The theory of meaning comes from Mead an American philosopher, he developed the theory of symbolic interaction, he theorised that humans rely on shared symbols in order to understand person to person interactions. It is these symbols that allow us to interpret the meaning of everyday life (Giddens, 2006). Horses have always had personal meaning to me. For me the horse symbolises strength, freedom and grace. The bond that is built between a horse and its rider is one of understanding and trust, the rider needs to trust the horse, but the horse also develops trust in the rider. This bond between animal and human is one that is shared and understood by all horse riders. While horses have no verbal communication, there is instead communication

You've all seen the kids walking down the school halls in the jeans and boots or the students that hang out with their animals, right? Most of them are involved in FFA (which isn't just for farmers now a days) and with being in FFA comes the highlight of every member's life: being able to wear the official dress worn by other members sharing the same passion.
Perseverance is generally known as an admirable trait that has helped peasants become kings, and the weak transform into stronger images of themselves. It is a value that is often strived for, but in Tom Benecke’s case, it almost brought his death. Tom persevered when working on a small sheet of yellow paper that contained innumerable chicken-scratch figures and words. He hoped to slowly be recognized at his job by tirelessly completing extra tasks and jobs that would ultimately lead to his promotion.
Mead’s theory states the civilization we live in today is only here because of symbolic interactionism. Rather, without the different forms of communication human life would not be as advanced or intellectual. According to Mead, humans react towards others based on the perception we create of that individual in our head. Furthermore, humans cannot do this independently, but rely heavily on other’s perceptions to justify their own. Mead discusses how meaning is not pre-determined, but it is brought to light through symbolic interactionism. Mead proposes that there is an individualistic approach to the meanings of different symbols. The shortage

Horses are beautiful creatures that live with us on Earth. They are lovely and loyal to their owners. I wish I had a pet as a horse.
When I ride, I feel free, confident, and happy. I would ride almost every day, I enjoyed the sweat horse smell. I could not get enough of it. I would go home and tell my parents how much I loved riding. I told them how much I loved Lucie and how I wish I could be with her twenty four seven. I would even ask my parents repeatedly to skip school and go riding because I learned so much from my horse. Lucie became my best friend, not one person on Earth could compare to her. There is a saying “ horses aren't my whole life… they make my life whole.” The quote could not fit how I feel about horses any
Horses can uses your previous emotions to determine what your current mood/emotion is. Reacherse has shown that horses can read your facial expression. If a horse sees you happy then they will respond positively. On the other hand if they see you anger they will respond negatively, such as thinking you are a threat. If a horse looks at you with their left eye this shows that they think you are a threat to them. The data from the left eye goes to the right hemisphere of their brain, this side process potential threats. If a horse sees you with their right eye, they have a greater chance of responding positively to you. When a horse looks at you with their right eye the data enters the part of the brain that is made for positive reactions. Also
If you’ve ever owned an animal, you know that being around them can be extremely therapeutic. After a stressful day at work or school, it is always nice to come home to your pet and feel comforted by them. Many dog owners even claim that their dogs can feel their pain. However, if you speak to anyone who has been spent their life around horses, they’ll tell you that the connection between horse and rider is unlike any other. Norwegian researcher Anita Maurstad explains in a recent article, that over time horse and rider can become so attuned to each other that they develop a state of co-being. Maurstad also found, through research, that horses appear to learn to relate to humans in ways that provide them with a good quality of life. A recent study from Washington State university has concluded that kids who work with horses have significantly lower stress levels. In addition to these, there have been numerous other studies that show that working with horses decreases blood pressure, reduced feelings of anger, tension, and anxiety. Riding horses also allows you to gain feelings of self esteem, empowerment, patience, and trust. Because of the overwhelming positive effects that horses seem to have, horses are no longer being used just for recreational or agricultural
I believe in horses. I believe in their gentleness, strength, and speed. I believe in the sound of hoof slamming into the ground as a horse gallops across a field. I believe in the noise of a horse breathing heavily . I believe in the sweat of a horse. When a horse is sweaty and it is running you can see their body working as hard as possible to get as much speed as it can possibly make. I believe in the gentleness of a horse. After seeing all of that power and strength that a horse can make, it can be one of the most gentle creatures on earth. They are so much more incredibly powerful than you, yet they let you pet them, ride them, and pick up their feet off the ground. Even though there could be so many threats and prey animals
According to Hannah Yterdal, an equine specialist, interacting with horses can produce favorable physical, psychological, and emotional impacts on humans (Equine Connection web site). Thus, horses have an important role in the therapies, because of their ability of making excellent connections with humans, and producing favorable benefits by interacting. Horses can help disorders such as mental, physical, physiological, emotional and speech. Another condition that makes them a favorable therapy option is the similarities of behaviour that we have. For example, humans and horses enroll better surrounded by others. We work better with others than isolated, we are made for social interaction. Society and people nearby us have impact on our personality
They have four big, strong legs and a big head and have long smooth hair.
The horse has been one of man’s most useful tools for thousands of years. In ancient times they were used as food. About 1000 years ago they were domesticated and used to pull large loads. Then people began to ride them. Before the modern engine, horses were used to pull cannons and ammunition in war. When the engine eliminated the need for horses, people began to use them for pleasure purposes such as racing. But before horses were domesticated they were wild animals and as such needed what all animals need. Horses are living things because they get energy, move and grow, reproduce, protect themselves, and adapt to their environment.
In “The Rocking Horse Winner”, a story in which shows the devastating effects of materialism, D.H. Lawrence uses symbolism to develop the message that love and happiness can be destroyed by money. Lawrence uses the character of Paul’s mom as a symbol of greed to show the effects of materialism. The reason for the symbolism is mainly to show that children require love and compassion. Paul’s rocking horse and the whispering of the house represent his undeniable need for love.
When many people approach a horse, they instantly feel cautious of their surroundings. These people tense up and become terrified because of the horse’s size, how they look, or just because they have heard of people being injured from horses. Many people are intimidated by how big some horses can be and they do not want to be around them. Horses are only thought to be a dangerous animal, but they have helped humans in many ways. For instance, they have helped with farm work that humans couldn’t have done by themselves, and they were a mode of human transportation for many years. The things horses have done for humans have helped in many ways, but horses have many other purposes that can help people out. Although many people agree
