs since the beginning of time but never have so many Jews been persecuted worldwide as they were in World War II. Anne Frank’s diary reaches a place within all of our hearts because it reminds us how easily the innocents can suffer. Sometimes we may choose to close our eyes or look the other way when unjustifiable things happen in our society and Anne’s tale reminds us that ignorance, in part, claimed her life. Sadly, her story is but one of many of those who died in the Holocaust and as with other Jews, her fate was determined by the country she lived in, her sex and her age.
Frank “kept a diary” where she just wrote all the “horror of war” but also through the changes of a teenager goes through and basically her childhood was not a typical childhood that now a days children have. They had a leader where at a certain time she was able to be outside, they were told what to eat and what not to, and just the fact that her parents had to leave her and her older sister at one of the people who he worked for. Anne Frank did not write other controversial book because basically her diary was just where she expressed her feelings and just what she was going through. However, many readers did take this novel positive because they took it as a “lesson” and did not care if it was to sexual or to violence or to depressing either way we live in a world where we have all those things happening , but she taught us how to fight it and protect ourselves from
In the news article, ¨The Controversy over Anne Frank's Legacy,¨ published by JTA, and written by Toma Nugend, I agree with what is being said about Anne Frank during the Holocaust. I agree because, although Anne did live in hiding with little food and more people than the annex could have fit, she did have a safe place to stay and much more food to eat than others during her stay in the annex. Anne did not experience as much as others did during the Holocaust. There were some who were in the camps for much longer than Anne was and didn’t have the luxury of staying in hiding for two years with people helping them on the outside. I think if some of the things that were kept out of the diary, ended up staying in the diary or if she was allowed
Anneliese Marie Frank was born in Frankfurt, Germany, June 12, 1929 (History.com). Anne Frank lived a quiet normal life attending school and having fun with all the other kids. The Franks were driven into hiding on July 14th, 1942 when Anne Frank’s sister Margot got a call to report to a work camp (Thoughtco.com). The family quickly packed and went into hiding. Otto Frank, Anne Franks father, owned a warehouse into which the family quickly departed. In just a day they had moved into a hidden room in the warehouse called the secret annex hidden by a movable bookshelf (See Figure 1).
Anne Frank was a Jewish/ German girl who was born in 1929 on June 12th. While in hiding, Anne kept a diary of her time spent in closed quarters trying to survive with seven other people. In the diary, she recorded her growth emotionally and all the stress that was put on her. After two years in hiding they were captured by the Nazis. While they were being captured, the diary was scattered on the floor. The Nazi’s took it and preserved it until the war was over. The pages of the diary were given to Anne’s father, Otto Frank, the only person to
“I hope I shall be able to confide in you completely, as I have never been able to do in anyone before, and I hope that you will be a great support and comfort for to me” ( Frank). Anne Frank, short for Anneliese Marie Frank, was born in 1929, and died around 1945. Her father, Otto Frank, was born in 1889 and died in 1980, and was a prosperous businessman. On January 30, 1933, Hitler had taken over Germany. Anne and her family were Jewish, and they were forced to move to a new place for a new life. Anne Frank was a victim of the holocaust, and she would later use her experience before, during, and after WWII to illustrate through her writing, the thought of a teenager during a time war.
Readers around the world today can still connect to Anne Frank’s feelings and her experiences. Anne Frank was, above all else, a normal teen. Or at least she was trying to be one. And that is what so many people can relate to. She had many battles with her mother, just like a normal teen. She even tried to have dates with Peter, like a normal teen. And she did all of this in the Annex with her family and friends around her, for two years! Most of the world could not do what Anne did.
Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany to Otto and Edith Frank, who were German-Jewish. Anne had a older sister named Margot Frank. Frank was born 4 years prior to the Holocaust, causing her, her family’s, and many others lives to change forever.
Storoies has been born during the Holocaust, Anne Frank's was one of them. She was a Jewish young teenage girl who lived in Amsterdam, Holland. When the Nazis occupyed Holland, she went into hinding with her family in 1942 when her sister, Margot was called up to a concentration camp. A few other Jews has joined them later on. After more than a year of hiding, they were discovered in 1944 and were seperated during transitions to camps. Anne and Margot stayed together but died in 1945 of typhus, only a few weeks before their camp was liberated. In fact, the whole Frank family didn't survive except for Otto Frank, Anne's father. Otto Frank returned to Amsterdam and later found out that Anne had kept a diary the whole time they were in hiding. The diary survived because of Meip, a guardian of the Secret Annex, she saved it for Anne after
Anne Frank was like any normal girl she had a family and she went to school and did what she loved but by early July of 1942 the Franks oldest daughter Margot ended up getting a letter saying that they want her to report to work camp in Germany, because the family got that letter they had to go into hiding. They only were in hiding for 2 years before they were caught in 1944, and were sent to concentration camp, sadly all of the frank family died except the father Otto Frank. Anne frank's diary was published in 1947 and translated into almost 70 languages, Anne Frank was a bright young girl who inspires many of us today and has made us realise how
The Holocaust was one of the most tragic event in history when about six million Jews lost their lives to the Nazi. It was a very tragic and evil thing that the Nazi’s did. However, a Jewish girl, Anne Frank, said this: “In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart.” Through everything Anne and her family went through, she always saw the good in things. After reading the play about her diary, I would have to agree with Anne’s quote. One of the main reasons I am agreeing with Anne is the kind and selfless thing that she did for her family and the people in the Annex on Hanukkah. However, I can see why you might disagree with Anne and myself by Mr. Van Daan and his selfish and unkind actions.
Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt, Germany on June 12, 1929. She had only one sibling, Margot her older sister. Her parents, Edith and Otto Frank, raised in a Jewish and non-Jewish people. The Franks where fairly wealthy because Otto’s successful business, so money was never a problem. The first Nazi threats were made when Anne was only four years old. Around that time Edith and Otto decided it was no longer safe where they
