British dominance over China- it led to the ultimate collapse of the centuries-old Qing Dynasty, and more than two millennia of dynastic rule. It convinced China that it had to modernize and industrialize. The United States and China Relation started since 1784, but it wasn’t until 1970’s when The United States finally recognize the communist people from China. This led us to be influenced by their culture, politics, but the most important economically. The relation of these two countries was not so good at the beginning, since China is a communist country that was involved with many countries that were in war. The interaction of these countries goes back to 1785 when the first Chinese sailors arrived to Baltimore looking for wealth and then it increases in 1847 with the Gold Rush in San Francisco that attracted many Asian Immigrants in look for new opportunities. On June 5, 1989, soldiers and tanks from China's People’s Liberation Army physically oppressed the student led protesters. The events surrounding this day are referred to as the Tiananmen Square Protest of 1989, a democracy movement calling for political and social reforms in the Republic of China. The deaths that occurred as a consequence of the Tiananmen Square Protest was not the fault of the students, but rather, the disastrous situation of China beforehand, the common belief that demonstrations would succeed, and the government’s obstinate decisions.

Through these policies, Canada will create a long-term framework for the bilateral liaison with China. To achieve sustainability and results, these policies need to have flexibility to evolve with time. However before commissioning new policies, it is important that Canadians understand and appreciate Chinese culture.

Though termed the Tiananmen Square Massacre, this incident actually took place throughout China. What started out as a peaceful protest calling for political and economic reforms, soon turned to bloodshed. (Hu 2015)This greatly impacted China's international relationships. Contact between China and Western nations declined, official visits were suspended. Western powers imposed arms embargoes and economic sanctions, preventing the sale of military equipment, and approval of loans. (The National Bureau of Asian Research) Understanding the causes of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, and its effects on China’s international relationships, aids in better understanding the nuances of this infamous incident.

In the autobiography of Frederick Douglass; he talked about how hard it was growing up in the south as an African American slave, trying to learn how to read and write. When I was reading Douglass's story; it kept bringing me back to how harsh my high school years were. In high school, I wasn't accepted by many of the students and was racially profiled and labeled because of my ethnicity. Douglas’s autobiography proves that even overtime, society has not changed all that much; when it comes to accepting people for who or where they came from.

China has been a communist country. Despite persistent debate over an extended period of time, the question whether which Chinese government is the most responsive to its people has never been permanently settled. However, I dare to claim that Qing Dynasty was the most open and receptive to its people among several Chinese governments. Some people might contend that Republic of China, Warlords, and Chinese Communist Party were the most responsive to its people. However, a close examination throughout this essay will clearly reveal the fallacious nature of their argument. My line of reasoning will derive its support from the most fundamental sources of human wisdom and history.

Communication between China and the United States has played a momentous role in the development of both nations for centuries. In class, we’ve learned how nationality, politics, economics and international relations have all come into play when discussing communication between the two powers. However, throughout history we’ve seen how it has been an uphill battle for China to maintain a healthy and productive relationship with the United States, and vice-versa. A number of historical events have been accounted for producing numerous generalizations, creating stereotypes and popular opinions. Ultimately, China and the United States have dealt with a great amount of mistrust and misunderstanding that has been very formative to the nations as we know them today.

The long history of trade between the United States of America and China and the other nations of the South China Sea is well known. In many cases, there have been strong tensions between the countries in this area and the US. The tensions of the past are especially true for relations between China and the US. The relationship troubles have shown up in the news again as recently as Feb. 19th. In an article for USA Today, Thomas Maresca reports that the

Regardless of healthcare and medical advances, birth outcome disparities continue to exist in the United States. In 2014, 1 out of 10 infant births were premature, correlating to over 380,000 infants born prematurely (Health 2016). The current national average for infant births before 37 weeks is 9.6% (Services 2010). Premature birth is identified as a birth that occurs before the 37- week gestation. During the preterm period, infants are placed at a high risk of death and developing disabilities that may cause permanent handicap. Mothers that give birth preterm may partake in risky behaviors such as smoking and drug usage, lack proper nutrition, and are burdened financially. Maternal education intervention programs centered around the Health Belief Model may have a positive impact on maternal care and prevent premature birth.

There is a large diversity of people in Hong Kong because it continuously expands in economy and market. This of course, is a big advantage to our industry because although Precious Gems and Stones came in second to the Electronic equipment industries with a high dollar value of $82.4 billion and each export percentage share of 15.7% in terms of global shipments during 2014, the Precious Gems and Stones industry was the fastest growing among the top 10 export categories. China and U.S. relations are complex, but it is important to attribute historical context when analyzing contemporary issues. Prior to China establishing their global role as a superpower, their nation endured nearly a century of humiliation which began in the 1800s and concluded in the mid-1900s. Although they’ve redeemed their nationalism, the intrusion of Western imperialism created tension and hostility which lasted for years after. Also, the United States’ response to local Chinese events, such as the Tiananmen Square Massacre, negatively impacted their relationship because it was an example of how American media and officials utilized knowledge about particular Chinese events and disseminated various rhetorical messages in response.
